VINCENNES - 22nd February Trainer of the day : Thierry Duvaldestin (406, 605, 711) Jockey of the day : Eric Raffin (103, 209, 504, 704, 808, 914) Horse of the day : Elite de Jiel (811) Dark Horse : Evita Belli (405) Race 1 1. DREAM DE MORGANE - Is proven under the saddle but latest results do nothing to inspire confidence 2. DOMINO DU BON AIR - Complicated individual that flopped on both starts this winter and chances slim at best 3. DIADEM BOY - Delicate but is not lacking ability and should not be far off the mark if Raffin can keep him focused 4. DIABOLO DE JOUDES - Got back in the game in a claimer last weekend but at this level has no realistic chance 5. DOCILE DES CHAMPS - No slouch under the saddle but disappointing last time. Gets a second chance barefoot and expected to redeem himself

6. DUC D'OCCAGNES - Very modest trotter that has been completely off the boil for some time and can be written off 7. DERBY SHOW - Winner of five of his six ridden starts to date. Facile winner of both this winter and is quite simply the horse to beat 8. DIAMANT DE LARRE - Never easy to knock in this branch of the game. Gave a decent account in good company three weeks ago and can make the frame this time 9. DINO DE JILME - Moderate type but has a good entry here and could make the first five The classy (7) DERBY SHOW took no time stating her case this winter with two comfortable wins in this discipline and barring force majeure will have the race in the bag. The opposition is a mixed bunch with the in-form getting the nod based on three respectable efforts at this level here during the meeting. (3) DIADEM BOY is another with ability but will need to improve on his effort over shorter here mid-january. (5) DOCILE DES CHAMPS has not been at his most productive lately but gets a second chance with shoes off and given the company can pick up a cheque. Selections (7) DERBY SHOW - (8) DIAMANT DE LARRE - (3) DIADEM BOY - (5) DOCILE DES CHAMPS

Race 2 1. SUGAR BRED - Regularly in the thick of things but has hit a wall recently and must reaffirm 2. PANORAMIC - Back in shape following a lean patch. Would have finished in the money last time had he not faulted and with application could make the frame on this occasion 3. FINAL OAK - Moderate Swedish trotter that beat (7) DANNE EDEL at home during the autumn but in current form is unlikely to shake things up 4. ARMADA DES ILES - Better sort in the provinces and has yet to show any aptitude for the outer course. Disregard 5. ATTILA D'AUVILLIER - Modest type that shows more in the claiming division and in current condition will have nothing to offer 6. BARAKA DE LOU - Useful for the most part but races shod on first start for 2.5 months and chances limited 7. DANNE EDEL - Got back in the game mid-month with a courageous win over 2100m and looks to have a decent first-five chance here 8. TINAMO JET - Finally got it right here late January with a course and distance win - by default. Breaks in front again and in similar form can go close 9. ACTION FORCE - In the first two in the last eight races she has finished. Goes barefoot for Vincennes debut and with Raffin in charge can be assured a competent drive 10. CLEANGAME - Serious trotter that comes here on a hat-trick. Won earlier in the month over course and distance and even from the back line will take all the beating 11. TRINITY ZET - Drops back in class after having campaigned well at a better level this winter. Incurs the penalty but should still not be far off the mark 12. BOB - Tough individual and currently in fine form but stays shod and others preferred 13. SPEED DELICIOUS - Delicate but can trot when applied. Sanctioned in last three though and not the easiest to trust 14. CHICAGO BLUES - High-class sort that makes his first start since October and with shoes on can be passed over 15. EVIN BOKO - Has failed to impress in either start at Vincennes and the extra 25m will do her no favours

