FC TUFFIELD TUFFY LATOUR KELETON COACH Event: keleton Age: 45 Hometown: aranac Lake, N.Y. High school: Linton High chool, chenectady, N.Y. College: Ashford University, Liberty University Career field: Engineer I m very excited to be coaching the U.. Olympic keleton team. As a member of the WCAP and the U.. Army, I m able to represent and serve my country at the highest level of sport. I joined WCAP for the first time in 1995 as an athlete, and I ve been in and out of WCAP since then. WCAP offers me the ability to coach great athletes and continue to be part of the team the U.. Army. WCAP is like coming home, in a sense, to me. Four-time Olympic coach FC Tuffield Tuffy Latour is back with Team UA after a stint with the Canadian national team. His relationship with the U.. Army World Class Athlete Program began as bobsled pilot who finished ninth at the 1995 World Championships. He coached the U.. women s bobsled team to silver medals at the World Championships in 2000 and 2001, and gold at the 2002 Olympic Winter Games in alt Lake City. He coached the U.. men to silver and bronze medals at the World Championships in 2003 and 04. He led Canada s women to gold and silver medals at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Whistler, British Columbia, Canada, and the four-man squad to bronze. His grandfather, Tuffield Latour, was a five-time U.. national champion in two-man bobsled who finished ninth at the 1948 Winter Olympics in t. Moritz, witzerland. 2013 ilver medal women s skeleton, World Championships, t. Moritz, witzerland 2012 Gold women s skeleton, World Championships, Lake Placid, N.Y. 2010 Gold women s bobsled, Olympic Games, Whistler, Canada 2010 ilver women s bobsled, Olympic Games, Whistler, Canada 2010 Bronze four-man bobsled, Olympic Games, Whistler, Canada 2004 Bronze four-man bobsled, World Championships, Konigssee, Germany 2003 ilver four-man bobsled, World Championships, Lake Placid, N.Y. 2002 Gold women s bobsled, Olympic Games, alt Lake City 2001 ilver women s bobsled, World Championships, Calgary, Canada 2000 ilver women s bobsled, World Championships, Winterberg, Germany

G WILLIAM TAVARE LUGE COACH Event: Luge Age: 50 Hometown: Lake Placid, N.Y. High school: Tracy Joint Union High chool, Tracy, Calif. College: Ashford University Career field: Infantry WCAP athletes from any sport have the biggest upper hand on any other athlete. Because this is sport, it s not the end of the world. And WCAP athletes have a better understanding of that than any other athlete that I know. We can be deployed at any time. Let s get some things under perspective here, you know? We know what our jobs are. We might be athletes and coaches now, but we re oldiers. This is sport. G Bill Tavares has coached U.. bobsled and luge athletes to more than 100 medals in World Cup and World Championship events. This will be his sixth Olympics, including a ninth-place finish as a luge doubles competitor in1992 and four trips to the Games as a bobsled coach. The U.. Army World Class Athlete Program is the savior of small Olympic sports like bobsled, skeleton, luge, biathlon and many other sports, like wrestling, said Dmitry Feld, a UA Luge manager of events and sponsorships who coached Tavares as a young luge athlete after coming to America from the oviet Union. The United tates is one of the industrial countries of this magnitude who don t give any money to the amateur athletes, so the WCAP program is the savior because those athletes from small sports can go be part of the Army. If they need to be active duty, they will go to defend us, but at the same time they can train and represent us in events like the Olympic Games. U.. Olympic luge coach 2010 Coached U.. athletes to Olympic gold & bronze medals 2006 Coached U.. athletes to Olympic silver medal 2002 Coached U.. athletes to Olympic gold medal 1997- U.. National Team coach 1999 UOC Development Coach of the Year 1992 Ninth place luge doubles competitor, Olympic Winter Games, Albertville, France - Four-time U.. Olympic bobsled assistant coach - U.. National Team coach since 1997 in bobsled and luge - Coached athletes to more than 100 World Cup and World Championship medals

GT JUTIN OLEN BOBLED Event: Bobsled Age: 26 Hometown: an Antonio High school: andra Day O Connor High, Helotes, Texas College: DeVry University Career field: Adjutant General The most memorable moment for me was winning the gold medal at the last Olympics. I remember being at the top of the track in Whistler for the fourth heat of the Olympic Games, and looking around and only seeing my three teammates. We knew that if we put in another good run, the gold was ours. There wasn t any doubt in their eyes or mine. Coming across the finish line and seeing that we were in first place still, and our friends and families were going absolutely crazy, was amazing. I will never forget getting out of the sled and putting my arms around my three teammates, saying: We did it boys! We won it all! Olympic gold medalist GT Justin Olsen has accomplished almost everything one man can in a bobsled, yet he yearns to earn back his spot aboard UA-1 for the Olympic Winter Games and win more medals. He teamed with former WCAP driver teven Holcomb, Curtis Tomasevicz and teve Mesler to strike gold at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Whistler, British