Notes (1999) Emmerson Houghton, Kelsey Snelgar, Malia Josephson, Libby Gault, Gabrielle Milicich, Antonia Young are all in the Born 1998 World Youth Squad. Questions you may have.. What happens if you are selected in a different age group squad? If you are selected in a older squad, for example, a 2002 in a 2001 regional training group, you will continue with that group until your National Team squad is announced. You will then join the squad which participates first at a World Championships. For example, a 2002 selected into the Regional Training squads for 2001 will train with the 2001 squad until the 2002 squads are selected. They will they train with the 2002 squad as their World Championships are in 2020, with the 2001 World Championships being in 2021. However, if a 2002 born girl is selected in the 2000 born squad, then they will remain in the 2000 squad as the World Championships are in 2018. What does it mean if I am in an RTC squad and not selected to trial for the NZ Squad? It means that we see you have future potential to be a part of our program. This way you have the opportunity to work with our coaches on a regular basis. What happens if I am invited to trial in the NZ squad but don t make the final 2017 Squad? You will still be eligible for the RTC squad sessions that will be released as the same time. I am from a small region where do I get RTC training? We are working hard with the regions to try and establish these sessions nationwide. We now have them up and running in Auckland, Wellington and /Bay of Plenty.
