CHANTILLY - 7th October Trainer of the day : André Fabre (104, 103, 204, 402) Jockey of the day : James Doyle (102, 203, 401, 501) Horse of the day : Stage Magic (501) Dark Horse : Orangefield (314) Race 1 1. SIGLO DE ORO - Sixth of eight to Beau Ideal on his debut at Deauville in July. Likely to improve 2. DREAM WARRIOR - Placed in both of his career starts in the UK last month. Must be respected here 3. CORSEN - Second to Kingstar on his debut here last month and can be in the mix again today 4. DRUMMORE - A close second to Dice Roll on his debut at Maisons-Laffitte in July. One for the short list 5. CRYSTAL DOLOIS - Unplaced in a claimer at Compiegne last time out in July. Hard to recommend here

6. MANCHESTER CITY - Decent effort when fourth at Baden Baden last month but needs to improve again today (4) DRUMMORE finished second to Dice Roll on his debut at Maisons-Laffitte in July. Dice Roll won the big Class 1 race on Arc weekend here last Saturday. He can open his account today at the expense of his stablemate (3) CORSEN who made a promising debut when runner up here last month and must be respected today. (2) DREAM WARRIOR and (1) SIGLO DE ORO are next best. (4) DRUMMORE - (3) CORSEN - (2) DREAM WARRIOR - (1) SIGLO DE ORO

Race 2 1. CAPE BYRON - Hard fought win on his reappearance at Ascot last month. Not ruled out stepped up in class 2. LIWANU - Won a Class 1 race at Compiegne last month but more required here today 3. D'BAI - Listed placed in the UK and France this year and not without a chance today 4. GLEN SHIEL - Fourth of five to Bay Of Poets in a Listed race at Clairefontaine in August. Respected here 5. HEURISTIQUE - Third to Golden Legend in a Group Three race at Maisons- Laffitte last month. Can be in the mix 6. TIKITIKI - Won a maiden on the sand here last year but looks outclassed today (5) HEURISTIQUE has been running well in Group races this year including her third behind Precieuse in the Group One Poule D'Essai Des Pouliches at Deauville in May. She is the selection to gain an overdue success. (3) D'BAI has good form in the UK and France this year and cannot be ruled out. (4) GLEN SHIEL and (1) CAPE BYRON can make the frame. (5) HEURISTIQUE - (3) D'BAI - (4) GLEN SHIEL - (1) CAPE BYRON

Race 3 1. MILLFIELD - Gets a 3.5 Kg penalty today for his win in a Class B handicap at Maidons-Laffitte last month. He won with a bit in hand on that occasion and cannot be ruled out off top weight 2. NORTH END - Gets a 3.5 Kg penalty today for his win in a Class D race here over course and distance last time out in July. Might find a few too good off this mark 3. GAMGOOM - Raised 3 Kg for winning a Class D handicap at Maisons-Laffitte in June. Ran well when third to Immediate there last month and must be respected 4. BORSAKOV - Raised 3.5 Kg for winning a Class D handicap at Saint-Cloud in June. Disappointing in his last two starts and hard to recommend today 5. COMEDIA ERIA - Raised 3.5 Kg for winning a Class D handicap at Clairefontaine in July. Unplaced in a similar race at Lion-D'Angers last month. Plenty to do here 6. ATTILAS - Won handicaps at Compiegne and Maisons-Laffitte in June. Went up 6 Kg in the weights as a result and may need to drop a few kilos to be competitive 7. ROSS CASTLE - Fifth of fifteen behind Millfield in a Class B handicap at Maisons-Laffitte last month. He was a Group Three winner there in May 2016 and is back on a fair mark at present 8. HATARI - Tenth of twelve behind Immediate in a Class D handicap at Maisons-Laffitte last month. Might be a little bit high in the weights at the moment 9. LEHAIM - Second of five behind Cheikeljack in a Class D race at Maisons- Laffitte last month. A couple of decent placed efforts in handicaps this year and on a reasonable mark 10. DARK ORBIT - A close second of sixteen behind Gaetano Donizetti in a Class D handicap at Lion-D'Angers last month. Well handicapped at the moment and can run in to a place today 11. HOPELESS - Raised 3.5 Kg for winning a Class D handicap here over course and distance in May. Unplaced in all three starts since then and likely to find a few too good today 12. ARTPLACE - Fourth of five behind Cheikeljack in a Class D race at Maisons- Laffitte last month. Won Class G claimers at Fontainebleau and Saint-Malo before that but a tougher test today 13. MAHARAD - Third of twelve behind Des Annees Folles in a Class E claimer at Maisons-Laffitte last month. Won two Class E handicaps earlier this year and interesting here today

14. ORANGEFIELD - Second of twelve behind Immediate in a Class D handicap at Maisons-Laffitte last month. Won two Class E handicaps during the Summer but still competitive off this mark 15. SENATOR FROST - Third of thirteen behind Milk Bar in a Class G handicap at Dax last month. Will need to improve from that to feature here today 16. DES ANNEES FOLLES - Won a Class E claimer in a close finish from Bellcanto at Maisons-Laffitte last month. Gets a 1.5 Kg penalty for that win and up againdt it here today (14) ORANGEFIELD has only finished outside of the first three once in his last twelve starts. The consistent gelding who was a close second to Intermediate at Maisons-Laffitte last month was only just beaten by Der Graue in a Class B handicap at Deauville in August. He can go one better today. The top weight (1) MILLFIELD and (3) GAMGOOM are both well capable at this level and cannot be ruled out. (9) LEHAIM is next best. (14) ORANGEFIELD - (1) MILLFIELD - (3) GAMGOOM - (9) LEHAIM - (10) DARK ORBIT - (12) ARTPLACE - (7) ROSS CASTLE - (13) MAHARAD

