The main website can be found at either www.bjflplayers.co.uk or via the main BJFL website at www.bjfl.uk.net The above screen is an unprotected public view of results, fixtures and league tables. 1
Accessing the system In order to gain access to the protected data of the system then an individual must first logon. Press the PORTAL TAB and the following screen is displayed. Managers, Secretaries, Referees will all have access to the system and depending on the individual s role, different parts of the system will be accessed. All authorized users of this system will have their own unique User Name and Password. If you are a new user then on entering your User Name you will be prompted to supply a new password in two separate fields (see below) On completing this information, please press the <LOGIN> button. Our example shows the typical first screen of a Youth team manager. 2
First screen of a manager access will always default to his own teams registered players. First screen of a secretary will always be the youngest team of that Club. 3
However, by changing the Club and/or Team selections the manager can look at players of other teams. Fixtures Fixtures can be accessed by selecting the Fixtures TAB see below and by changing the above marked fields you can narrow down your fixture search by Season, Month (default is the current month), Club, Team, Age Group or Venue making it exceptionally flexible when looking for fixtures. The screen also has a Show Referee check box that displays the allocated referees as well as a <DOWNLOAD> button that will create a spreadsheet format list of fixtures that are currently being displayed on your screen. All of the underlined teams names when selected will show the individual details for that fixture (see below) 4
Details such as the allocated referee, and by selecting the <VENUE> button, a separate window will be invoked using the Google Maps interface showing you where the venue is. In this example the venue is our U8 venue at Marston s 5

When required to use the APP to enter your matchday result, you have until midnight to do so, after that the system will not allow you to capture your result. The <NEXT GAME> TAB allows you to see your opponent s details, their registered players (only 48 hours prior to kickoff) and submit the result (see below) Using the + and - buttons you can enter the result of your fixture and when satisfied press the <SUBMIT SCORE> button and this will update the main system with the result. The following are valid entries for the result: 0 to 9, 10, 11 etc. also if the game has been abandoned then the letter A is valid and if the game has been postponed then the letter P is also valid. Definition of an abandoned fixture: The game MUST have started and then abandoned by the Referee Example: Game starts, a player breaks his/her arm, referee deems that the game should be abandoned as its going to take 30 minutes for an ambulance to arrive and the player cannot be moved. 12
Definition of a postponed fixture: The game would NOT have started and then postponed by either the referee or the venue. Example: Prior to kickoff the referee deems the pitch to be unplayable as there is standing pools of water in both goal mouths. League Tables and Player Stats If the Our Game TAB is selected this takes the individual back to the League Table, results & Fixtures main screen. Again everything that is underlined is selectable. For example, if you select a team in the league table then all fixtures and results for this team is displayed (see below) By selecting an individual result then the matchsheet for that fixture is displayed (as seen earlier in this guide). On selection of the <PLAYER STATS> TAB then the playing statistics for that team is displayed 13
Player Statistics show details of games played, started and as a substitute, goals, Cleans sheets and player of the match as well as any cautions or sending offs. These stats will be accumulated throughout the season (see below) To view ALL Fixtures or ALL Results or Player Stats for the whole of the currently selected division then see the highlighted selectable links below. 14
Player Stats will show all stats for all teams in the currently selected division (see below), by clicking on a column heading (example Goals) the list is sorted by that column 15
Completing matchsheets After completion of a fixture managers have up to 72 hours to complete their matchsheets. This can be achieved by navigation to the appropriate fixture and selecting your team. A matchsheet window will then be opened and you can then proceed to complete the appropriate statistics. If you have not used the APP to submit your result then the result boxes will be blank, however if you did then this will reflect the result you submitted. 16
A completed matchsheet prior to using the <UPDATE> button Please note: Only when both managers have submitted the same result to the system will the league tables be updated, if one manager submits 3-0 and the other manager 3-1 then the league tables will not be updated until the anomaly has been investigated by The BJFL Fixtures Secretaries. You can also just enter the result via the website and complete the rest of you matchsheet at a later date/time. Please remember that the result MUST be submitted either via the APP or website before midnight on the day of the fixture. 17

Each team is allowed a set number of PR s as per BJFL rules. By default each Club will only be able to see their own (open) PR s By selecting the <New> button a new PR screen will be presented (see below) The submitter now has a number of options. Select your team and the correct fixture from the two drop down selections. If the date of the postponement the team does not have a fixture then select No Fixture and this date will be blocked Please remember at all times that these are requests and depending on the reason given, may or may not be approved. 20
There are a number of reason options, so please select the correct one depending on the nature of the request. School or County activities are only valid for teams that play their fixtures on a Saturday and if selected then you MUST provide The BJFL with documentation that substantiates your request (letter from the school on official paper) and this will be loaded against the request (see below) If the request is Approved then the system will notify all parties via email. Should the request be Rejected then the Club Secretary will be notified by email and The BJFL will provide a reason for its rejection. 21
