These classes can now be judged concurrently with the associated BCHSA classes in order to conserve the horses and streamline the schedule. Outreach Hunter classes are open to junior and adult amateur riders. High Point awards will be given to registered top Outreach Hunters whose riders are USHJA Outreach members. By participating in Outreach Hunter classes, Junior riders who are USHJA Outreach members showing USHJA registered horses are eligible for the USHJA Outreach Hunter Junior Rider Challenge. The junior rider from each region accumulating the most points in Outreach Hunter classes from their top 3 shows will be named Regional Outreach Hunter Junior Rider Champion and awarded prizes. MHSA Regional Program The MHSA Regional Program is a new program which promotes horse shows within the state of Maryland. This program is part of the Maryland Horse Shows Association. You can find program details and class specs at www.mdhsa.org. A number of the divisions offered by this program are able to be bi-pointed with BCHSA divisions. In our schedule you can see the divisions that overlap. We will also be hosting some of the MHSA medals which allow for qualification for all of their respective year-end finals. The MHSA regional program will host its own finals in November. In order to earn points for both BCHSA and MHSA you must be a member of both associations (and your horse if it is a performance or pleasure division).