Race 4 1. MAY GIRL - Third to Heartache in a Group Two race at Doncaster last month. Must be respected 2. BEAU IDEAL - A close second to Sonjeu in a Listed race at Maisons-Laffitte last month and not ruled out here 3. RIOTICISM - Fourth to Rimini in a Group Three race here last month. Place prospects today 4. CONSEQUENCES - Has not run since June 22nd when unplaced in a Group Two race at Ascot. Tough task on French debut 5. RIVER CANNES - Last of five in a Group Three race at Maisons-Laffitte last time out and others preferred today 6. LOOKS A MILLION - One win from five starts in the UK and likely to find a few too good today 7. OVER REACTED - Third to Rimini in a Group Three race here last month and not without a chance today 8. REBEL ASSAULT - Has won two from six in the UK but plenty to do here on her French debut 9. KENTISH WALTZ - Unplaced in a Listed race at La Teste Buch last time out and needs to improve on that 10. SHAYA - Unplaced in a handicap at Chelmsford nine days ago and others preferred here today 11. ABSOLUTE CITY - Unbeaten after two starts including a Class 2 race at Vichy last time out. Up in class here but not ruled out (11) ABSOLUTE CITY steps up in class here today but could well be up to the task. The manner of her two victories to date in which she won with ease suggests that there is plenty more to come. (2) BEAU IDEAL was a close second to Sonjeu in a Listed race at Maisons-Laffitte last month and is an obvious danger. (1) MAY GIRL and (7) OVER REACTED are next best. (11) ABSOLUTE CITY - (2) BEAU IDEAL - (1) MAY GIRL - (7) OVER REACTED

Race 5 1. STAGE MAGIC - Hard fought win in a Group Three race here last month. One for the short list 2. PARABAK - Impressive winner of a maiden at Evreux last month but a big step up in class here 3. KOREVSKY - Got off the mark in a maiden at Salon-Provence last month but needs to improve again 4. KING OF CAMELOT - Won a maiden at Lyon Parilly last month and is likely to improve again today 5. KINGSTAR - Won on his debut over 1600m here last month. Extra 200m should not be a problem 6. LUMINATE - Won a newcomers race on her debut at Deauville in August but a much stiffer test here Charlie Appelby has been in terrific form with his two year old's this year. Just touched off in a Listed race at Deauville in August (1) STAGE MAGIC showed great tenacity when winning a Group Three here last month and looks the one to beat today. (5) KINGSTAR won a newcomers race on his debut here last month and can improve. (2) PARABAK and (6) LUMINATE are next best. (1) STAGE MAGIC - (5) KINGSTAR - (2) PARABAK - (6) LUMINATE

Race 6 1. AL HASNAA - Decent effort in a maiden at Divonne last time out but more required here 2. BERMONVILLE - A close second to Paducah on her debut at Mont-De- Marsan last month. Not ruled out 3. DIGHA - Needs to improve on both of her career starts to date to have a chance today 4. CONSET BAY - Disappointing here on her debut in April but likely to improve after a long break 5. MOREVER - Ran well when third to Moons Of Jupiter here in June. A chance if reproducing that form 6. LA MAGICIENNE - By Iffraaj and is a half sister to the Group Three winner Vedeux 7. FRENCH REFLECTION - By Declaration Of War and is the fifth foal to run out of a dam that has produced two winners 8. TELEPATHY - By Bated Breath and is a half sister to the Group Three placed Nomadic A daughter of Declaration Of War (7) FRENCH REFLECTION is a half sister to two winners one of whom was a winner on her racecourse debut. She gets a tentative vote ahead of another newcomer (8) TELEPATHY who is a half sister to the Group Three placed Nomadic and cannot be discounted. (2) BERMONVILLE and (1) AL HASNAA have both shown promise and must be respected. (7) FRENCH REFLECTION - (8) TELEPATHY - (2) BERMONVILLE - (1) AL HASNAA

Race 7 1. SING SOMETHING - Raised 2.5 Kg for winning a handicap at Deauville on his penultimate start. Disappointing last time out 2. MR SPLENDID - Unplaced in all seven starts this year but is on a fair mark at present 3. ROYAL ASPIRATION - Raised 4.5 Kg for winning a Class E handicap at Maisons-Laffitte last month. One for the short list here 4. AMADEUS WOLFE TONE - Won a Class G handicap at Moulins in August and runner up in his last two starts. Respected here 5. KIEFFER DES AIGLES - Third behind Hearts And Minds in a Class E handicap at Lion-D'Angers last month. Place prospects here 6. KING DAVID - Second to Red Fine in a Class G claimer at Argentan five days ago. Plenty to do here 7. JACK MUSCOLO - Fifth behind Immediate in a Class D handicap at Maisons- Laffitte last month. Not ruled out 8. GHOR - Fourth behind Renounce in a Class E handicap at Maisons-Laffitte last month. Won in Belgium before that 9. PREDETERMINED - Fourth behind Royal Aspiration in a Class E handicap at Maisons-Laffitte last month. Not without a chance 10. SILENT ROMANCE - Still a maiden after twelve career starts and needs to improve on recent form 11. NIMO - Sliding down the handicap but hard to recommend on the evidence of recent form 12. RENOUNCE - Fourth behind Des Annees Folles in a Class E claimer at Maisons-Laffitte last month. Respected today 13. MIGNOLINO - Dropping down the handicap but has been unplaced in all six starts this year 14. XENOPHANES - Fourth to Red Fine in a Class G claimer at Argentan five days ago and unlikely to feature here 15. CHICAGO BERE - Unplaced in a Class E handicap at Deauville last time out in August. Not recommended 16. ZALKAYA - Fourth behind Renounce in a Class E handicap at Maisons- Laffitte last month and interesting here

(3) ROYAL ASPIRATION has won three of his last four completed starts. Although he has risen by 13 Kg in the process he won with a bit in hand last time out and can continue on his winning ways today. (4) AMADEUS WOLFE TONE has also been in good form in handicaps recently and must be respected. (5) KIEFFER DES AIGLES and (7) JACK MUSCOLO are two more to consider. (8) GHOR is next best. (3) ROYAL ASPIRATION - (4) AMADEUS WOLFE TONE - (5) KIEFFER DES AIGLES - (7) JACK MUSCOLO - (8) GHOR