Columbia, Canada. He also helped Holcomb s four-man squad secure gold at the 2012 World Championships in Lake Placid, N.Y. ince then, injuries and lost recovery time have knocked Olsen out of Team UA s No. 1 sled. He is determined to work his way back. 2013 Bronze medalist four-man, World Championships, t. Moritz, witzerland 2012 Gold medalist four-man, World Championships, Lake Placid, N.Y. 2012 ilver medalist four-man, World Cup, Park City, Utah 2012 ilver medalist four-man, World Cup, Lake Placid, N.Y. 2011 ilver medalist four-man, World Cup, Igls, Austria 2011 Gold medalist two-man, World Cup, Whistler, B.C., Canada 2010 Gold medalist four-man, World Cup, Lake Placid, N.Y. 2010 Gold medalist four-man, Olympic Winter Games, Whistler, B.C., Canada 2009 Gold medalist four-man, World Cup, Lake Placid, N.Y. 2009 ilver medalist two-man, World Cup, Lake Placid, N.Y. 2009 Gold medalist four-man, World Championships, Lake Placid, N.Y. 2009 U.. GT MATTHEW MORTENEN LUGE Event: Luge doubles Age: 28 Hometown: Huntington tation, N.Y. High school: aint Dominic High chool, Oyster Bay, N.Y. College: DeVry University Career field: Engineer I get emotional thinking about going to the Olympics. It s been almost 17 years that I ve been working towards this point, and for it to finally happen, it s like a dream come true. I m sure my family is ecstatic. I m sure my girlfriend is ecstatic, my grandparents, National Guard, WCAP, everybody. My goal for ochi is to compete well, and hopefully good things will follow. GT Matt Mortensen started sliding down frozen mountains at age 10, began competing in luge at 12, and has been a member of U.. national teams since age 15. He was nominated for the U.. Olympic luge team just three days after his 28th birthday. Mortensen will compete in luge doubles with U.. Army World Class Athlete Program teammate GT Preston Griffall. They also hope to compete in the team relay, an event that will make its Olympic debut in Russia. 2013 Team relay silver medalist, World Cup, Park City, Utah 2013 Team relay silver medalist, World Cup, Lake Placid, N.Y. 2013 ixth place, World Cup, Lake Placid, N.Y. 2012 eventh place, World Championships, Cesana Pariol, Italy 2012 U.. champion 2011 Fifth place, World Cup, Calgary, Canada 2010 Fifth place, World Cup, Park City, Utah 2008 U.. silver medalist, Lake Placid, N.Y. 2007 U.. bronze medalist, Lake Placid, N.Y. 2005 Junior World Cup champion 2004 Junior World Cup silver medalist 2003 Junior World Cup silver medalist 2003 U.. junior champion Three-time UA Luge start champion Two-time defending national champion

1LT MICHEAL KOHN BOBLED COACH Event: Bobsled Age: 41 Hometown: Myrtle Beach,.C. High school: Chantilly High, Chantilly, Va. College: George Mason University Career field: Infantry Winning a bronze medal in the four-man event at the 2002 Olympics is my most memorable moment. It was five months after ept. 11, 2001, in alt Lake City, with Team UA ending a 46-year medal drought in the sport of bobsled. It came at a time when our country needed it most, and it was the greatest honor I have ever experienced as an athlete. I am a very competitive person, so when I see the best Army for the best nation in the world competing at anything it fires me up and motivates me. I hope our fellow oldiers feel a little more connected to the Olympics when they see one of their own competing at the Olympics. Two-time Olympic bobsled competitor 1st Lt. Michael Kohn of the U.. Army World Class Athlete Program will make his Olympic coaching debut at the Winter Games. He helped Team UA win a bronze medal in the four-man bobsled event at the 2002 Olympic Winter Games in alt Lake City and finished 13th with WCAP gt. Nick Cunningham, Jamie Moriarty and Bill chuffenhauer aboard UA-3 at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Whistler, British Columbia, Canada. Kohn played football and ran track for Chantilly High chool in Northern Virginia before attending George Mason University in Fairfax, Va., where he earned a bachelor s degree in exercise physiology. At age 18, he was the youngest competitor at the 1991 U.. Olympic bobsled trials. 2010 13th in four-man, Olympic Winter Games, Whistler, B.C., Canada 2009-10 Third in America s Cup four-man season standings 2008-09 Champion of America s Cup four-man season 2008-09 Third in America s Cup two-man season standings 2007 15th in two-man, World Championships, t. GT PRETON GRIFFALL LUGE Event: Luge doubles Age: 29 Hometown: alt Lake City High school: Olympus High chool, alt Lake City Career field: Adjutant General I have been given an unbelievable opportunity to represent the United tates as a nation and through the Army on the world stage. To compete not only as an athlete, but also as a oldier, gives me a great sense of pride and responsibility knowing that our brothers and sisters in arms are out there fighting for the very freedom that allows us to be able to live the lives that we do. Having experienced life in the athlete village as a luge competitor at the 2006 Olympic Winter Games in Torino, Italy, and missing a berth in the 2010 Winter Olympics by hundredths of a second, GT Preston Griffall was determined to earn a spot on Team UA for the ochi Games. His resilience earned him the right to again be among all the top winter athletes in the world. Griffall will compete in luge doubles with U.. Army World Class Athlete Program teammate GT Matt Mortensen. 2012 U.. doubles champion 2011 eventh place, World Championships, Cesana Pariol, Italy 2011 Fifth place, World Cup, Calgary, Canada 2007 U.. bronze medalist 2006 Eighth place in luge doubles, Olympic Winter Games, Torino, Italy 2005 Junior World Cup overall doubles champion - Three-time UA Luge start champion - Two-time Junior World champion

