Club Captain s Message I am very privileged to be your 2018 Club Captain and to follow in the footsteps of the 96 Past Captains before me. I hope to maintain the high standard they have set for many years in steering the club in the right direction and to put it in a strong position for this coming year. In the many years I have been a member of St Melyd Golf Club I have always found it to be a very friendly club and hope this will continue for the foreseeable future. There are challenges ahead this coming year, but hopefully with the continued support of the council and the support of the club members we can continue to move forward. The social programmes are high on my list, so please do support us with our efforts and do join us whenever possible, there will always be a warm welcome to all members and visitors. I look forward to working with the Lady Captain June and my Vice Captain Martin and the council members, who put so much time into the running of our club. I think you would all agree, we have a superb and well maintained golf course and one we are all privileged to play on and I look forward to playing golf with you all during the coming year. My charity this year, is one which is very close to me and one in which St Melyd Golf Club and the Rotary Club of Prestatyn have raised over 120,000 with our many Hope House/Ty Gobaith AM/AM competitions held on our golf course over the last 20 years.