Race 8 1. ZOGH GRAVELLE - Decent effort in a Class E race at Craon last month but a tough task here off top weight 2. SHEZADOFF - Raised 2 Kg for winning a Class G handicap at Craon last month. Not ruled out 3. TEMPLE BAR - A close second to Bliss In The City in a Class E race at Nancy last month. On a fair mark 4. JIM DANDY - Unplaced in a Class G handicap at Le Mans ten days ago. Hard to recommend 5. DANILEO - Unplaced in a Class E handicap at Saint-Cloud last time out and a big step up in trip today 6. MAJESTIC CLUB - Raised 2 Kg for winning a Class E handicap at Compiegne last time out. Can be in the mix 7. COEUR DOLOIS - Disappointing last time out at Compiegne but is well handicapped at the moment 8. ELECKTRIC CAFE - Raised 6 Kg for winning handicaps at Croise-Laroche and Nantes last month. Could be more to come 9. LULU A LOME - A few decent efforts in the provinces this year but likely to find a few too good here today 10. SHE'S A LIGHTNING - Unplaced in four of her five career starts and unlikely to feature here today 11. VOLPE FIONA - Has some decent placed efforts this year but just one win from forty career starts 12. MISS AS - Well beaten second behind The Ninas in a Class E race at Dax last month. Hard to recommend here 13. ALL BY MYSELF - Fair fourth in a Class E handicap here in July but two poor runs since then 14. KHENTYKHETY - Still a maiden after nineteen career starts and not recommended today After four consecutive placings (6) MAJESTIC CLUB returned to winning ways in a Class E handicap at Compiegne last month. A 2 Kg penalty seems fair and the trip should not pose a problem. He gets the vote ahead of (8) ELECKTRIC CAFE who is going for three handicap wins in a row today. (2) SHEZADOFF and (1) ZOGH GRAVELLE must also be considered.

(6) MAJESTIC CLUB - (8) ELECKTRIC CAFE - (2) SHEZADOFF - (1) ZOGH GRAVELLE

CAEN - 7th October Trainer of the day : Dominique Mottier (214, 407) Jockey of the day : Eric Raffin (101, 208, 612, 712, 818) Horse of the day : Comtesse du Chêne (901) Dark Horse : Emir de Chenu (213) Race 1 1. ENERGIE DU DIGEON - Sanctioned three for three under harness. Changes direction and looks classy enough to make a good go of this 2. EVA HAUFOR - Smartly-bred type but has failed to finish a race without the stewards' intervention. Debuts under the saddle and if behaved should figure prominently 3. EBELLA SOMOLLI - Picked up her first check at the third time of asking and not expected to make much of an impact on debut under the saddle 4. EMERAUDE DEL PHEDO - Yet to show any particular capacity for either specialty and will need to show marked improvement 5. ELA DE LA BARRE - Lightly-raced type making her first foray into ridden competition and others preferred 6. ELISA DU CHERISAY - No closer than fourth from five to date. Switches code but unlikely to shake things up 7. ELLE DU CHERISAY - Moderate filly that gave a good account in lone ridden start. Is on form and will be one to watch 8. ENDORPHINE - Pleased when third on debut over track and trip. Still somewhat green but returning to racing right-handed should work to her advantage 9. ETOILE DE LA DIAIE - Has placed just twice from a dozen starts to date and latest result does nothing to inspire confidence 10. ECHENTA CHEF - Regularly gives her best. Well-beaten at Vincennes last time though but should still generate interest 11. EFFICIENCY - Moderate sort that has yet to demonstrate any aptitude for the ridden code and can be ruled out 12. ETOILE DE BRUYERE - Delicate but has shown significant ability. Reassured when second at Vire last time and should be able to make her presence felt once again

13. ESPERANZA JIHEM - Smart filly in both codes. Pleased on debut at Bernay before breaking stride at Vichy however if behaved she has a big role to play Although disqualified early at Vichy last time (13) ESPERANZA JIHEM is still a filly with considerable ability and with Lebourgeois on her back this time should get straight back down to business. (2) EVA HAUFOR has yet to finish a race unsanctioned but she has talent in spades and the change of code should prove key to her rehabilitation. (1) ENERGIE DU DIGEON has a similar profile and with the aid of Eric Raffin can play an important role. The capable (8) ENDORPHINE comes here fresh and if on good behaviour should be able to trot into the money. (13) ESPERANZA JIHEM - (2) EVA HAUFOR - (1) ENERGIE DU DIGEON - (8) ENDORPHINE

Race 2 1. EL MUNDO - Has finished no closer than sixth from five starts to date and can be ruled out 2. EAGLE MESLOIS - Encouraged on his last start with a sulky and returns to harness racing after two failed efforts under the saddle but still has a lot to find 3. EOLE DU PRIEURE - Respectable trotter but has finished close just the once and others preferred 4. ELIOT DE MELODIE - Tends to give a better account on turf and in this company will have his work cut out 5. EDITO FLASH - Has shown respectable aptitude for the game but failed to fire when stepped up and can be passed over 6. ELVIS DES VALLEES - Placed just twice from 19 career outings and has no realistic chance 7. ECLAT DE REP - Unbeaten from two on turf. Makes debut in better class on hard surface but will nonetheless garner significant support 8. EMIR DU PONT - Has ample ability but sanctioned more often than not. Went close on lone right-handed start and can play an important role if he can keep his action together 9. ENRICO - Got his career off to a successful start but form regressing.in this field however he could still make the first five 10. ELECTROCHOC - Colt with considerable talent. Unraced since mid-june though and may need the outing 11. ENZO RIVER - Showed significant potential last season. Sanctioned in both this year but with application will be one to note 12. ELEVE DE LOUIS - Returns to harness racing after a brace of fine efforts under the saddle and if form transitions he will not be far off the mark 13. EMIR DE CHENU - Complicated individual but appears to be back in the game. No references going right-handed but if applied should make a big impact 14. EL POPOF - Very hard to fault since June debut. Beaten by Emir De Chenu at Pornichet last time but a major player all the same 15. EMPEREUR GUIVIA - Has shown better aptitude for the ridden code this term and on current form will have little to offer 16. EASY CHOICE - Serious colt that has begun to come into his own. Left a good impression at Vire last time and should again figure prominently

