General Manager s Message The bite of Winter is behind us! Welcome to an exciting 2018/19 season of fun and excitement at Oakwood Country Club. The staff and I look forward to providing our members with entertaining events and exceptional service throughout the year. The month of March traditionally brings the opening of the course. Troy and his crew have been ramping up and are ready to start as soon as Mother Nature allows. We will keep you posted! Eric recently attended the PGA show in Florida and gathered information on the latest equipment technology and trends. I would like to welcome Oakwood s new PGA Assistant Professional, Allan Miller. Eric and Allan are two of the finest teaching Pro s in the area. This Spring would be a great time to work out some of Winter s kinks and sharpen your game. Please be sure to visit the Pro s and introduce yourself to Allan and check out what they have in store for you. Begin to make plans to celebrate St. Paddy s Day at the Club. We offer the finest corned beef and cabbage for those wearing the green. It s hard to believe that The Children s Egg Hunt is the last day of this month. This is a great time for families to meet and enjoy a fun day at Oakwood. It is never to early to make reservations for the Easter Brunch. I recommend those with large groups to call as soon as possible to ensure availability at your preferred time. Please look further in this wonderful Tattler published by our new Administrative Assistant, Angie and as always do not hesitate to contact me with any questions you may have. I hope to see you around the Club soon, Mark 2
