SPECIAL CONDITIONS: Measuring: Horses/Ponies must have current RAS or EFA height certificate or obtain one on the day. Horses/Ponies must have a height certificate equivalent to the class for which they have qualified. There will be no transfer. Height certificate must be produced on demand. Drug Testing: The use of tranquillisers, stimulants, or any drugs capable of affecting the performance or behaviour of animals is forbidden. Competitors are advised that tests for forbidden substances may be carried out during the Show and that testing of all animals is at the owner s risk. Testing for forbidden substances will be carried out under veterinary supervision. Conflict of Classes: Every effort will be made to accommodate a conflict, however, in any case a ring will not be held up. ADMISSION ADULTS: $10.00 FAMILY (2 ADULTS & 2 CHILDREN UNDER 14): $20.00 CHILDREN (UNDER 14YRS):$5.00 PENSIONERS: $5.00 MEMBERSHIP Single: $10.00 or Family: $20.00 (ADMITS TO SHOW)

GENERAL REGULATIONS: 1. Entries without requisite fees will not be accepted. 2. The Committee of the Society reserves the right to refuse or cancel any entry and need not give any reason for doing so. Correspondence will not be entered into. 3. Exhibits, displays and all goods and properties are admitted to the showgrounds conditionally upon the owner/s absolving the Society from, and indemnifying the Society against, any claim arising out of any accident to, caused by or resulting from: misdelivery, accident, fire, storm-way, flood, lightning, theft or any other event. 4. All exhibits must be owned by the entrant as disclosed on the relevant entry form. The Secretary may call for evidence to that effect. 5. All exhibits are to be of the breed pedigree description qualities and properties appropriate to the event entered. Any contravention tending to mislead the Judges of the event or the Committee of the Society will result in the disqualification of the entry and forfeiture of any prizes awarded to it. 6. Any exhibit affected with a vermin, parasite, contagious or other disease shall be refused admission to, or caused to be removed from the show. 7. Exhibitors must comply with all instructions of the Steward/s of the relevant section. 8. The Judge of a section is not bound to award any or all of the prizes provided for in a class. Any or all of the prizes may be withheld when the Judge considers appropriate standards are not met. 9. The Judge of a section may amalgamate or divide classes or transfer entries into more appropriate classes if warranted. 10. Any person insulting, impeding or otherwise interfering with any Judge during the course of the Show may be removed from the Showgrounds and any prizes awarded to such person may be forfeited. 11. Judges shall sign and pass their reports to the Secretary promptly after finalising their decisions. Judges decision will be final. 12. Prize cards, ribbons and other awards bestowed at the current Show must be displayed with the relevant exhibit from the time of the award to the close of the Show. 13. Contravention of any regulation may lead to the forfeiture of any prizes won. 14. Any dispute to the construction of these regulations will be determined by the Committee of the Society whose decision will be final. 15. All dogs owned by either Showman s Guild Members, competitors or the general public must be chained or confined by the owner s leash. Chain/leash not to exceed one metre in length. Dogs are to be muzzled whilst not in competition. 16. Prizes and trophies can be collected from the Chief Steward of the section concerned after 4p.m. 17. At 4 pm on Show Day, the Pavilion is to be closed. All patrons are to leave then and only exhibitors are to be re-admitted. PIC Number 3MXDF069

REGULATIONS: 1. Children competing MUST produce certificate of age from parent/guardian on request. 2. Entrants to local classes must produce proof of residency to ring steward.e.g. Utility bill, etc. 3. In any class it will be left to the Judge s discretion to award a 1 st prize. 4. Judges decision is final. 5. The Committee reserves the right to alter or cancel any event. 6. The Official Measurer will be on ground. When height is stipulated EFA Height Certificate will be accepted but the Committee reserves the right to remeasure any horse/pony at any time. 7. Any Stallion present in the Showgrounds must have a bit in its mouth or chain controlling halter. 8. No Stallion shall be permitted in Open Rings, excluding Showjumping & Barrel Racing. 9. Novice means never to have won a 1 st prize at any registered Agricultural Show. 10. Intermediate never to have won a 1 st, 2 nd or 3 rd at any Royal Horse Show. 11. Conflict of classes: Every effort will be made to accommodate a conflict, however, in any case a ring will not be held up. 12. It is the competitor s responsibility to ensure he/she has a valid 2017 Maldon & Baringhup Agricultural Show ticket to present to the steward on entering the ring. Competitors who do not present a valid ticket will be asked to immediately exit the ring. All exhibitors are reminded of their Liability for damage or injury caused by animals in their control. Competitors please note: All Competitors ride entirely at their own risk. Ground Stewards have the power to evict horses not properly restrained whilst on the Showgrounds. ENTRY FEE: $5.00 per entry in each class unless otherwise stated in the programme. AWARDS & PRIZES: 1 st to 3 rd in each class. CHAMPION & RESERVE CHAMPION Sashes & Trophies as noted in details of class. Gate entry $10 per person or $20 per family.

To be judged as a good example of Thoroughbreds rather than riding horse/hunter tyoes with the following to be taken into consideration: Thoroughbred qualities, Confirmation, Manners, Paces and performance, injuries caused through racing such as blemishes are allowed. h. Horse sports are dangerous recreational activities and horses can act in a sudden and unpredictable way, especially when frightened or hurt. By signing this waiver I acknowledge that: 1.1 participation in horse sports is a hazardous activity and may result in injury, loss, damage or death to me; 1.2 participation in horse sports requires certain skills. I declare that I have sufficient skills to be able to safely and properly participate in the events; 1.3 horses can act in a sudden and unpredictable way, especially if frightened or hurt, or if exposed to loud or unfamiliar noises; 1.4 if held at an agricultural show, the horse sports will be held in close proximity to rides and large groups of people, and that there may be loud and unfamiliar noises which can frighten horses; 1.5 as the event is held outdoors, there are risks to me and to my horse as a result of the weather conditions, including either extreme hot or cold weather, rain or wind; 1.6 insects or other animals may cause my horse or other horses to become frightened and act in an unpredictable way; 1.7 there is inherent in horse riding events the risk of suffering injury including falling from my horse; 1.8 I am responsible for ensuring that I have and will wear equipment suitable for safely and properly participating in the event; 1.9 I use the facilities of Maldon & Baringhup Agricultural Society Inc entirely at my own risk, as I find them and with the prior acceptance of the risk of possible danger to me. 1. If I suffer harm while participating in a horse event, I will not hold the Suppliers, their employees or agents legally responsible for any injuries I suffer. I will not sue the Suppliers, their employees or agents for any claims, costs, damages or liability. I agree to release the Suppliers and their employees from legal responsibility for the services I have been provided. 2. I acknowledge and agree that my participation in the horse sports and associated activities are a danger and may have inherent risks as a result of which personal injury (and sometimes death) may occur and I accept and assume all such risks of personal injury or death in anyway whatsoever arising from these activities and hereby waive my individual right to sue the Suppliers for all claims I or my representatives may have for such personal injury or death against the Suppliers in regard to their negligence, breach of statutory duty or statutory guarantees arising from or in connection with these activities to the fullest extent permitted by law. 3. I will not consume any alcohol or illicit drugs while participating in the horse sports and agree that such use may result in me being excluded from an event with no entitlement to any refund of money paid for entry to the Suppliers. 4.