(14) EL POPOF has been very hard to knock since his first steps on the track and on present form looks the horse to beat. (7) ECLAT DE REP has won both races so far and although being tested on a hard surface for the first time could well prove the principal challenger. (16) EASY CHOICE has raced solidly of late and will justifiably generate interest. (8) EMIR DU PONT is still relatively green but has shown promise and can get a look in if he can get off on the right foot. (9) ENRICO was unplaced in his last two bit on this occasion could steal his way into the first five. (14) EL POPOF - (7) ECLAT DE REP - (16) EASY CHOICE - (8) EMIR DU PONT - (9) ENRICO

Race 3 1. AWA VICTORIA - Can prove tricky but has form under the saddle. Surprised when fifth over course and distance late June but has not raced since and is unlikely to influence the result 2. BARACK - Regularly acquits himself respectably. Pleased in prep race late last month and should again acquit himself competitively 3. ARMADA BUROISE - Has not once demonstrated any liking for ridden racing and current harness form insufficient to warrant much support 4. PANORAMIC - Talented type but has done nothing noteworthy since the winter and not a realistic proposition 5. A TOI JIM - Seldom seen in this code but has been dynamic under harness all year. Beat Barack on his return to the specialty last month and should again figure prominently 6. APOLLON D'ILLE - Won four over the summer but has not been as effective since being stepped up. Unshod behind this time but must still find more 7. BARAKA DE LOU - Fine dual-purpose mare that is seldom far from the action. Last ridden effort can be ignored and should make amends 8. BARAKA GEDE - Enjoyed a fruitful winter but has struggled this season and needs to keep her stride in check 9. AVENTURE DES ISLES - Boasts a fine record in this code. Fourth to Breeder's Cup at Vincennes before beating the hardy Butch Cassidy at Mauquenchy and on similar form should make a big impact 10. BREEDER'S CUP - Good class of mare that has never disappointed in ridden competition when racing unshod. Comes here off a solid victory at Vincennes and looks a serious player once more (10) BREEDER'S CUP has never disappointed in this code when unshod - she won in style at Vincennes last time and if similarly disposed can double up. (9) AVENTURE DES ISLES finished fourth to her that day but has since stamped her mark at Mauquenchy and will be no pushover. (5) A TOI JIM was impressive in Paris early last month on just his third start in the discipline and a similar effort should see him go close. (2) BARACK finished a place behind him on that occasion and will also have his supporters this time. (10) BREEDER'S CUP - (9) AVENTURE DES ISLES - (5) A TOI JIM - (2)

BARACK

Race 4 1. DREAM VEPIMI - Lightly-raced sort that has demonstrated no aptitude for the game so far and can be passed over 2. DIESEL STAR - Picked up his first place cheque when second here last month at 169/1. Repeat unlikely however 3. DIAMANT LUXOR - Modest individual that seldom shakes things up and is not about to break the mould 4. DANDY DE MELODIE - Has had nothing to show for his efforts since June 2016 and can be written off 5. DURFAN - Has been acquitting himself honourably for the past six weeks but has no great liking for Caen and not an obvious choice 6. DITO - A maiden from 18. Encouraged in a minor event two weeks ago but still looks outclassed 7. DROLE DE MEC - Has looked a serious prospect so far. Returns from his break and expected to get straight back into the game 8. DREAM ALONG - Moderate colt that went into his break on a low note. Unraced for three months and no threat 9. DALI DES NEUF CLOS - Has finished in the frame just once from 21 starts and will not find this the easiest of tests 10. DJANGO RIO - Beginning to realise his potential after a troubled start. Pleased here two weeks ago and with Nivard in the sulky this time should play a leading role 11. DESTIN D'ALARINE - Has looked rather ordinary this summer and recent results do nothing to inspire confidence 12. DAHLIA DU PONT - Not the most reliable of trotters but a top driver drafted in this time which could prove key to his rehabilitation 13. DIAMANT DIGEO - Kicked his career off nicely but has struggled with stride issues of late. Is well-placed in front however and can make amends 14. DEFI DU FOSSE - Very consistent since his return this season. Goes very well right-handed and should not be far from the action 15. DIAMOND BOURBON - Seldom disappoints when applied but incurs the handicap here and others preferred 16. DAKI DU DORAT - No slouch on a good day but unplaced in last three and will struggle with the extra distance 17. DOLLAR GEDE - Speedy sort with an excellent record. Unraced for three months though and the extra 25m does him no favours

After having had time to recharge his batteries the capable (7) DROLE DE MEC returns to competition and victory looks well within his grasp here. He will however be pitted against the delicate but talented (10) DJANGO RIO whose handler has called in Franck Nivard for the occasion. (13) DIAMANT DIGEO is undeniably able and can go close if he can stay in stride. (14) DEFI DU FOSSE has hardly stepped a foot wrong this term and returning to racing right-handed does his prospects no disservice. (12) DAHLIA DU PONT will be driven by David Thomain this time which could make all the difference. (7) DROLE DE MEC - (10) DJANGO RIO - (13) DIAMANT DIGEO - (14) DEFI DU FOSSE - (12) DAHLIA DU PONT

