LOCATION Ideally located just off the A303, Wincanton Racecourse can be found ½ mile to the north of the town centre, on the B3081 Wincanton to Bruton road. SAT NAV: BA9 8BJ Large lorries are advised to avoid the narrow town centre roads in Wincanton and access the Racecourse from the north, exiting the A303 signed for Gillingham. Signs are clearly visible from the A303. STABLING Wincanton Racecourse has 94 stables for hire throughout the year for just 25 +VAT per night. We have warm water washing off facilities and ample of parking just outside the stables. We can also provide bedding of your choice (POA). SENIOR SHOWING and DRESSAGE The Olympia Anthony Evans SSADL Home Produced First Round Qualifiers only are open to both members and non members of SSADL. No Spurs, No Galloping, No Wearing of Face /Body Jewellery. Foals are NOT permitted in SSADL Classes. For In Hand Classes - Minimum age of handler = 9 yrs old STALLIONS- Either for In Hand or Ridden classes, Competitors must be 16 years of age or over. Competitors cannot enter the ring once the command of trot has been given. The same rider/handler/pony/horse combination must stay the same from first /second round qualifiers and grand final. ALL COMPETITORS SHOULD AQUAINT THEMSELVES WITH SSADL RULES BEFORE ENTERING. SSADL Rulebook can be found at www.seniorshowinganddressage.co.uk 1st to 3rd in each class will receive a 10 voucher kindly sponsored by Anthony Evans Insurance SSADL qualification cards & keepsake prize cards 1st to 6th will be handed out in the ring at the time of presentation. Competitors only need one qualification card per section per season in hand and/or ridden If already qualified this card must be handed down the line. Qualifying Classes: 52, 53, 54, 55, 56, 57 NEXT STAGE OLYMPIA 2ND ROUND QUALFIERS You can only compete in the Olympia Anthony Evans SSADL Second Round Qualifiers, if you are a 2016 member and your animal is registered with SSAD Ltd and hold the 2016 membership/registration card. Once you have qualified at a First Round Qualifier and you have received an Acceptance card, only then may you compete in the Olympia Anthony Evans Second Round Qualifiers. The Second Round Champions will go on to compete at the Olympia Anthony Evans SSADL Home Produced Supreme Final at the London International Horse Show in December 2016. Once a competitor has qualified for the Olympia Grand Final they may continue to compete at any 2nd Round Qualifiers, but they will NOT be eligible to enter the Olympia Qualifying Championships. In this instance the second placed competitor will be eligible for this championship. Once a competitor has qualified for Olympia in the Ridden section they are NOT allowed to qualify in the In Hand section and vice versa. SOUTH WEST PONY ASSOCIATION CHAMPIONSHIPS QUALIFYING RULES This show is a qualifier for the South West Pony Association Championships to be held in September 2018 at The David Broome Event Centre, Crick, Gwent. To qualify for the Championships: 1. Enter one of the qualifying classes 2. Be one of the two highest placed exhibits not already qualified within the first four and receive a qualification card signed in the ring. 3. Complete the entry form on the qualification card. 4. Return the card to together with any registration fees due within 14 days of this show. Qualifying Classes 32, 34, 36, 41, 42, 45, 46, 47, 48, 49, 52, 53, 54, 55, 56, 57, 63, 64, 65, 66, 67, 68, 71, 72 NB: Registration fee for 2018 is 25 to include all members of the family and equines owned by the family. TSR Showing Finals - This show is a qualifier for the 2018 TSR Showing Finals. Qualify and enter ANY of the Finals: Central, East Anglia, North West, North East, South East, South, Wales & South West or Scottish. You do not have to be a TSR member to qualify or enter a final. The Rider/Handler qualifies and can enter any horse/pony in any number of Finals! TSR Riders Finals - 1st & 2nd riders qualify and will receive a qualification card in the ring. TSR In Hand Finals - The two highest placed Handlers with a TSR In Hand Card will qualify in any In Hand class. Handlers MUST have their cards signed in the ring by the judge/steward; cards are available FREE from the TSR website. BSHA Grass Roots Champs With a TSR qualification card you can also enter the BSHA Grass Roots Champs in September at Addington Equestrian Centre - You do not have to be a BSHA member to qualify or enter the final. RoR (Retraining of Racehorses) RoR AMATEUR Ridden Show Series Class 39 (formerly RoR TARRA Show Series) 1 st, 2 nd and 3 rd to qualify for the final at RoR National Show at Aintree in August 2018, shows after 31st July 2018 to qualify for the final in 2019. RoR AMATEUR Ridden classes are amateur produced and ridden only. The judge in this class will not ride horses. Amateur definition: An amateur is a person who for the purpose of RoR classes does not/has not during the current season or previous season: * Engage(d) in breeding, livery, buying or selling, dealing or hiring horses (for the show ring) in a