CPT CHRITOPHER FOGT BOBLED Event: Bobsled Age: 30 Hometown: Alpine, Utah High school: American Fork High chool, Utah College: Utah Valley University Career field: Military Intelligence "I try to apply the warrior ethos and mentality of never quitting or accepting defeat in my training and competitions. Being a oldier-athlete helps keep me focused and working hard because I am representing more than just my team and myself. I m representing the most powerful and respected organization in the world. I need to reflect that in the way I present myself, train, and perform." CPT Chris Fogt finished 10th in the two-man bobsled event at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Whistler, British Columbia, Canada, where his four-man sled, driven by U.. Army World Class Athlete Program GT John Napier, crashed in the four-man event. This time around, Fogt is expected to be aboard UA-1, driven by defending Olympic champion teven Holcomb, who spent seven years in WCAP. He likely will compete in the two-man event, perhaps again with Holcomb. After competing in 2010 Winter Olympics, Fogt deployed to Iraq for one year in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and New Dawn. He returned to America on July 4, 2011, and resumed training for the Olympics. 2013 Gold in four-man and two-man, World Cup, Park City, Utah 2013 Gold in four-man and two-man, World Cup, Lake Placid, N.Y. 2013 Gold in four-man, World Cup, Calgary, Canada 2013 U.. national push champion, Lake Placid, N.Y. 2013 Ninth in two-man, World Championships, t. GT NICK CUNNINGHAM BOBLED Event: Bobsled Age: 27 Hometown: Monterey, Calif. High school: Monterey High chool College: Boise tate University, Monterey Peninsula College Career field: Engineer I feel a tremendous amount of pride to be able to represent my country in two very honorable positions. I get to compete among the elite and serve my country. It s not just me I'm representing when I'm in the sled I have all U.. oldiers behind me as I slide down every track worldwide. GT Nick Cunningham claims to be the walking epitome of going outside the box. He took up bobsled to settle a dare by his parents, who never seriously thought he would give it a try. The California high school football and track star who rode bulls for fun at Boise tate proved his folks wrong by making Team UA in 2008 and competing at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games. In ochi, he will drive UA-2 with WCAP teammates GT Justin Olsen, GT Dallas Robinson and civilian Johnny Quinn aboard. Cunningham also will drive UA-2 in the two-man event. 2013 ilver medal two-man, World Cup, Park City, Utah 2013 Bronze medal two-man, World Cup, Lake Placid, N.Y. 2013 ilver medal two-man, World Cup, Park City, Utah 2013 U.. GT DALLA ROBINON BOBLED Event: Bobsled Age: 31 Hometown: Georgetown, Ky. High school: Oldham County High, Buckner, Ky. College: Eastern Kentucky University Career field: Transportation I m really fortunate to have this opportunity to represent the United tates and to serve the United tates through the Army World Class Athlete Program. As a oldier-athlete, I couldn t be more proud. I m just blessed beyond recognition. GT Dallas Robinson seemingly came out of nowhere to earn a spot on the U.. Olympic bobsled team. He actually came from tiny Berea College in Kentucky, where he was coaching track and field and clinging to an aging sprinter s dream. After injuries helped derail his quests to make Team UA in both track and rugby, Robinson followed one of his protégés to Park City, Utah, where he immediately got hooked on bobsledding. Four years later, Robinson is a oldier pushing the UA-2 four-man sled with WCAP teammates GT Nick Cunningham, GT Justin Olsen and civilian Johnny Quinn. He may also compete in the two-man event. 2013 Bronze medalist two-man, World Cup, Lake Placid, N.Y. 2013 ilver medalist two-man, World Cup, Park City, Utah 2013 13th place two-man, World Championships, t. College: University of Incarnate Word, Chaminade University Career field: Aviation I think a lot of my friends from back in high school in an Francisco will be saying, Hey, you can be one of the first Paralympic representatives from our school. Operation Comfort started me. There are so many people to name who want us to be there. To them, it s like a big accomplishment as well. G Jen Lee discovered sled hockey while rehabilitating from a 2009 motorcycle accident and worked his way into a spot in goal for the U.. Paralympic sled hockey squad that will compete at the Paralympic Winter Games in ochi, Russia. An above the left knee amputee, he rehabbed with Operation Comfort at Brooke Army Medical Hospital in an Antonio, where the journey began. Along the way, Lee helped Team UA secure gold and silver medals at the 2012 and 2013 Ice ledge Hockey World Championships.
