SHOWING RING 1 Starts 9.00am Classes 15 & 16 are Training classes with The Showing Register. Classes are open to everyone (members and non-members of TSR) and the judge/trainer will give feedback to the exhibitor during the class. Each class will be run on the following format: Enter the ring and go round as a class, line up in any order. Trainer/judge will watch and give feed back on individual shows, presentation, in hand technique etc. See Show Information at end of schedule for full details. Riders/handlers must be amateurs. Class 18 Class 19 Class 20 Class 21 Amateur Rider - Cobs & Maxi Cobs (ST, TSR & C&T) Class will include all horses being seen at walk, trot and canter, and each rider will have up to 2 minutes to give a freestyle show. Judging will be on paces, conformation, action, manners, way of going, condition and neatness of presentation. Open ridden mare or gelding, 4 years old and over. Rider any age. Cobs not exceeding 155cms. Maxi cobs 155cms and over. Stallions are not allowed. Amateur Rider - Coloureds (ST, TSR & C&T) Class will include all horses being seen at walk, trot and canter, and each rider will have up to 2 minutes to give a freestyle show. Judging will be on paces, conformation, action, manners, way of going, condition and neatness of presentation. Any height/type of piebald, skewbald, palomino, dun, spotted and odd coloured, 4 years old and over, rider any age. Stallions are not allowed. Amateur Rider Ridden Show Pony (ST, TSR & C&T) Class will include all horses being seen at walk, trot and canter, and each rider will have up to 2 minutes to give a freestyle show. Judging will be on paces, conformation, action, manners, way of going, condition and neatness of presentation. Any type of show pony not exceeding 148cms, rider any age. Stallions are not allowed. Amateur Rider M&M (ST, TSR & C&T) Class will include all horses being seen at walk, trot and canter, and each rider will have up to 2 minutes to give a freestyle show. Great Bookham Show 22 April 2018 Coloured Horse & Pony Society (CHAPS) This show is affiliated to The Coloured Horse & Pony Society (UK). Affiliation no. 18195 Both owner and the rider/exhibitor need not be a member of CHAPS (UK) nor must the horse or pony be registered with CHAPS (UK) to compete. However in order to qualify both owner and rider/exhibitor need to be a current showing member and present their valid qualifiers card IN THE RING for signing by the judge. Members to apply in writing to CHAPS (UK) for appropriate qualifier card. The CHAPS (UK) Championship Show will be held on 30th August - 1st September 2018. Shows held on or after the Postal Entry closing date of Championship Show will count as 2019 qualifiers. The following classes are CHAPS (UK) qualifiers: Classes 8, 9, 10, 12, 13, 14, 22, 30, 33, 36, 37, 38 & 40. RULES AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY By entering any event at GBEC, participants are deemed to have agreed to abide by these rules: 1. The organisers of these events have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the organisers / instructors. 2. Participants, or their parents/guardians, must consider themselves competent to complete the activity for which they are entering. If the judge deems any rider or horse to be unsuitable/unsafe to participate they will be asked to leave immediately and no refund will be given. 3. All persons under the age of 16 years must be accompanied and supervised by a parent/guardian. 4. Stallions are welcome provided they are displaying appropriate tail ribbons, are well behaved and not causing a nuisance or danger to other competitors or their horses. 8. Qualification for championships may be subject to further verification including supplying of documentation to prove age / name / competitive status of rider or horse and / or investigation into previous winnings / placings / membership / performance. 9. We reserve the right to cancel or alter any part or the whole of the schedule at any time. Details given in the schedule are correct at time of printing but may subsequently be altered. 10. The judge s decision is final. Any objections must be brought to the organiser s attention on the day of competition and we will make every effort to resolve problems.