Race 5 1. DOC DES ILES - Yet to show any particular aptitude for the game and chances slim at best 2. DANSE LE ROCK - Disqualified more often than not. Encouraged here late September but still not easy to trust 3. DELIONO - Went close in four of his last five but recent effort here does not bode well for his chances 4. DUCAT DU GOUTIER - Got the season off to a positive start but has since lost his way and no realistic chance 5. DEFI DE BELLANDE - Pleased in two of his last three but thrashed over track and trip two weeks ago and can be ignored 6. DEFI DES ELIES - Moderate type that made little impression in a Class F here late September and looks to have too much to do 7. DJAG DU ROUEZO - On flying form for the past two months. Benefits from a front line start and with Nivard at the helm could lose his maiden status 8. DJEAN CASTLE - Delicate but otherwise very rewarding. Will appreciate these conditions and looks a player on his return to harness racing 9. DRAKKAR DES ISLES - Consistently gives his best but it is seldom good enough. Disregard 10. DONUTS DU METZ - Pleased earlier in the summer but form has since regressed and must reaffirm 11. DIEGO DU THENNEY - Seldom far from the action when applied. Has looked better lately when barefoot and is not incapable of making the frame 12. DESTIN DE LINIERES - Has failed to make the first three since December 2016 and will have nothing to offer 13. DIMPLE DU KLAU - Has shown a different side to himself lately when barefoot. Comes here on the back of a respectable win at Guingamp and will generate some interest 14. DIWAN LORIETTE - Not much to like on his formsheet for the past four months and can be passed over 15. DAVCOL - Boasts a good record at the venue and with hind shoes off this time should be good enough to finish in the mix 16. DREAM DE SAINT SO - Very hard to knock of late. Left a good impression at Vincennes last month and going unshod behind this time can only enhance his already good prospects 17. DOMINO DODVILLE - Very consistent sort that went close at Cabourg last

time. Is shod on this occasion and incurs the penalty but a minor place chance all the same (7) DJAG DU ROUEZO has looked a serious sort in recent months. He has been entrusted to Nivard for the occasion and from the front line could get off the mark. (16) DREAM DE SAINT SO is without doubt a better horse but he gives away 25m this time and may come off second-best. (15) DAVCOL similarly starts on the back line but has a good record over course and distance and must be respected. While still somewhat delicate (11) DIEGO DU THENNEY has acquitted himself more competitively since going barefoot and also looks to have a decent place chance. (17) DOMINO DODVILLE has demonstrated good consistency recently but racing shod relegates him to a minor place prospect this time around. (7) DJAG DU ROUEZO - (16) DREAM DE SAINT SO - (15) DAVCOL - (11) DIEGO DU THENNEY - (17) DOMINO DODVILLE

Race 6 1. DICKSON JASMA - Sanctioned six for seven to date and can expect to remain friendless in the markets 2. DUTCH DAKOTA - Unplaced from two under harness here. Switches code and chances limited 3. DREAM DU CHOQUEL - Has shown the limits of his capacity for either code and can be confidently disregarded 4. DIAMANT DU PLAIX - Modest individual that showed no aptitude in either start in this code and can be ruled out 5. DESIR BARBES - Tends to give a respectable account under harness at a lower level and will struggle to make any impact first time in ridden competition 6. DIEGO DE LASSAY - Never closer than fifth from six attempts under the saddle and will have too much to do 7. DREAM DE BIRDY - Showed respectable attitude for this branch of the game earlier in the year but has not been seen out since March and will need the race 8. DRAKKAR STORY - Has placed just once from sixteen starts in this discipline and will have nothing to give 9. DJANGO DE LA BASLE - Has looked very solid since June debut. Finished good third behind Derby Del Green over track and trip last month and will again garner support 10. DANDY DE BELLANDE - Encouraged last week at Graignes first time under the saddle and will have his supporters 11. DRUZAK DU BOULAY - Moderate trotter taking his first steps in ridden competition and unlikely to shake things up 12. DU RHUM DES ILES - Got the season off to a good start and although having struggled recently has Raffin in the saddle and if applied will be a tough rival 13. DUC DE PORHLEGAL - Has done nothing noteworthy from nine appearances this year and can be passed over 14. DIEGO DE LUNES - Decent sort in the other code. Out of the picture in last two and makes ridden debut unshod behind. Minor place chance 15. DERBY DEL GREEN - Delicate but has turned a corner recently with hind shoes off. Finished good second here two weeks ago and should be capable of going close once more 16. DAHLIA DU BON AIR - Left a good impression when third over course and distance early last month. Not as effective in last two but has shown serious speed here and not to be underestimated

17. DEFI D'HAUTVENT - Dependability not his strong suit but very effective over similar distances. Drops back in class and has a role to play (15) DERBY DEL GREEN has turned a corner recently and latterly gave a fine account under these conditions. Four shoes off this time and looks the pick of the field. (12) DU RHUM DES ILES has demonstrated very good aptitude for the specialty and with Eric Raffin on board for his return can be assured a competitive ride. (16) DAHLIA DU BON AIR showed good speed on his lone start at Caen and if behaved will be one to note. (9) DJANGO DE LA BASLE has been solid so far and will garner support considering how well he acquitted himself behind the favourite two weeks ago. (17) DEFI D'HAUTVENT drops back to a more reasonable level and should also get a look in. (15) DERBY DEL GREEN - (12) DU RHUM DES ILES - (16) DAHLIA DU BON AIR - (9) DJANGO DE LA BASLE - (17) DEFI D'HAUTVENT

Race 7 1. CYRINE DES ORMEAUX - Nothing to like on her formsheet for the past four months and can be confidently written off 2. CIRCE DE CHANJAC - Lost her way after placing at Vichy early July and on present form will struggle to leave her mark 3. CAMBADA D'OR - Has been acquitting herself respectably of late and nature of recent Argentan performance augurs well for her chances 4. CIGALE DU HOULME - Got back in the game at Vichy after a trio of clinkers. Unshod in front once more and sure to generate interest 5. CIRCE VENESI - Blows hot and cold. Unplaced in last four and unlikely to influence the outcome after two months off 6. CAROLINE DE FIRFOL - Made good progress before being sent for a spell. Barefoot for comeback and breaking from the front will do her prospects no harm 7. CRESTOISE PHEDO - Has looked somewhat ordinary all season but encouraged on penultimate start and should not be entirely overlooked 8. CHRYSTEL DE VALACE - Produced nothing from three earlier in the year. Unshod behind for her return but is unlikely to be at peak fitness 9. CHARISMA - Has just twice made the first three this year and must show marked improvement 10. CALYPSO D'HARCOUEL - Back at the top of her game with two wins from three and latterly over course and distance. Incurs the penalty this time and although shod can still figure prominently 11. CASA JENILOU - Moderate type but sanctioned in five of her last six and will not be easy to trust 12. CHRISTIANA - Has not made the frame under harness for the past 14 months. Drops back in class which should be enough to make amends 13. CHARLOTTE TWIN - Has shown more under the saddle this year and latest results do nothing to inspire confidence 14. CALYPSO DU RELAIS - Regular for the most part but has not produced the goods since returning to competition and others preferred 15. CANNELLE DE DABE - Has enjoyed a good run of late. Not up against the boys this time and will be one to note 16. CILADY PIERJI - Won last time at the venue but has struggled of late and needs to show improvement 17. CEMILIE DE LAROQUE - Pleases for the most part when she can maintain stride. Goes barefoot for the occasion and is expect to play a leading role