commercial capacity. * Horses must not have been stabled at or reside in a Professional Producer's/Trainer's yard (in the current season or previous season). * Riders must not have ridden any animals produced by a Professional/Trainer in the current or previous season. * Horses and riders must not have received any help from a Professional Producer/Trainer at a SHOW in the current or previous season. * A rider who has ridden for a Professional/Producer Trainer in the current or previous season must not have ridden horses at a show. Any breaches of this ruling will be taken seriously and will result in disqualification from future classes. RoR Open In-Hand Show Series Class 40 (formerly RoR TARRA In-hand Show Series ) 1 st, 2 nd and 3 rd to qualify for the final at RoR National Show at Aintree in August 2018, shows after 31st July 2018 to qualify for the final in 2019. The judge in this class will not ride horses. CHAPS This show is affiliated to The Coloured Horse & Pony Society (UK). Affiliation No. 18106 Both owner and the rider/exhibitor need not be a member of CHAPS (UK) nor must the horse or pony be registered with CHAPS (UK) to compete. However in order to Qualify both Owner and Rider/Exhibitor need to be a current showing member and present their valid Qualifier card IN THE RING for signing by the judge. Members to apply in writing to CHAPS (UK) for appropriate qualifier card. The CHAPS (UK) Championship Show will be held on 30th August-1st September 2018. Shows held on or after the Postal Entry closing date of Championship Show will count as 2019 qualifiers. The following classes are CHAPS (UK) Qualifiers: 2, 52, 53, 54, 55, 56, 57, 58, 59, 60, 61 and 62. For full rulings and information on competition/qualification, please refer to the CHAPS (UK) Members' Handbook; or visit www.chapsuk.com for rulings. Only Skewbalds / Piebalds may compete in these classes. All stallions, 4 years old and over entering these classes must be graded with CHAPS (UK). All stallions must wear Stallion ID Discs in the ring without exception. IRISH DRAUGHT HORSE SOCIETY (GB) The following classes (13 19, 21 30, 67 and 68) are affiliated to the Irish Draught Horse Society (GB) and only horses registered with or over-stamped by the IDHS (GB) and in the correct ownership are eligible for entry. Owners of all Pure-bred Irish Draught horses in both In-Hand and Ridden classes must be full members of the IDHS (GB). This rule does not apply to owners of Irish Draught Sport Horses. Registration numbers to be stated on the entry form and entries will be sent to the IDHS (GB) prior to the Show to confirm eligibility. *All competing STALLIONS must be inspected or over-stamped by the IDHS (GB) and classified as RID (GB), ID Class 1 or ID Class 2 OR Registered Irish Draught Sport Horse Stallion, and must display a red, white and blue ribbon in their tails. *All riders of STALLIONS must be 18 years of age or over. All ridden horses must be 153cm (15hh) or over. 5

RIHS Levy): 30.00 (Late Entry 40.00) Prize Money Classes 2 to 8: 25, 12, 8 ROYAL INTERNATIONAL HORSE SHOW QUALIFYING CLASSES All Hunter Classes will be judged under the Society s Rules. Classes 1, 3 to 8 and 72 are qualifying events for the 2019 RIHS and only horses registered on the Show Hunter Register are eligible to enter. Registration numbers must be quoted on entry forms and owners and riders must be members of the Society. The two highest placed horses in each class will qualify to enter at the RIHS. In the Working Hunter Class (72) the three highest placed horses will qualify. Day Ticket = 35 (this entitles competitors to compete at a maximum of 2 show s in the year it covers owner and rider membership together with horse registration for that show). If the class is a qualifying class for RIHS, in order for the qualification to be valid, application for full owner/rider membership and horse registration must be received in the SHB(GB) office within 14 days. Classes 3 to 6 are qualifiers for the Blue Chip & IDHS (GB) 2,000 Challenge 2018 (See IDHSGB Rule 3 Page 29) JUDGE: Mrs Alycia Pritchard, Bristol (Ride & Conformation) CLASS 1 NOVICE HUNTER Mare or gelding four years old and over, not having won a first prize of 60 or a total of 200 (or equivalent values) in prize money in any SHB(GB) affiliated Ridden Hunter Classes at home or abroad, before 1st January in the current year, excepting all prize money awarded as a four year old. This does not apply to Novice Working Hunter Classes. Any horse that qualifies for Horse of the Year Show in a Ridden Hunter Class (not including Working Hunter Classes) will not be eligible to compete in Novice classes from 1st January the following year, but horses that qualified for HOYS as a 4 year old are exempt. CLASS 2 CLASS 3 LADIES HUNTER Mare or gelding four years old or over, to be ridden by a lady side-saddle. SMALL HUNTER Mare or gelding, 4 years old or over; exceeding 148 cm (14.2hh approx) but not exceeding 158 cm (15.2hh approx). JUDGES: Mr Robin Sharp, Wiltshire (Ride) and Mr Derek Walker, Llangollen (Conformation) CLASS 4 CLASS 5 CLASS 6 LIGHTWEIGHT HUNTER Mare or gelding, 4 years old or over, capable of carrying up to 79.5kgs (12 stone 7lbs). MIDDLEWEIGHT HUNTER Mare or gelding, 4 years old or over, capable of carrying 79.5kgs (12stone 7lbs) and not exceeding 89kgs (14 stone). HEAVYWEIGHT HUNTER Mare or gelding, 4 years old or over, capable of carrying over 89kgs (14 stone). RIHS RIDDEN HUNTER CHAMPIONSHIP for 1st & 2nd placed horses from Classes 4, 5 & 6 6

