Welcome to the Miss AmeriQueen Pageant convention! READ FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS What a GREAT weekend it is for a fun filled experience! Here is a step by step Guide to get you registered and ready! Please READ this over to any person in your group. Failure to adhere to the simple guidelines can mean disqualification. 1) Fill out the FINAL INFO/EMCEE form and hand back at Registration FIRST. OR FILL OUT AND BRING WITH. 2) You cannot approach the stage for practice until you complete this step. Once you have handed in the form, change into the official AmeriQueen Logo tshirt (PURCHASE FOR $25), then proceed for stage practice. 3) EVERY person BUT the contestant must have an event badge/band to enter the ballroom. Show at all times. No sharing. 4) NO phone or camera usage inside the ballroom UNLESS you choose the $100/VIP Press Pass Option. You may then photograph OR videotape your contestant, and ONLY your contestant, when they are on stage. IF you choose this option, it is ALSO your door badge. You do not buy both. ***CAMERAS ALLOWED DURING THE YOU GLO GIRL PARTY ONLY*** IF you are using your camera on your phone, you MUST silence your phone. 5) There will be a place designated next to photographer to stand for VIP press pass. As it is time for contestant to go on stage, you simply get in line. Do NOT stand on the photographers riser at any time. 6) We have the right to refuse entry into the ballroom of any person. IF there is any negative behavior on the part of the Contestant, Queen, or member of your party, you can or may be disqualified and asked to leave without refund. 7) Do NOT approach the judges at any time or any place before, during, or after the event. The decision of the judges per their scoring of each girl for each event will be final. 8) Do NOT Walk in front of the judges table at any time. 9) Always wear your competition # on the right side or right hip. Parents of small children can wear the number on your upper body. 10) IF you eat or drink anything in the ballroom, you are expected to clean up after yourselves. Do not put trash under your seat and leave it.
11) IF you have small children/babies with you and they get fussy, please step out of the ballroom immediately as to not distract contestants on stage. 12) DREAM TEAM participants will have a chance to try your CD music. You also ARE to have your own Emcee card that is ready by someone IN your party. Do not ask QUEENS to read. You have 90 Seconds on stage that will start when Your music starts, much like talent. As the pageant is smaller, IF the Dream Team winners ARE winning their division titles, the Dream Team shall be determined by the 2 TOP scoring contestants after AmeriQueen titles are tabulated 13) IF you have not already gotten your GLOW products, go to the Dollar Tree or Walmart and get a few items to have FUN. NO need to dress up just have FUN/take photos! Post! 14) DO NOT JUMP OFF OR ON THE STAGE Parents going on stage with 1-3yrs olds MUST be right by the side of the child or hold the childs hand. Do not let the child go near the edge of the stage. 15) Do not approach the podium at any time while the event is going on or at crowning. 16) Gossip or negativity of any kind is NOT going to occur. Remember, people sitting around you do NOT want to hear any negativity about another person, what they wear, or what they do on stage. Do NOT do it. Rather, clap and cheer for everyone and show your good sportsmanship at all times. 17) AFTER the event, the Queens crowned MUST stay for a short briefing. As soon as we close out the pageant, get ready for photos on stage, and backdrop. Keep all prizes/trophies with you for photos. Parents/Queens must be present for the meeting about your reign, your obligations, the cruise info, etc. 18) Be in the ballroom AT the time shown on the schedule. We will flow from one age group to the next. If you miss your time in lineup and are late, there can be a 1 point deduction per judge. 19) YAMI WILL RESUME IN TEXAS NEXT YEAR WITH SABRINA AS YOUR NEW DIRECTOR!!! 20) For THIS year for Miss AmeriQueen, there will not be a Top 5 secret question. Some groups may be small, some groups only have 6 and we do not want to leave any one girl out. The scores from your formalwear will prevail! 21) Each contestant gets 45 seconds on stage. Take your time Listen as the Emcee reads your information. When you hear us say THANK YOU contestant #... that is when you know your time is up Work hard to not rush. DREAM TEAM: 90 SEC TIME LIMIT 22) MAKEUP: Less is more, even with women. A nice light and polished look is what to remember. Any heavy makeup on any person can mean a point deduction per judge.
