You are taking part in one of the most exciting draft legal events in the USA! Nine races. All draft legal. Bringing together some of the best talent across the country. We are thrilled to offer TWO F1 racing opportunities on race weekend. Our teams are working hard with the final preparations to ensure a safe and fun race. PRE-RACE LOGISTICS MANDATORY MEETING Important draft legal rules will be in effect for this event. All athletes will attend a pre-race meeting on Sunday, March 4 th at 7:45 am on the beach. You are welcome to come to the venue on Friday to see the venue and warm up on the course. The course will not be set up and marked until Friday at 3:00 pm. Note: you will be required to pay the $5 per car fee to enter the park. Also, there are no lifeguards on duty. You are swimming and riding on the course at your own risk. We also highly encourage you to come watch the race on Saturday as well. See the race timeline on our website. RACE NUMBERS The following items will help identify you during the race: Bike Frame Number must be attached so the number is visible from both sides of your bike. Helmet Number must be attached to the front of the your bike helmet. The Timing Chip must be worn on one of your ankles during the entire event. Body Tattoo you will receive two body tattoos to identify yourself during the race(s). Each tattoo should go on your arm.
WARM UP RACE DAY 1 - SATURDAY RACE DAY TIMELINE AND PARKING DAY ONE MARCH 3, 2018 12:30 PM You MUST be in Lake Louisa State before your assigned 10 minute parking queue of 12:20-12:30 PM. This is imperative. At 12:20 12:30 PM your car will be escorted to the event parking lot. Plan to arrive before the 10-minute window. NOTE: bring $5 per car (cash) for the parking fee to get in the park. 1:15 PM Transition Area open to rack bikes (only at this time no earlier) 1:45 PM Transition Area Closes head to the swim start 2:00 PM Race Starts F1 GIRLS - DAY 2 - SUNDAY DAY TWO MARCH 4, 2018 7:00 AM You MUST be at the venue and parked at this time. NO EXCEPTIONS. 7:00 AM Transition Area open to rack bikes (only at this time no earlier) 7:40 AM Transition Area Closes head to the swim start and the pre-race meeting 8:00 AM Race Starts F1 BOYS DAY 2 - SUNDAY 7:30 AM You MUST be at the venue and parked at this time. NO EXCEPTIONS. The pre-race meeting starts at 7:45 AM at the beach. 8:15 AM Transition Area open to rack bikes (only at this time no earlier) 8:50 AM Transition Area Closes head to the swim start 9:00 AM Race Starts
COURSE INFORMATION SATURDAYS COURSE 375 meter swim / 5k bike (ONE LOOP) / 2.5k run (ONE LOOP) The entire race course is closed to traffic. The 375 meter swim takes place from an in the water start in a clear lake with average temperature ranging in the high 60's-low 70 s F. Please plan to bring a wetsuit. Following the swim, the race will take athletes on a ONE loop bike course on a well paved and fast road. After completing the 5k bike course, athletes will complete ONE loops of the run course. SUNDAYS COURSE 375 meter swim / 10k bike (TWO LOOPS) / 2.5k run (ONE LOOP) The entire race course is closed to traffic. OTHER INFORMATION Remember to Bring your ID Remember to bring your ID to packet pick up. No ID = no race packet. No exceptions. Bring Sunscreen. Athletes and spectators should be prepared that there is little shelter from the sun (or weather). Bring sunscreen, hats, etc. Post Race Food. Athletes will have access to free food and beverage following the race. The food will include fruit, granola bars, etc If you need other food or drinks please bring it with you. Spectators. Make sure you tell your family and friends they MUST be in the park and parked by the assigned parking 10 minute parking queues (see the parking tab on our website).
