A dancer s responsibility is to perform for all assigned athletic events. This includes games, rallies, homecoming, and other athletic functions. It is each member s job to motivate the crowd and get them involved. This is a spirit activity. 2. Eligibility A. A dancer must be a Chadron State College student, maintain at least part-time status, and maintain a 2.5 GPA. If a dancer drops below a 2.5 GPA or student status, they will be removed from the team until these requirements are met. B. It is encouraged that students have previous dance experience and knowledge of technique, but is not required. C. Members may not be members of any other athletic team/squad and viceversa due to the commitment level necessary for each team/squad.

3. Practices A. All practices are mandatory unless stated otherwise. B. Pom poms are required at all practices unless stated otherwise; failure to do so results in pre-determined consequences. C. Excused absences are: serious injury/illness (accompanied by a doctor s excuse within 48 hours), sudden illness (accompanied by a doctor s note), family emergencies, class requirements, or a prearranged absence. The

prearranged absence has to be approved by the sponsor at least two weeks before the absence. All other absences are unexcused. F. The sponsor must be informed two days in advance that an individual will be missing any dance event. The sponsor will decide if it is considered an excused absence. Any phone call or email on the day of the event will automatically be deemed unexcused. G. If a dancer is not present at the practice before an event, the sponsor or captain has the right to pull the dancer from the scheduled event. H.