(10) CLEANGAME is like a steamroller when he can keep his action together. He imposed with ease from the back row here earlier in the month and securing the hat-trick would surprise nobody. After a fine run over course and distance late January (8) TINAMO JET starts with a 25m advantage and looks the principal opposition. (2) PANORAMIC has begun to get back in the game and with Goop in the hot seat on this occasion should not be far off the mark. Eric Raffin partners the well-entered (9) ACTION FORCE for the first time and if as good in Paris as she is in the south will have a lot to offer. Selections (10) CLEANGAME - (8) TINAMO JET - (2) PANORAMIC - (9) ACTION FORCE - (7) DANNE EDEL - (11) TRINITY ZET - (15) EVIN BOKO - (1) SUGAR BRED

Race 3 1. ELDVIN - Faithful campaigner in his native Sweden. Sanctioned here last weekend but gets a Raffin drive this time and could get a look in 2. ASK ELD - Quality individual that was quickly sanctioned in the race of reference but with application can play a leading role 3. HALLSTA VINNEX - One of the most consistent horses in the field and should give a decent account provided he can get off on the right foot 4. PIREUS - No stranger to Vincennes but has yet to leave his mark here and unlikely to shake things up this time either 5. JOSVEIS - Got straight down to business here on Sunday denying (9) TAND TUFF victory. Hind shoes off again and a leading contender 6. SONDRE JERKELD - Tough Norwegian sort that acquitted himself well here last time despite faulting at the start. Could possibly win this time if he can get off on the right foot 7. WILL PRINSEN - Respectable but finished a well beaten sixth in the race of reference. Shoes back on and could make the first five on this occasion 8. SPIK MOLLYN - Very faithful for the most part. Came seventh at the weekend and will need to find considerably more 9. TAND TUFF - In cracking form since the turn of the year. Missed out by little to (5) JOSVEIS four days ago and although drawn wide this time can still figure prominently 10. GUSTAV E. - Very good campaigner that finished a courageous fourth in the race of reference and must be afforded respect 11. MOKIN TAHTI - Good Finnish raider that came third here on Sunday at 57-1 and will not be available at a similar price this time around 12. VIRIN EKO - Can prove a handful but otherwise useful. Never threatening at the weekend and even with hind shoes off will still need to show significantly more The talented (6) SONDRE JERKELD managed to finish a good fifth here last Sunday despite a major blunder at the start and can impose this time if on better behaviour. He will nonetheless have to contend with (5) JOSVEIS who won that day and who also benefits from another good spot behind the car. The wellbacked (2) ASK ELD was sanctioned but Goop rarely lets that sort of thing happen twice. (9) TAND TUFF missed out by little at the weekend and although once again drawn wide will still have his chances.

Selections (6) SONDRE JERKELD - (5) JOSVEIS - (2) ASK ELD - (9) TAND TUFF

Race 4 1. ESMEE DE CAREL - Still a maiden from 15. Sanctioned in last two and unlikely to shake things up 2. ETINCELLE DELO - Useful in this branch of the business. Third to (6) EUREKA DE TILLARD last week and must be respected 3. ELVIRA FLIGNY - Tricky sort but otherwise puts her heart into it and if applied can pick up a small stake 4. EMONDEVILLAISE - Won her first three under the saddle. Fell flat in the race of reference but still not to be underestimated 5. EVITA BELLI - Beat a host of others here early February before losing the race in the stewards' room. If focused can make amends and finish in the mix 6. EUREKA DE TILLARD - Exceptional in both codes and recently impressed winning over track and trip. Steps up in class but still a major contender 7. ERMINE D'OCCAGNES - Won over track and trip first time under the saddle. Less effective since but is barefoot this time and could yet make the first five 8. ESPERANCE DU MONT - Quality filly that finished third in the race of reference. Partnered by Raffin this time and can finish in the mix 9. EUREKA DU CHENE - Undeniably capable but has struggled under harness this winter. Switches code for the first time and with hind shoes off for the occasion can get a look in 10. ELDA DU RIB - Good class of horse that recently made her comeback behind (11) EASY ONE. Will have come on for the run and should go closer this time 11. EASY ONE - Has demonstrated very good aptitude for the game. Won a Class B by default from (5) EVITA BELLI over course and distance earlier in the month but a player all the same 12. EBONY D'OURVILLE - Delicate but quality filly. Beat her personal best in a G.II last month. Drops back in class and can make the frame this time (6) EUREKA DE TILLARD has taken to her new code like a duck to water and after scoring smartly over course and distance last week is eminently capable of stepping up in class and doubling her money. (12) EBONY D'OURVILLE is not short of class either and although frequently a handful she finds herself in a more suitable category and will be a tough opponent. The talented (10) ELDA DU RIB made a pleasant comeback recently and should have a lot more to offer this time around. (2) ETINCELLE DELO did not miss out by much to the favourite last time and again deserves to take her chances.