To be ridden and owned by an amateur. RIHS AMATEUR HEAVYWEIGHT HUNTER, MARE OR GELDING, four years old and over, capable of carrying over 79.5kgs (12 stone 7lbs). Middleweight Hunters to be included in this category. To be ridden and owned by an amateur. WESTBURY FOODS RING Not before 1.00pm BSHA CLASSES Held under the rules of the British Show Horse Association. Owners, Riders & Horses must be registered or have temporary membership with a Day Ticket. Horses registered with the Association must be Owned, Exhibited and Ridden by current BSHA Members. Riders must be 15 years of age or older. Registration numbers must be quoted on entry form. DAY TICKETS Non-Members may purchase up to a maximum of 2 Day Tickets per Exhibitor, per Horse, per Rider, per season. A Day Ticket will allow entry into Amateur, Home Produced, In-Hand, Novice, Working, Young Rider and Open Affiliated classes only, but will NOT allow entry into RIHS or HOYS qualifying classes. Horses registered on a Day Ticket do not require a JMB height certificate. Competitors can apply for a Day Ticket by downloading an application form, or apply online on the BSHA website. Horses competing in the Sport Horse Breeding of Great Britain classes at their Affiliated Shows cannot compete in Hack, Cobs and Riding Horse classes at the same show, on the same day and vice versa. This does not apply to SHB (GB) Ridden Sport Horse classes. The three highest placed prize winners in each Open Affiliated class will qualify to compete in the BSHA Classic Supreme classes at the National Championship Show September 2018. The BSHA offer a Novice, Young Rider and Amateur rosette in each Open class and a Champion rosette for each section (with the exception of Open Working Show Horse, Ladies Show Horse & HOYS Hunter classes). The Association will also award an Amateur Home Produced rosette in all Affiliated Open Cob (Light & Heavyweights only) classes. These rosettes have been kindly sponsored by TSG, Mr L Turley. The awards will go down the line; there is no limit on how many of these rosettes can be claimed in a year. Class 70 is a qualifying event for the 2019 RIHS and only horses registered on the Show Hunter Register are eligible to enter. Registration numbers must be quoted on entry forms and owners and riders must be members of the Society. In the Open Working Hunter Class, the three highest placed horses will qualify. Day Ticket = 35 (this entitles competitors to compete at a maximum of 2 show s in the year it covers owner and rider membership together with horse registration for that show). If the class is a qualifying class for RIHS, in order for the qualification to be valid, application for full owner/rider membership and horse registration must be received in the SHB(GB) office within 14 days. CLASS 69 SHB(GB) NOVICE WORKING HUNTER Entry Fee: 15.00 (Late 18.00) Mare, gelding or stallion (competing stallions must have a red, white and blue ribbon displayed in their tail) four years old and over not to have won a total of 100, excluding championship prize money, (or equivalent values) in prize money in any SHB (GB) affiliated Working Hunter Class, or more than 5 BE points or 200 BS points, at home or equivalent abroad before 1st January in the relevant year. Fences in Novice Working Hunter classes should have a minimum height of 0.85m (2 9 ) and a maximum height of 1.00m (3 3 ). Working Hunters may compete Hors Concours in Novice Working Hunter classes in the jumping phase only at the discretion of the show secretary but the horse cannot compete in any other Working Hunter classes for the duration of that show. CLASS 70 RIHS OPEN WORKING HUNTER Entry Fee: 30.00 incl RIHS Levy (Late 40.00) Prize Money 25, 12, 8 Mare, gelding or stallion (competing stallions must have a red, white and blue ribbon displayed in their tail) four years old and over exceeding 148cm (14.2hh approx) to be judged in accordance with the rules herein set out. Grade A Show-jumpers and Advanced Event horses are not eligible to compete in these Classes. Any horse which has qualified as a Grade A Show Jumper or Advanced Event Horse as at 1st January in the current year is not eligible to compete in Working Hunter classes. The maximum total points available is 100. This is made up of: Jumping points = Max 40 points, Style & Presence whilst Jumping = max 20 points, Ride/Manners = max 20 points, Conformation = max 20 points. Fences to be a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 12 in number and a maximum height of 1.14m (3ft 9ins) at the discretion of the Judges. Fences should have