The PDL was designed to give players a more consistent level of play and coaching within the recreational division of the club PDL allows travel players to compete against clubs across the state A introduction to the competitive culture and mindset while still keeping an emphasis on fun Home teams allow players to take a natural step towards competitive soccer without the full commitment to a travel team
All players will be evaluated on the following criteria: Technical Abilities (dribble, pass, shoot) Tactical Awareness (decision-making) Athleticism (speed, fitness, agility) Psychology (attitude, coachability)
Day 1: Players play small-sided games (4v4) (no goalkeepers) Players play in front of impartial evaluators Player scores are tabulated and players are ranked in tiers
(cont.) Day 2: Players play 7 v 7 games with goalkeepers Players are grouped based on their ranking from day one Players are moved during games based on individual performance
Coaches Meet for Player Placement directly after the final evaluation (May 3 rd ) Contact players by phone that evening All player notifications will be made by May 9 th. One family s delay in decision-making affects everyone!
There will be no formal evaluation process for home teams. Home teams are based on desire; players will be selected for home teams after the registration process is complete. Home teams are formed by geographic location and school preference.
BYT Sessions will take place at the Complex: 2009 Boys & Girls 2010 Boys & Girls April 18 th & 25 th April 18 th & 25 th 4:30-5:45pm 6:00-7:15pm Both Travel & Home players are encouraged to attend!

Season : 16 games 8 in the Fall / 8 in the Spring 8 games home (Complex) and 8 away Away may be anywhere in Colorado Fall: Season begins weekend of August 26 th & 27 th Ends early to mid-november Spring: Season begins mid-march (games over Spring Break) Ends mid-may
Most HOME teams play in a minimum of one tournament during the season (Fall/Spring) Fall Fun & Choice City ALL Home teams are expected to enter Arsenal Cup (held in August) Costs for tournament entry is additional to player fees