Selections (6) EUREKA DE TILLARD - (12) EBONY D'OURVILLE - (10) ELDA DU RIB - (2) ETINCELLE DELO

Race 5 1. BAR D'OR - Back in the game following a lean spell. Has the inside line here and should be good enough to make the frame this time 2. BODEGA CHENEVIERE - Talented sort that finished a good fourth over course and distance late last month. Is barefoot with Bazire at the helm this time and can win this 3. BACHAR - Has enjoyed a good run this winter. Is ideally placed on the front line and looks competitively well in 4. BANCO DE L'ITON - Impressed in two of three since returning to harness racing. Has a plum spot behind the car and makes the long trip to Paris with legitimate ambition 5. BREAK DE BERTRANGE - Never closer than fourth at Vincennes. Went into his break on a good note but is shod this time and unlikely to influence the outcome 6. BLACK CHARM - Has done nothing noteworthy this term and can be confidently ruled out 7. BEN DU HOULBET - Tricky but capable trotter however unraced since September and will need the outing 8. BUSINESS CLASS - Very consistent for the most part. Finished runner-up under similar conditions last time and although drawn wide can still make a big impact 9. BATTAMBANG - Pleased earlier in the winter but unplaced in last three and must show improvement 10. BARONNE VA BENE - Has made the frame just once in last 21 outings and not a realistic proposition 11. BALZAC BOURGEOIS - Blows hot and cold but makes Vincennes debut fully shod and unlikely to worry the opposition 12. BIANCA THEPOL - Has failed to recapture any semblance of form since her long layoff and can be written off 13. BOLIDE DU LOISIR - Moderate trotter making just his second start of the season and with shoes on offers little hope 14. BLACK RAIN - Consistently gives a good account when applied. Courageous fourth over track and trip ten days ago but still has more to find 15. BOMBE DE CAILLONS - Has failed to make the frame on any occasion in past 11 months and will have nothing to offer 16. BEFORE SOON - Very hard to fault in recent months. Beat his personal best over longer here earlier in the month but the draw will somewhat negate his

chances 17. BACCHUS D'ELA - Blows hot and cold but in the frame in two of last three at a better level. Not blessed with the draw but can still make the first five When applied (8) BUSINESS CLASS is as tough as they come and in current form will not be easy to oppose. She beat (2) BODEGA CHENEVIERE over course and distance late last month but the latter races barefoot for the first time in her career and with Jean-Michel Bazire in the wagon will be a tough nut to crack. (1) BAR D'OR boasts a good record over 2100m on the long course and the inside line will do his prospects no disservice. (3) BACHAR is better positioned though and should not be inconvenienced by the drop in trip. (4) BANCO DE L'ITON breaks from the 4-spot and going barefoot can only enhance his prospects. Selections (2) BODEGA CHENEVIERE - (8) BUSINESS CLASS - (1) BAR D'OR - (3) BACHAR - (4) BANCO DE L'ITON