a natural appearance and not be easily dislodged. No un-numbered obstacle can be included in the course. The manner of going to be taken into account. No change of rider or tack will be allowed (unless a horse is ridden under side-saddle, in which case, in order to allow the judge to ride, the saddle may be changed for the riding phase only). This class is a qualifier for The SEIB Working Show Horse of the Year Final to be held at the BSHA National Championship Show. The two highest placed horses in the top five, not already qualified, in each Open Working Show Horse class, will qualify for the Final; no Horse placed lower than fifth will qualify. Any Horse which is a Grade B Showjumper, Intermediate Eventer, or above, as at the 1st January of the current year, is not eligible to compete in any Working Show Horse class. A Rider may ride up to two Horses in the jumping phase but must then select one Horse to take through to the Ride and Conformation phases (if required). No change of Rider is allowed. Novice Working Show Horse. A Novice is a Show Horse that has not won a ridden first prize of 25 or more, or more than a total of 100 in any Working class, which were Affiliated to the Association at home or abroad, prior to 1st January in the current year. Winnings as a 4 year old are exempt unless that 4 year old has won an Open Working class of 25 or more. Snaffle bridles may be worn for Novice classes. WINCANTON HORSE SHOW RULES The decision of the Judges is final. The Organisers accept no liability for accidents to spectators, competitors, animals or their property in connection with or arising from this show. The Organisers of this Show have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the Organisers, Officials and Stewards Riders and Judges must wear protective headgear, correctly fastened, in all ridden classes. Hats that meet one of the following current Safety Standards. Hats should have a plain cover, and may be black, navy blue or grey. Velvet covers are encouraged. This show regulation takes precedence over other Society rules on headwear, and is for insurance purposes. Handlers in the in-hand classes must also wear protective headgear. The organisers of the Wincanton Horse Show, SW ID Show, and Dog Show reserve the right to ask competitors to remove horses/dogs from show rings and the show ground if considered a risk to the safety of other animals, competitors and spectators. The organisers reserve the right to rearrange times, split, amalgamate or cancel any class. There will be a surcharge for entries on the day. If entering SW ID Show ID/IDSH classes on the day of the show, passports must be shown to the Show Secretary to verify breeding and registration. If entering SHBGB / BSHA classes on the day, full registration details must be provided of horse, rider and owner, or a day ticket must be provided. There will be no refunds of entry fees after close of advance entries. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times. Classes 13-19 and 21-30 are affiliated to the Irish Draught Horse Society (GB) and only horses registered with or over-stamped by the IDHS(GB) and in the correct ownership are eligible for entry. Full details of rules are included in the relevant section of this schedule. Owners of all Pure-bred Irish Draught horses in both In-hand and Ridden classes must be full members of the IDHS(GB). This rule does not apply to owners of Irish Draught Sport Horses. All horses in Irish Draught classes (except Classes 20, 22 & 24) must be registered with the Society and in the correct ownership. 28

IDHS (GB) / SOUTH WEST IRISH DRAUGHT SHOW RULES RULE 1: This show is a Qualifier for the Moorbennhall Irish Draught Youngstock Challenge. The two highest placed Pure Breds from each age group that have not already qualified in Class 25 - yearlings, two year olds and three year olds - eligible for Class 1 on the Irish Draught Breed Register by an RID (GB), ID Class 1 or ID Class 2 sire out of a Graded* dam and also two and three year old fillies already Graded* will qualify to go forward to the Final which will be held at the IDHS (GB) Annual Breed Show on 18th and 19th August 2018 at Arena UK, Allington, Grantham, Lincolnshire. NG32 2EF. Each qualifier will receive a card. Qualifiers are required to complete an online form at www.idhsgb.com to inform the IDHS (GB) that they have qualified for the Final. In the Final, there will be three preliminary classes with the two highest placed semi-finalists from each class going forward to the Championship where the Champion will receive 500 and the Reserve Champion 150. RULE 2: This show is a Qualifier for the Blue Chip & Irish Draught Horse Society (GB) 2,000 Challenge. The highest placed horse (not already qualified) from each of the following Classes: 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 19 will qualify for the Final of the Blue Chip & IDHS (GB) 2,000 Challenge which will be held at the IDHS (GB) Annual Breed Show on 18th 19th August 2018 at Arena UK, Allington, Grantham, Lincolnshire.
