Preferred lies MUST NOT be in play on the golf course on more than three (3) full holes. No more than 30% of bunkers shall be deemed not in play

The Links Ready Golf Mantra Before play Book in 15 mins before your scheduled start time Be on the tee 5 mins before your scheduled start time Within reason, if the tee is running early, your group will not be held back to wait for you During play Shortest hitter to play first on all tee shots, even on par 3 s if they cannot get to the green. If ready (even if it s not your turn) hit your shot when it is safe to do so. If your ball goes into a hazard/long grass area, do not look for it if you won t be able to play it anyway. If your group is out of position NO practice swings. Leave your bag/cart in the direction of the next hole. Hit a provisional ball if in doubt that your original could be lost. Pick up immediately if you cannot score on a hole. On the green Putt out when possible! You will not affect your opponent s line! Line up putts whilst others are putting Marking scorecards Do this on the next tee whilst others are hitting their tee shots If the fairway/green is clear when you get to the tee, tee off before you mark your card!

Links Shell Cove Standard Local Rules and Conditions Out of Bounds Defined by the nearest inside points, at ground level, of any boundary fencing or white stakes with black tops. Water and Lateral Hazard Stakes & Lines Hazards are defined by RED/YELLOW hazard pegs, or where there are no pegs, the chemically applied kill line. The line of the hazard is to be determined by The Line of The Hazard (i.e. kill line, unmaintained grass line or rock line), the Chemically applied Kill Line or if neither can be determined the line of sight between hazard pegs. Long Unmaintained Kikuyu & Native Grasses All areas of long UNMAINTAINED native grass (including areas of long unmaintained kikuyu grass) are to be treated as Lateral Hazards and relief may be taken, with penalty, following this rule. Embedded Ball Through the Green Local Rule is in effect for all Competitions at The Links Shell Cove; Through the Green, a ball that is embedded in its own pitch-mark in the ground, except sand, may be lifted, without penalty, cleaned and dropped as near as possible to where it lay but not nearer the hole. Mulch Areas & Tee Gardens Mulch areas, and any natural planting and/or Rock, unless otherwise marked by local rule, are IN PLAY and a ball coming to rest in these areas must be played as it lies.