18. COTE D'AZUR - Useful on a good day but not currently at her best. Is barefoot this time and reunited with Franck Nivard. Claim (17) CEMILIE DE LAROQUE returns to a track she appreciates and will be barefoot for the occasion. She should be good enough to resist the useful (18) COTE D'AZUR who returns to racing unshod all four and with Nivard at the helm looks a serious player. (3) CAMBADA D'OR benefits from a front line break and on present form will have a lot to offer. (7) CRESTOISE PHEDO is regularly competitive when racing unshod and will be reined for the first time by Yoann Lebourgeois. (12) CHRISTIANA will be paired with Raffin for the first time and should not be far from the action. (17) CEMILIE DE LAROQUE - (18) COTE D'AZUR - (3) CAMBADA D'OR - (7) CRESTOISE PHEDO - (12) CHRISTIANA

Race 8 1. BOBBY JET - Ended 2015 on a victory but has done nothing since and can be written off 2. BILL QUICK - Sanctioned more often than not this year and will not be easy to back 3. BRAKO JIEL - Regular for the most part but faces stiffer competition this time and will need to be at his best 4. BARCA DE VANDEL - Has turned a corner in recent weeks. Scored at Savenay two weeks ago and from the front line should acquit himself honourably 5. BARAKA - Not the most productive horse in the field and has not done enough recently to be considered threatening 6. BELINDA DU ROUMOIS - Blows hot and cold and better on turf. Not an obvious choice 7. BELLISSIMA DUBRIO - Has done nothing of note for the past 16 months and is not about to change her ways 8. BONZAI DES BORDES - Won his only start at the venue but recent form insufficient to warrant much support 9. BORIS DE KARA - Ended last season on a high note and has returned impressively this term. Breaks from the front and can play a leading role 10. BRYTANE DU ROZEL - Put in some good efforts over the summer but out of the picture in last three and must reaffirm 11. BE CASH MONEY - Moderate trotter that has no liking for Caen and on this occasion has even more to do 12. BROOKLYN HEROLD - Returned from his break in good shape. Escapes the penalty and if fully fit should not be far off the mark 13. BRENDA DU CHATELET - Regularly shows a lack of discipline but tends to show more under the saddle and others preferred 14. BLIND FAITH - Delicate but otherwise very rewarding. Latest effort can be ignored and in spite of the 25m handicap will have her supporters 15. BARDANE TURGOT - Has finished in the first five in all but one start at Caen. Comes here off a solid Vire victory but a minor place chance at best this time 16. BENOIT ROYAL - Very useful for the most part and although unlucky at Feurs can bounce back with a big performance 17. BODEGA CHENEVIERE - Not the most dependable but met traffic problems at Lisieux when full of running and on similar form has a part to play here

18. BLUE LABEL - Has never disappointed in all three associations with Eric Raffin and although on the back line here still looks the horse to beat When reined by Eric Raffin (18) BLUE LABEL does everything asked of him and must be considered a leading contender here. He will however have to give 25m to the consistent (9) BORIS DE KARA who returned from his extended break in cracking shape. After two excellent performances (16) BENOIT ROYAL fell foul of the stewards at Feurs but can be backed with confidence this time. (12) BROOKLYN HEROLD is well in on the first line and should continue his regular ways. Lady Luck was not on (17) BODEGA CHENEVIERE's side at Lisieux but with a clear path this time she could pleasantly surprise. (18) BLUE LABEL - (9) BORIS DE KARA - (16) BENOIT ROYAL - (12) BROOKLYN HEROLD - (17) BODEGA CHENEVIERE

Race 9 1. COMTESSE DU CHENE - Serious mare that has never disappointed when reined by Nivard. Is back barefoot following a solid prep and from the front line can impose 2. BILY DE GUERINIERE - Hardy sort when on form but unraced since June and offers little hope 3. ALSONN DE GUEZ - Nothing to show for his efforts for the past two years and can be written off 4. ANZA DU CARBONEL - Has placed three from ten at Caen but has not been at her most threatening lately and will need to find more 5. BAILEYSE - Form regressing since the break and will struggle to make any impact 6. BIXENTA DU GERS - More a horse for the other discipline and poses no danger on first start since March 7. BORIS DES DOUITS - Has done nothing noteworthy in either code for some time and can be passed over 8. BARBUE - Currently enjoying a good run of form and has never disappointed at the venue. Starts on the first row and should not be far from the action 9. BOB - Enjoyed a productive spring before taking a break. Second start back but has shoes on and others preferred this time 10. VIATKA MADRIK - Very consistent sort that has won two of her last three. Scalped Brissac at Toulouse nine days ago and should again figure prominently 11. VAISSEAU - Not the most productive in this branch of the game. Preferred under the saddle and no threat 12. VENOSC DE MINEL - Good class of trotter that made a fine comeback at Vincennes early last month. Breaks from the back but should still have the measure of most 13. BE MINE DE HOUELLE - Gives a good account for the most part. Below-par last time but backs up in harness competition this time and should not be overlooked 14. VASCO DE VIETTE - Won two of his last four but better going left-handed and with shoes on has nothing to offer 15. VARUS DU BOCAGE - Respectable trotter but has not been seen out for six months and will need the race 16. ANETTE DU MIREL - Ended last season on a low note and has picked up where she left off

