True North Sailing British Virgin Island Vacation Brochure 2018

Welcome Aboard! Hello Adventure Seekers, A sailing vacation in the beautiful British Virgin Islands (or The B.V.I. as we call them) is in my mind an adventure that no doubt should be on everyone s Bucket List as there is no other place on earth quite like the B.V.I. and in my opinion, the best possible way to experience these Jewels of the Caribbean is by sailing through the crystal clear, azure waters from one breathtaking anchorage to the next aboard a fleet of sleek sailing yachts. As the founders and Directors of the Award Winning True North Sailing School, my wife Jean and I have been organizing sailing vacations in the Caribbean annually since 1990 and we are very happy, honored and truly appreciate the fact that you are considering joining us on our 29 th annual flotilla in 2018. Over the years I have been asked by many people to describe to them just what a sailing vacation in the B.V.I. is all about and although I have tried my best on numerous occasions to do so, I have found it virtually impossible to put into words what sailing through these islands is truly like. It seems no matter what I tell people, once they experience it for themselves they always tell me that there is just no way to fully describe in words the experience that they had in paradise! That being said, I will try my best with the help of pictures and descriptions to give you a Feel for what a week of sailing in the B.V.I. is about but I admit that no matter what I tell you, I will not be able to do the experience justice. you ll just have to take my word for it and come down and experience it for yourself! In the following slides I ll give you information about the yachts and the destinations that we will visit which I hope will help you to gain a sense of what the experience is like. If you have any further questions after reviewing the information, please feel free to call or email me and I will be happy to answer any questions that you may have. We hope you will be sailing with us in The Caribbean in 2018. Sincerely, Rick Van Loon Director True North Sailing (908) 489 0589 info@sailtruenorth.com

TESTIMONIALS 2017 From Crew Member Mike (First Trip with True North) - Just wanted to take a moment to thank you for putting together a fantastic BVI trip. It was way beyond my expectations. The crew was very knowledgeable and a hilarious group. Every stop was different and uniquely enjoyable. Particularly liked Virgin Gorda, The Bitter End Yacht Club and Anegada. Greatest Super bowl party of all time on Norman Island. Already looking forward to next year and Julia definitely wants to join us. Thank you so much again. From Skipper Michael (First Trip with True North) On behalf of my crew and I, thank you for including us in your flotilla. The trip was first class all the way, from the locations, to the food, to the parties. Personally, I had the time of my life and gained invaluable big boat experience. Thanks again! From Crew Member Gary (First Trip with True North) - Just wanted to say thanks again for the trip of a lifetime! So much fun was had. I feel like I'm a much better sailor too! From Crew Member Kathleen (First Trip with True North) Thank you again for an INCREDIBLE experience in the BVIs! I haven't stopped talking about it since we got back. From Crew Member Beth (First Trip with True North) George and I have spoken every day since we've come back about what a wonderful time we had in the BVI. The sailing was fabulous, and the crew who were with us were just wonderful. We loved every minute. You both arranged everything so amazingly well, and I can only imagine the logistics of planning and setting up the boats, arranging the shore excursions, etc. Absolutely terrific and just first class. We loved the whole "co-op" concept as well. Maybe it's just because our team worked so well together, with everyone just so nice and so helpful - everyone wanted to pitch in - but It was simply lovely. And George loved the opportunity to be so involved with sailing. Rick, let me say now that he'll be back this summer for further certification. From Crew Member JJ (First Trip with True North) Oh man.i am still coming down off of my BVI high. At least NYC is starting to warm up. YAY! I just wanted to drop a line to let you know what an amazing time I had.on board with such an amazing crew.and the opportunity to learn about sailing. Matt was a pretty amazing Captain and seriously made sure everyone had their hand at helping, pulling out the jib, the main, steering and I even learned a few knots! I was dubbed the nick name Ig-knotz on the trip! From Crew Member Miami Dave (A 6 Trip Veteran) - Hey Rick and Jean Great sailing trip as always. I just wanted to send this e-mail about our Skipper Andy. Rarely do I use the word outstanding but it fits him to the proverbial T! Our boat had a very interesting social mix and Andy (The Anchorman as we named him) dealt with the group and individual psychology adroitly. He has a natural feel for the mechanics of sailing and made sure that everyone had a chance to learn what they wanted to. He has a great sense of humor and we had a blast together laugh-wise plus from a sailing standpoint he never lost patience with us despite the fact that some of us were a bit rusty! Bottom line - don t lose this guy as a skipper! Thanks again for a great experience in paradise..miami Dave