Race 6 1. EPSON D'ARIANE - Modest individual that has had nothing to show for his efforts so far and can be confidently disregarded 2. EDREAM DU COUDRAY - Unexceptional colt that was trounced last month on Vincennes debut after winning well at Cabourg but still not an obvious choice 3. EXTRA DU CHATELET - Pleased under these conditions last month before one-paced next time and will need to raise his game 4. ECHO DE MEAUTIS - Moderate sort that raced courageously here last time but has yet to make the grade at Vincennes and others preferred 5. EXCALIBUR DEBENICH - Often shows a lack of discipline but won well at Lyon three weeks ago and going barefoot this time can only work to his advantage 6. EDDY DES MULOTTES - Kicked his career off well but disappointing in both this winter. Returns from a spell with hind shoes off and worth following 7. EDEN DU QUENNE - Useful when he can maintain stride but sanctioned in last four and not easy to trust 8. ESPOIR ELEVEN - Has finished no closer than 4th in seven starts here this winter and can be ruled out 9. EUCALYPTUS DU MONT - Delicate but otherwise very useful. Somewhat disappointing at Cagnes on comeback but should logically show improvement on second start back 10. ELENCIO - First time over the distance here but has demonstrated decent aptitude and can put on a good show 11. EDDY DE LA NOE - Regularly in the thick of things when applied. Put in a good finish on the short course three weeks ago and in similar form can impose 12. EXPRESS EVENING - Sanctioned more often than not but Raffin has kept faith and with application can make the first five (11) EDDY DE LA NOE has looked a decent trotter since his spring debut and given how well he finished here earlier in the month should be able to win this time. (9) EUCALYPTUS DU MONT has shown good aptitude for Vincennes and with Abrivard called up for the occasion will be no pushover. (5) EXCALIBUR DEBENICH won smartly at Lyon three weeks ago and with four shoes off this time can make another big impact. (10) ELENCIO did not have the best of runs here last time but is proven on the long course and can make amends.

Selections (11) EDDY DE LA NOE - (9) EUCALYPTUS DU MONT - (5) EXCALIBUR DEBENICH - (10) ELENCIO

Race 7 1. CABAN PRIOR - Consistently in the thick of things in this branch of the game. Left a good impression last time out and can expect to be well supported 2. CUTTY SARK - Versatile and reliable. Took little time getting back in the game following the break and will again generate interest 3. CARAT D'HAUFOR - Handy sort that regularly gives his best but will need to improve on recent fifth to (12) COCKTAIL WINNER 4. CESAR DE VRIE - Not once out of the first three for the past five months. Winner of his last two with Raffin on board and the hat-trick not out of the question 5. CONCERTO D'EM - Good consistent type in both codes. First time under the saddle for ten months but should nonetheless acquit himself respectably 6. CICERON DU CEBE - In the frame in his last four here. Good second to (12) COCKTAIL WINNER last time and should again give a competitive account 7. CELUI DES ROMAINS - Good type in this code but plagued by stride problems since the summer and will have few friends 8. CHTIOT DE BELLANDE - Moderate trotter that has bitten off more than he can chew this term and will struggle to leave his mark 9. CESAR DU CAIEU - Faithful for the most part but unplaced in last three and must raise his game 10. CHICAGO PARIS - Just one blip on his formsheet since the autumn. Beaten second in a Class B here two weeks ago but can still pick up some prizemoney 11. CARLY - Tough type that seldom disappoints when applied. Is confirmed under these conditions and with application can impose 12. COCKTAIL WINNER - Complicated but talented sort that has turned a corner since going unshod in front. Winner of his last two and should again go close but will not be partnered by his usual jockey Although he regularly shows a lack of discipline (11) CARLY is still the class horse in the field and on good behaviour can wrap this up. (6) CICERON DU CEBE has been a model of consistency this winter and has every right to expect to finish in the frame once again. (12) COCKTAIL WINNER beat him last time out but will not be partnered by his usual jockey which could have a bearing on the result. (4) CESAR DE VRIE has won five of his last eight and is not incapable of winning this either.

