Welcome Good afternoon and welcome to Colston Avenue. We are delighted to welcome Sam Denly and his Hythe Town team, as well as their officials and fans, to Colston Avenue this afternoon for this Bostik League South fixture. If you haven t heard the news yet, we bade a sad farewell to our flying winger Mickel Miller who has joined Scottish Premiership side Hamilton Academicals for an undisclosed fee. Mickel made over 100 appearances for the Robins and scored over 50 goals; 23 of which came this season. Mickel goes with all our best wishes. Our two previous fixtures could not have been more different. We were on top for most of the East Grinstead fixture and ran out comfortable 5-1 winners, whereas the following Saturday we were happy to leave Phoenix Sports with a point after 90 mins against a combative & physical side in poor conditions. We have installed stadium-wide WiFi, so please feel free to use it. If you navigate to cafc.club you will see our match-day information menu including links to this programme, videos, live-scores and other useful stuff. Please enjoy our hospitality, our match-day kitchens are full of culinary delights and we offer a wide range of beers, real ales and soft drinks in the match-day clubhouse. Finally, can I wish both teams the best of luck and look forward to a great game. Chris Blanchard - Club Secretary

The Gaffers Recent Clashes Team Information Carshalton Athletic Hythe Town Peter Adeniyi Sam Denly Our meeting earlier this season was one to remember for Robins fans we ran out 4-0 winners, debutant Omar Koroma scoring all four in an impressive display at a ground we had never won at previously. Last season we drew 2-2 at Reachfields with Bobby Price and Kingsley Aikhionbare scoring. Earlier last season Hythe won 3-0 at Colston Avenue with goals from Sam Adams (2) and Liam King. Key players For the Canons Ryan Johnson is an experienced, versatile player who can play either in midfield or defence. In our meeting in November everyone was impressed with his leadership qualities with the skippers arm band and never say die approach to the game. For the Robins vice-captain Bobby Price is regaining his fitness after a minor injury. Price is an attacking wing back with goals and assists in his locker

The Robins - A Proud History

Hythe Town History The original club was established in August 1910 joining the Folkestone & District League. They won the title four times after World War I. In 1936 the club moved to the Kent County Amateur League, joining Division Two of the Eastern Section. They won the division at the first attempt. They won the division again the following season, and were promoted to Division One. Following World War II the club was placed in the South Division for the 1946 47 and 1947 48 seasons, before league reorganisation in 1948 saw them return to Division One of the Eastern Section. Division One was later renamed the Premier Division and Hythe were relegated to Division One. However, after winning the Division One title in 1971 72 they went on to win three consecutive Premier Division titles between 1973 74 and 1975 76, the club moved up to the Kent League for 1977-78. After winning the league title in 1988 89, they were promoted to the Southern Division of the Southern League. The following year the club reached the semifinals of the FA Vase, losing 4 3 to Yeading. After three seasons in the Southern League, they folded in 1992. Supporters subsequently formed a successor club, Hythe United, which joined Division One East of the Kent County League for the 1992 93 season. Despite only finishing sixth in their first season, the club was promoted to the Premier Division. After 1994 95 season, they rejoined the Kent League. In 2001 their name changed to Hythe Town. In 2010 11 they were Kent League champions, earning promotion to Division One South of the Isthmian League. The 2011 12 Hythe reached the first round of the FA Cup, losing 5 1 at Hereford United. Hythe reached the play-offs in 2012-13 and 2015-16 losing in the semi-finals on both occasions.
