Franchise Hall of Fame Nomination Form You are invited to nominate those you believe are worthy of induction into the Franchise Hall of Fame. Inductees into the Franchise Hall of Fame will provide current and future Franchise Systems with inspiration to strive for the highest standards and values in franchising. FCA Hall of Fame Members Induction Criteria 1. Requirement An inductee must be a franchisor or franchisee or individual who has contributed significantly to the advancement of franchising and the Australian franchising community. Such contribution will have been made through developing successful franchising programs and innovative activities benefiting franchising. Representing the very best that the franchising community can offer. 2. Eligibility Any person who is, has been, or, has held a senior management position, such as a founder, a CEO or any other person in the franchise community, who has contributed and played a significant role as: (a) a franchisor (b) a franchisee (c) an academic, advisor or service provider 3. Evaluation criteria 1. Candidates should have a proven and established record of accomplishment and achievement in franchising. 2. Have a good reputation and enjoy the respect of other franchisors and franchisees. 3. Have contributed significantly to the advancement of franchising and to the franchising community. 4. Have built, or significantly contributed, to an organisation that has grown through successful and innovative franchising programs. 5. Be a pioneer / legend in the industry and recognised for a lifetime of achievement in franchising. 6. Have been involved in franchising within Australia for more than 15 years. 7. Have given service within FCA Committees, Board of Directors, or State Chapters. 8. A candidate may be retired or deceased. 1
4. Nomination and selection process for induction into the Hall of Fame 1. The first step of the nomination process is to be conducted by the FCA office who will put out a call for nominations to FCA members each year. 2. Self-nominations will be accepted provided they meet the evaluation criteria as set out above. 3. The nominee must consent to the nomination for potential induction into the FCA Hall of Fame (this requirement does not apply where the candidate is deceased). 4. Each nomination must be completed on the prescribed application form and outline the candidate s contribution to franchising in Australia in accordance with the guidelines, and must include 2 supporting statements from persons experienced in franchising. 5. Nominees must agree to the Hall of Fame Award Selection Panel interviewing the nominee, their colleagues, franchisees or any other person to verify compliance with the guidelines if required. 6. Nominations to be made in the manner and format prescribed on the application form, and must be received by the FCA National Office no later than the due date found on page 3 of this form. 7. No correspondence or explanations for acceptance or rejection will be entered into by the Hall of Fame Selection Panel or any FCA personnel. 8. Annual nominations will be received by FCA National Office by email or post by the deadline set out on page 3. The FCA National Office will forward the nominations to the Hall of Fame governing committee by the second week of July each year. The Committee will carefully examine the credentials of each of these submissions and reduce the potential number of inductees to a maximum of 2. These nominee/s will be interviewed by the Hall of Fame Award Selection Panel and their recommendations will be put to the Hall of Fame Governing Committee s August meeting each year, to select a deserving nomination/s for that year. 9. The Hall of Fame governing committee may decide from time to time not to nominate any inductee for admittance to the Franchise Hall of Fame. 10. The annual Hall of Fame inductee will be recognised at the FCA Excellence in Franchising Awards Gala Ball to be held at the culmination for the National Franchise Convention. 2