Selections (11) CARLY - (6) CICERON DU CEBE - (12) COCKTAIL WINNER - (4) CESAR DE VRIE

Race 8 1. EXTREMITY - Like a horse reborn since racing unshod all four. Fine second to (7) EAST ISLAND over 2175m mid-month and can again go close 2. EMARA DU GOUTIER - Respectable type but has finished no closer than fourth this meeting and in this event will need to find more 3. ETONNE DE CARSI - Has enjoyed a productive winter season so far. Finished a decent fourth to (7) EAST ISLAND and can again make her presence felt 4. ELENA PRINCESSE - Has turned a corner since going barefoot. Runner-up to (8) EBELLA AIMEF before finishing close to (7) EAST ISLAND next time and must be respected 5. EVOLUTION - Filly with decent form at this level. Had gas in the tank when losing her action last time and with application can put on a good show 6. ELENA DE PIENCOURT - Showed a different side to herself over shorter here last month when barefoot for the first time. Same formula and a realistic contender 7. EAST ISLAND - Filly with an enviable strike rate. Beat a host of others here over shorter recently and is not incapable of maintaining her perfect run on the outer track 8. EBELLA AIMEF - A model of consistency this winter. Won over the distance on the short course late last month and steps up in class with legitimate ambition 9. ELSA DE BELFONDS - Regularly gives a good account of herself but raced flat last time over shorter. First attempt over 2850m on the long course and can pick up a small stake 10. ECUME DES LOUANGES - Well-regarded but has made little impact this winter and will again have her work cut out 11. ELITE DE JIEL - Fine filly with an excellent record at the venue. Is unshod behind for the first time and with application can have her way (11) ELITE DE JIEL has been a class act for much of her short career. She races unshod behind for the first time and to win this will just need to keep her action together. A number can oppose her here but (3) ETONNE DE CARSI can expect most of the support given the potential she has shown so far. (8) EBELLA AIMEF however is enjoying something of a love affair with Vincennes and is also expected to figure prominently. (4) ELENA PRINCESSE may just have one win to her name but she is currently on a roll and must not be underestimated.

Selections (11) ELITE DE JIEL - (3) ETONNE DE CARSI - (8) EBELLA AIMEF - (4) ELENA PRINCESSE

Race 9 1. DORANIC FOUTEAU - Has made very little impact during the winter meeting and chances slim at best 2. DEAL DE JAPE - Decent sort for the most part in the provinces but will have his work cut out here 3. DJEMBE DU PONT - Raced respectably under these conditions mid-january before flopping next time. Hind shoes off for the occasion but a minor place chance at best 4. DORNADO - Pleased late January behind (12) D'ARTAGNAN DE LARA on Vincennes debut and after prepping at Nantes is unshod in front again and should put on a good show 5. DO KISS ME - Useful but can prove a handful. Has never produced the goods here but form is not in doubt and going unshod behind will work in his favour 6. DAILY CASH - Mixes the good with the less good. Won over 2700m under the saddle ten days ago and can get a look in if form transitions 7. DISCO DE TOUCHYVON - Moderate sort that failed to make good on his promise last season and can be passed over 8. DUC DU GERS - Exceptional earlier in his career but not as effective since. First start since August and no threat 9. DREXEL - Won over course and distance mid-december. Unplaced in two since but goes barefoot for the occasion with Nivard at the helm and should not be ignored 10. DESOTO - Has been on a good run since late summer. Returned to winning ways at Toulouse late last month and must be respected 11. DOLAVIS - Not the most reliable of trotters. Encouraged last time but Vincennes record leaves a lot to be desired 12. D'ARTAGNAN DE LARA - Reliable trotter for the most part. Encouraging second over shorter here on second start back and although stepping up in class can still make his presence felt 13. DERBY DES VAUCHAUX - In the thick of things for the most part and currently in form. Seldom disappoints over track and trip and can expect significant support 14. DESTIN CARISAIE - Good sort making just his second visit to Vincennes. Winner of both since the break and being reunited with Raffin can only work to his advantage 15. DESPERADOS LOVE - Late developer that has demonstrated decent aptitude. Left a good impression over 2100m here earlier in the month and will