17. VOLCAN D'OCCAGNES - Better sort in the other discipline but still off his game and can be ruled out 18. BOEING DU BOCAGE - Solid sort that has two races in him since the spell. Gave a good account under the saddle last time and returns to harness racing with legitimate ambition (1) COMTESSE DU CHENE is a very faithful servant when applied and is currently in fine shape. She prepped nicely at La Capelle and starting barefoot from the first line should be able to return to winning ways. She can nonetheless expect to encounter resistance from the consistent (12) VENOSC DE MINEL who was particularly impressive on comeback at Vincennes. (10) VIATKA MADRIK toppled Brissac at Toulouse last time to make it two for three and must also be considered a player. (8) BARBUE has a good entry here and can give this a decent go, but Champenois will need to keep an eye on (18) BOEING DU BOCAGE who was particularly impressive under the saddle mid-september. (1) COMTESSE DU CHENE - (12) VENOSC DE MINEL - (10) VIATKA MADRIK - (8) BARBUE - (18) BOEING DU BOCAGE

MARSEILLE-VIVAUX - 7th October Trainer of the day : Christophe Escuder (302, 402, 501) Jockey of the day : Franck Blondel (101, 208, 302, 402, 604) Horse of the day : Giralda (207) Dark Horse : Balle Réelle (306) Race 1 1. OLYMPICO - A record of steady improvement in three runs and looks a player 2. PORTO POLLO - Well beaten thirteenth on debut and looks a huge outsider 3. THIS IS US - Much improved effort when runner up in a claimer last time so chance in poor race 4. DARK HORSE - Looks one for handicaps after two very inconclusive outings to date 5. PREMIER LION - Appears to have little chance after three unplaced efforts to date 6. MOUNT SILVER - Just a hint of ability so far in three runs and looks a to have no chance 7. FLY DE CERISY - Unplaced in all six outings and can be completely ruled out 8. FREDDO DU DESERT - Placed in three of his seven and has a shout in poor contest 9. TOUJOURS RIQUET - A newcomer by Kingsalsa who looks one for handicaps later on 10. OH LE CORSE - Dam won four times and five of her six offspring have been successful There is no doubt but that this opening event for two year old maidens is of dubious quality. (1) OLYMPICO seems to be getting better with each run judged on recent spins at Cagnes and Hyeres so there is hope he can edge out a similar type in (3) THIS IS US. (8) FREDDO DU DESERT and (9) TOUJOURS RIQUET have chances of sorts.

(1) OLYMPICO - (3) THIS IS US - (8) FREDDO DU DESERT - (9) TOUJOURS RIQUET

Race 2 1. REVE TOUJOURS - Well beaten on both starts and will be better in handicaps later on 2. BEAUTE ABSOLUE - Nothing in three runs and very easy to dismiss out of hand 3. MINA CHOPE - Cannot be considered on the basis of two runs so far and has little hope 4. LADY LANE - Seventh on debut at Salon-de-Provence and might have something to offer 5. ALICHAN DOREE - Not beaten far when fifth on debut at Salon-de-Provence finishing two placed ahead of Lady Lane 6. VATORINA - Well beaten on debut and needs ti improve a huge bundle here 7. GIRALDA - Record of steady improvement in three runs and a huge contender 8. JESSY LOVE - Last four ruins have been here and was nice runner up here latest 9. UNE SAONOISE - Tenth on debut at Moulins so needs to kick on from that to have a hope 10. ASSONANCE - Placed just once in five runs and will do well to take this on those numbers Nathaniel is the sire of the moment having been the supplier of the incredible Enable and while there is nothing of that calibre here her daughter (7) GIRALDA looks poised for victory especially with the step up in distance seeming sure to suit. (8) JESSY LOVE looks good for the forecast. (5) ALICHAN DOREE and (4) LADY LANE can trouble the judge too. (7) GIRALDA - (8) JESSY LOVE - (5) ALICHAN DOREE - (4) LADY LANE

Race 3 1. DEIMOS - Goes well here and did it nicely last time out so every chance again 2. FIRST WOOD - Four of five wins came at this venue so definitely worth another look 3. PRINCESS DJEYNA - Dual winner from eleven and must be recognized here for sure 4. INVINCIBLE LOVE - Sole success from nine was gained here but can enter the equation 5. POWER OF THE CROSS - Won two in a row earlier this season and can have a say in proceedings 6. BALLE REELLE - One victory from seven which was gained at this course and a must for shortlist 7. SILK OF RIO - Notched up two in a row here earlier this season but not in that form now 8. HOLY MAKFI - Dual winner from fifteen but just two average runs thus far this season 9. CAMAYPAUCHA - Third career win was gained here three runs back and could have each way chances 10. HERMANGARDE - Dual winner from fourteen and runner up in her last three runs so is another for long short list 11. EVREST BERE - Has placed several times in his sixteen runs and will get it done some day 12. AZARCHOP - Placed in half of his eight starts and should win some day for sure 13. LAST PARADISE - Sole win was gained at Compiegne in April, but not in same form since There are several of these that can be given every chance so thread carefully is the advice. An each way punt on (6) BALLE REELLE might prove beneficial as the filly has only been out of the frame once in seven runs and her sole success came here over course and distance. (3) PRINCESS DJEYNA heads up a big cast of dangers. (1) DEIMOS and (2) FIRST WOOD needs a big second look.

