STRAIL road marking page 3/6 # 4 / PREPARATION 1 First clean surface of rubber panels using broom, leaf blower or other suitable tools. The marking may only be applied to dry surfaces! No residual moisture! 2 Use the chalk line to draw the straight lines (areas) required. Color: red. 3 Depending on the required amount mix > a) STRAIL road marking varnish (0.75 l) with two tubes of STRAIL road marking pigment (at 37 ml each) or b) STRAIL road marking varnish (3 l) with eight tubes of STRAIL road marking pigment (each 37 ml) homogeneously with STRAIL road marking thinner in a ratio of 1 : 10 (1 part thinner / 10 parts paint mixture). Ensure no foam is created when mixing the components! If necessary, reduce the speed of stirring!
STRAIL road marking page 4/6 # 5 / APPLYING AND USING THE STRAIL Road MARKING WITH A PAINT SPRAY SYSTEM 1 Wagner Finish 250 Airless Technical equipment: heating unit (min. 60 C) nozzle holder/gun 500 mm temperature-controlled, flexible pressure hose spray nozzle FF 410 (purple) filter unit 180 MA (red) power supply > 2 x 220 V Thoroughly rinse equipment with STRAIL road marking thinner prior to filling it with the paint mixture. Pour in paint mixture. Set heating/temperature control unit to 60 C and preheat for approx. 15 minutes. Working pressure: 240 bar 2 Applying the STRAIL road marking primer: Apply the STRAIL road marking primer with a hand roller according to the marked lines, so that the entire surface is wet. After application of the STRAIL road marking primer the colour needs to be sprayed on within max. 5 minutes. Please note: Don t use the STRAIL - Primer on asphalt or concrete surfaces. asphalt concrete 3 Position the road marking template according to the previously marked line pattern. 4 Application of the paint mixture: Apply the paint evenly with the spraying unit, making sure to fully cover the entire area (distance: approx. 20-30 cm). The road marking template can be removed immediately after spraying has been completed.
STRAIL road marking page 5/6 # 6 / APPLYING AND USING THE STRAIL Road MARKING WITH A HAND ROLLER 1 Applying the STRAIL road marking primer: Apply the STRAIL road marking primer with a hand roller according to the marked lines, so that the entire surface is wet. After application of the STRAIL road marking primer the paint coating needs to be applied within max. 5 minutes. Please note: Don t use the STRAIL - Primer on asphalt or concrete surfaces. asphalt concrete 2 Position the road marking template according to the previously marked line pattern. 3 Application of the paint mixture: Apply the paint evenly with the hand roller, making sure to fully cover the entire area. The road marking template can be removed immediately after the colour has been applied. # 7 / OPTIONAL > GLASS BEADS Optional glass beads can be sprinkled into the freshly applied colour to create good night visibility (reflection effect).
STRAIL road marking page 6/6 # 8 / CLEANING All equipment must be cleaned thoroughly after completion of marking. If cleaned properly and thoroughly, the nozzle and filter of the paint spray system can be used multiple times. After use, set the manometer of the paint spray system back to its zero position. # 9 / NOTE surface skinning: After approx. 2 hours trafficability: After approx. 6 hours thoroughly dry: After approx. 12 hours All consumables are perishable once they have been opened! Material safety data sheets will be provided upon request.
