21 MARCH Issue 3 The Post TSA Monthly Newsletter From the Director s Chair By Andy Burggraff IN THIS ISSUE From The Director s Chair Page 1 Family Appreciation Day Page 2 Corner Kicks for Kids Page 3 We wanted to wait a week for March s newsletter to go out to our TSA family. We wanted to be able to say that we were excited about the start of the season with our first official games being played both with TADL and the CASL Scheduling League. It took a little while to get this season underway! I know that you all feel as I do that it is about time for this cold weather, snow, sleet, freezing rain, etc. to leave us alone! It was great to actually play some soccer games this weekend. Our practice schedules have been thrown out of whack as well. Thank you for your patience at the beginning of this season. We have tried our best to accommodate our teams, but we also know that we cannot control the weather. We have rescheduled games and you will be informed (if you have not been already) from your team managers about the changes. We are excited about this season! In this newsletter we have included important information about tryouts for next year. We have also shared with you some important information about this summer s events, registrations, spirit wear, uniform care, etc. Thank you again for being a part of our club! We look forward to a great season. Staff and Railhawk Info Page 4 2015/2016 Tryouts Page 5 TSA Classic Package Page 6 Spirit Wear Page 7 Important Links Page 8 Sponsors Page 9 www.trinitysa.com

THE POST Issue 3 3 FUN FACTS More than 1 in 20 soccer injuries are caused by celebrating goals on the pitch. Corner Kicks for Kids By Andy Burggraff Ronaldinho's deal with Coca-Cola ended after he was caught sipping a Pepsi in a news conference. The most goals scored in a World Cup's match was 10 by Hungary against El Salvador in 1982. Hebrews 12:1-2 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, When you run a race, do you strap on your back a 50 pound pack? Well, maybe if you are a Marine in training, or you are participating in the tough mudder. But if you watch the Olympics, you will not see an Olympian running a marathon carrying extra weight. The goal is to be as light as possible so that the extra weight does not prohibit you from winning the prize. In Hebrews 12, Paul is describing a similar situation. He tells the believers to run the race that God has set before them without excess weight, by avoiding things that can entangle us as we run, by persevering when the run gets difficult, and by fixing our eyes on Christ (in other words, the finishing line). What are some things that can entangle us? What are some things that can weigh us down? Not all of the things that weighs us down are bad things. The things that weigh us down are those things that keep our focus off of Christ and serving Him. Are you running the race that God has laid before you as best you can? Are you persevering when times get tough? God wants us to run our spiritual lives according to the rules, with perseverance, and by seeking to obey and serve Jesus Christ.
