Listed below are several important reminders and updates to keep in mind as we go into fair-time. Also, on the pages following this letter are the patterns for this year s Junior Fair Horse Show. Topics / Updates from August 8, 07 Horse Youth, Parents, and Advisors Pre-Fair Informational Meeting ) Update on Stall Assignments we plan to post them on Tuesday September 5 th in the barns. Thank you to Beth Harper Shisler and Sarah Rusmisel for their work on preparing the stall assignments. We were able to assign every youth that requested a stall at least one stall. Drawing for nd Stalls please accept my sincere apologies for having misread the report at our meeting on August 8 th when we started to draw names for those who would get a nd stall. I went back through the entries database and added in the additional individuals who had entered both a horse and a pony (two equine animals) to the list of individuals that had entered two horses. We re-did the drawing and the results are listed below. The list below is the order in which nd stalls will be assigned to individuals. Currently the first individuals listed below and highlighted green have been assigned a nd stall. Don t forget about tack inspection prior to Contest Classes on Sunday from 8:30 am to 0 am. If you have questions about tack or bits please contact the stewards prior to fair to ensure you have time to find a replacement if something is not acceptable. 3) Show Schedule Updates and Reminders: Opening Ceremonies will begin at pm on Saturday and will include the national anthem, Pat Kanehl Memorial Scholarship presentation, Fun Show Awards, and Horse Youth of the Year Awards. The Arena will be closed for one hour Monday evening to allow for those who want to practice for Driving class that will be held on Tuesday and closed again for one hour Tuesday evening for those who want to practice for Jumping classes that will be held on Wednesday. A parent or advisor must be present if you re practicing in the arena during these times. Costume Class will begin a ½ hour following Senior Moving Dummy Breakaway Roping on Monday. No Pre- Entry Required.

4) 4-H Code of Conduct reminders no foul language, no smoking, drinking, or being disrespectful to show officials. 5) Proper attire at fair school and show appropriate attire at all times, for your safety no flip flops while leading or riding a horse or while in a horse stall. 6) All patterns will be posted the night before each show in or near the bulletin boards in each barn, a limited number of copies will be available in the entry booth this year. Members are encouraged to download the patterns and Dressage Tests at http://go.osu.edu/wcfair07patterns. (Please note if typing this link into a web browser use all lowercase letters) 7) Show books will be available to be picked up from the entry booth beginning Saturday afternoon at pm - be sure to pick yours up. 8) We are asking that all clubs work hard to keep the barn aisles clean and free of clutter throughout the fair. Please keep tack boxes closed when not in use. Please limit meal-time in the barns to am pm. Please clean up and put food away by pm each day to keep the barns looking nice.