(6) BALLE REELLE - (3) PRINCESS DJEYNA - (1) DEIMOS - (2) FIRST WOOD

Race 4 1. RIZZICHOP - Dual winner already this year and chance if putting best foot forward 2. LLOYDMINSTER - This five time winner has solid form overall and has every chance 3. SPOTTED CAT - Four time winner who has been kept extremely busy this campaign but without success 4. VERTI CHOP - Just the one win from twenty three but has bits and pieces of form 5. ITS MY STORY - Won two in a row earlier this year and might get involved for a place 6. ASAP - One win from six and is unexposed with every chance here in weakish affair 7. HE'S A DREAMER - Won four in a row late last year and could be type to go very well here 8. QUEEN AGDAL - Twice a winner earlier this season but latest three efforts are poor 9. ZEMIRO - Remarkable sort who won two in a row earlier this year to make it fourteen from one hundred and fourteen 10. CARDOLAN - Another fourteen time winner from over a century of starts 11. PETIT HUMUS - Very good hit rate with eleven from fifty nine but a long time since latest one 12. PIERRE PRECIEUSE - Has already run twenty times without success this season but has threatened 13. BLACK PRINCESS - Fifteen runs this year without success but has shown up well 14. CALON SEGUR - Nine time winner from seventy four but needs to come back to form (2) LLOYDMINSTER is the selection here. The seven year old Elusive Quality gelding is remarkably consistent and put up another bold showing when runner up at Salon-de-Provence last time and should be able to go one better today. (7) HE'S A DREAMER could be ready to pounce again. (6) ASAP has to have a squeak. Likewise (4) VERTI CHOP.

(2) LLOYDMINSTER - (7) HE'S A DREAMER - (6) ASAP - (4) VERTI CHOP

Race 5 1. LADY FONG - Dual victor from twenty and entitled to loads of respect in this affair 2. P'TIT GARCON - Placed in two of his six but this looks a step beyond once more 3. BISSIN - One win from eighteen and looks to have a bit of work on here for a second 4. RIO AMARE - Is zero from fourteen and not too much to get excited about 5. PURE POESIE - One victory from fourteen runs but looks a big outsider here 6. ANKORUNE - Is still a maiden after nine attempts and has placed just once 7. STORMBERG - One victory from twenty six but has been showing up well so could be involved 8. LA VALENTINE - Fourth on debut and some glimpses in four runs thereafter 9. ZORRA CHOPE - Still looking for that elusive first win after sixteen tries but has placed twice 10. PLUIE D'ESPOIR - Still to place in seven runs so she has it all to do at this point 11. COPING STONE - Placed a couple of times in eighteen runs but that form will not suffice even in this 12. TYRANNOSAURUS REX - Still to place in a dozen runs and surely that will not be good enough 13. ZAHIRIA - Just a couple of places in twenty two outings and is simple to dismiss To say that this is average would be a complete understatement. There are no less than nine maiden starters going to post and they look limited in the extreme to be fair. Of the ones that have won in the past, (1) LADY FONG, looks the pick. She should have enough to see off (7) STORMBERG and (3) BISSIN with (6) ANKORUNE faring next nest. (1) LADY FONG - (7) STORMBERG - (3) BISSIN - (6) ANKORUNE

Race 6 1. BENJALE - Solid form throughout last season and much lighter campaign this time round. Could be dangerous 2. MOLESNE CHOP - Six time winner from seventy eight but is impossible to predict 3. STERLING LINES - Just the one win from thirty nine but was third last time out 4. MIRASOL - Only one victory in twenty one but was runner up last time 5. ADJUDANT CHEF - Dual winner from sixty five runs and does a lot of running here 6. SPLIT STEP - Won at Lyon -Parilly earlier this year but form much of a muchness since then 7. REINE VERTE - Is zero from thirteen and likely to remain that way once again 8. THE RACER - Five times a winner from fifty but completely out of form at the minute 9. BOLTCITY - Eight time winning veteran but best days may be behind rather than ahead 10. ZOR - Previously a four time winner but the wait for the fifth goes on 11. BROMLEY CROSS - He is zero from twenty eight and very little to look forward to here 12. WHITE SQUALL - Four time winner from fifty but arrives here in questionable form 13. VALENTINE CONDE - Remains a maiden after twenty three and surely one of the longshots 14. BE ON THE BELL - Four time winner from seventy four but is a long time between drinks This is anything but mouthwatering. However, something has to be victorious and that being the case then maybe (4) MIRASOL might be up to the task. The filly was a good runner up at Cavaillon last month so is at least in form. There might be better to come from (1) BENJALE also. (5) ADJUDANT CHEF and (6) SPLIT STEP might grab some action.

(4) MIRASOL - (1) BENJALE - (5) ADJUDANT CHEF - (6) SPLIT STEP

Race 7 1. RELAXED BOY - Disqualified last time and this triple winner winner is hard to predict 2. KAYENNE - Seven time winner from thirty five and sets the standard on overall form 3. DOWNEVA - One win so far this term but disappointing of late and hard to be strong on 4. GALANTES IVRESSES - Four time winner from nineteen but has rather fallen apart in last three outings but could bounce back 5. CAP ROCAT - Dual winner from seventeen and can be given a chance of sorts 6. DEGRISEMENT - One win from eight and must be involved in this finish one presumes 7. DEEP INSIDE - Won on her second start last term but just the one outing since and back from another absence (2) KAYENNE looks a very solid choice for this closing event. The five year old can boast some very strong credentials coming into this and a reproduction of a series of her better outings should see her greet the judge in front of (4) GALANTES IVRESSES and (6) DEGRISEMENT. A case of sorts can be built for (3) DOWNEVA as well. (2) KAYENNE - (4) GALANTES IVRESSES - (6) DEGRISEMENT - (3) DOWNEVA

LAVAL - 7th October Trainer of the day : Christian Bigeon (803, 804, 902) Driver of the day : Jean-Michel Bazire (107, 309, 410) Horse of the day : Borsalino du Klau (214) Dark Horse : Balade Majyc (406) Race 1 1. BIG HEADACHE - In the frame twice since winning at Enghien in July. Trainer confident he will improve on his sixth of 18 at Lisieux 10 days ago 4. AURA NORMANDE - Course winner twice last year. Scored three times elsewhere in first part of this year. Runner-up at Les Sables-d'Olonne in July. 10th to (7) Djali Boko at Vincennes latest 5. ATHOS DE LUDREAM - Hasn't troubled the judge since winning at Lisieux in March 12. AVALO MONTAVAL - A few respectable efforts but not in the frame since April 2016. Eighth of 17 at Les Sables-d'Olonne latest 13. ANOTHER - Won at Vire on September 12 when barefoot. Shoes back on
