Introduction From Friday, April 20th to Sunday, April 22nd 2018, will be held the very first edition of the Students Games. This sporting event gathers more than 500 students coming both from Swiss universities and foreign universities. The competition is organized by the Services des Sports Universitaires de Lausanne (university sports center of Lausanne). It is held in Switzerland, at the sports center of Lausanne University (UNIL) and the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). Our goal is to make this edition an unforgettable sports adventure in a fair-play spirit. It is the occasion to meet new people. The event The Student s Games are a set of tournaments in 8 sports. Each school invited to take part in the competition organizes the selection of its own teams. If you are part of one of them, you will have the chance during the weekend to meet, befriend and confront students from other universities. At the end of the weekend, a general school ranking will be established based on all sports. The trophee will be awarded to the school with the greatest number of victories. 3

Prices full package 65.- CHF/pers. Organization When you arrive on Friday, you will receive your accreditation and a start-pack containing the booklet of the event that will guide you throughout the weekend. The opening ceremony will be held on EPFL campus followed by a roller-disco party! All day on Saturday, you will compete against opponent schools and try to earn your spot for the finals on Sunday. We will provide you with food and drinks. You will celebrate your victories or recover from tough defeats during the party on Saturday evening. The finals of each sport will be held on Sunday at the sports center in Dorigny, and the day will end with the awards ceremony. Finally, you can go home tired, but with lots of unforgettable memories. 7
Transportation Each participant must come to the EPFL campus by its own means on Friday afternoon or early evening. If you live far away from Lausanne, check if your school organizes a group ride! Detailed information about the access to the campus will be given later on, and will be available on our website. During the weekend, transportation to get to the different sports halls is organized by the Students Games committee and fees are covered by your registration package. On Sunday evening, after the closing ceremony, the delegations go home by their own means. 8
Accommodation If you choose the full package, we book you a spot in a tent, on the campsite set up for the occasion on campus. Do not forget to to take your sleeping bag, and eventually a pillow or a sleeping mat! Meals The meal on Friday night is not included. The other meals provided depend on which package you have chosen (see page 6). 2018 edition 9