have his supporters 16. DROP DE SARDANE - Blows hot and cold. Raced flat over course and distance two weeks ago and will need to find more (13) DERBY DES VAUCHAUX consistently gives a good account of himself and after trotting second over course and distance on dreadful ground recently must be considered the horse to beat. He can nonetheless expect resistance from the productive (14) DESTIN CARISAIE who returns to Vincennes on a hat-trick. (4) DORNADO rarely lets the side down when going unshod in front and in this contest must be regarded a serious player. (12) D'ARTAGNAN DE LARA beat him here late last month and should again figure prominently. (9) DREXEL is confirmed under these conditions and will also have his chances. Selections (13) DERBY DES VAUCHAUX - (14) DESTIN CARISAIE - (4) DORNADO - (12) D'ARTAGNAN DE LARA - (9) DREXEL

CHANTILLY - 22nd February Trainer of the day : Romain Le Gal (102, 409, 709) Jockey of the day : Frank Panicucci (304, 808) Horse of the day : Monteverdi (601) Dark Horse : Lucilo (314) Race 1 1. FASTNET SQUALL - Has the highest rating in the race. Solid last winning effort. First rate chance 2. VISION DE ROLAND - Very competitive in this division and should leave behind his last two below-par efforts 3. MERALINO - Well beaten over course and distance last time in a handicap. Down in grade but still has a bit to find 4. RAMSSISS - Has failed to make an impact over hurdles this winter. Hard to make a case on return to flat racing 5. WAVE POWER - Is distance suited but has poor recent form and needs to reaffirm 6. SHY MOON - Solid performer in this division. On-form and has every chance 7. POSTER - Enjoyed a fruitful summer last year but not sighted in three starts this term 8. GUADIX - Improved last run over shorter. Has been supplemented and must be respected 9. AMERICAN SUN - No sighted on comeback run at Mons. Has a few lengths to find 10. KHALET - Useful sort in Germany but has not run since end of September. First time on french soil 11. VOLPE FIONA - Encountered misfortunes in the running last time out. Has run well over course and distance before 12. ALBEGNA - Should come on from last run. Always goes well over this course and distance (1) FASTNET SQUALL won well enough in a handicap last time out to suggest

he can wrap this up too. He gets a confident vote ahead of (2) VISION DE ROLAND who can boast a sound record in the claiming division. German raider (6) SHY MOON is a smart horse in this class too and must be monitored. Watch for (8) GUADIX who has been supplemented. Selections (1) FASTNET SQUALL - (2) VISION DE ROLAND - (6) SHY MOON - (8) GUADIX

Race 2 1. SECHE - Has been struggling for some time and is unlikely to pose a threat in this line-up 2. DIVISIONAL - Useful sort in handicaps in Germany. Ships a long way and must be respected 3. KING MALPIC - Has never run a bad race over this course. Can run well fresh. Leading chance 4. LA FIBRE - Ran well in defeat on return to action at Cagnes sur Mer. Player with improvement likely 5. KIWI GREEN SUITE - Has demonstrated ability last year but has yet to win a race on french soil after six attempts 6. I AM CHARLIE - Course and distance winner. Always goes well on this surface and must be considered 7. POLARSTERN - Has failed to make an impact in three runs on french soil and is best to pass over 8. XYLAPHONE - Cannot be worth any consideration on form and must be passed over (3) KING MALPIC is a smart horse who always runs well fresh. He boasts a solid record at this course and should make a bold bid once again. (4) LA FIBRE has made a promising return to action on turf and looks the biggest threat to the selection. Course and distance winner (6) I AM CHARLIE is worth a look in. German raider (2) DIVISIONAL cannot be underrated. Selections (3) KING MALPIC - (4) LA FIBRE - (6) I AM CHARLIE - (2) DIVISIONAL - (5) KIWI GREEN SUITE
