Our event guide will provide event details to enhance your experience. What to Wear: Girls should wear their GOTR or Heart & Sole program t-shirt. This program t-shirt signals to our volunteers that your girls should receive a medal when she crosses the finish line. Only GOTR Program Participants receive medals at the finish line. Program Participants Wear Sapphire GOTR Program T-shirts and Daisy Heart & Sole Program T-shirts. TEAM UNITY: we highly encourage GOTR teams to be creative with gimmicks tutus, crazy socks, headbands, etc.
Registration: There are two ways to register for the Girls on the Run 5k. 1) ONLINE: www.girlsontherun.org 2) IN PERSON AT: GOTR OFFICE: 214 E Franklin Blvd, Gastonia REGISTRATION TABLE: at the 5k (Race Village) All locations accept: cash, check or debit/credit card REGISTRATION FEES: Thru 4/2 Through 5/3 5k Day Children 12 and Under * $15 $20 $25 Individual $20 $25 $35 Family (4 participants) $50 $60 $85 *Girls on the Run Program Participants are already registered for the 5k by GOTR. IMPORTANT NOTES: There will be NO refunds for 2018 race. Entries are non-transferable. GOTR of Gaston County reserves the right to cancel or modify the event due to unfavorable conditions. Registration fees are not refundable in the event of cancellation due to Acts of God. Packet Pickup: 5k packets include a 5k t-shirt (while supplies last) and a bib. Packets can be picked up early to avoid lines on Saturday! Weather: Be prepared to run in any weather; the 5k will take place regardless. The police will determine if we will require a delayed start due to lightning prior to the beginning of the 5k start. We do not have a weather make-up date. Pet Policy: Sorry, no furry friends allowed on the course or at the event! Merchandise Sales: Please remember to bring cash and/or debit/credit card to purchase items. GOTR Merchandise will be available with all proceeds being used for scholarships to ensure that EVERY girl can participate. GOTR VILLAGE MEETING LOCATIONS Teams will line up by school/site in alphabetical order along the sidewalk. Coaches, please locate your sign and please stay in your area. This makes it easier for girls to locate you and their teammates. Parents of GOTR girls: Coaches will have your girl s bib. NOTE:5k medals will be picked up by girls following the race.
Event Location: Lineberger Park 632 E Garrison Blvd, Gastonia, NC 28054 Parking Vendors will enter the park via Franklin and Chestnut. Garrison and Chestnut will be CLOSED at 6:00 AM. Vendors should arrive between 6:15-6:45. This road will be closed at 6:45. Participant & Volunteer Parking will be extremely limited at the park. We have designated parking and a shuttle bus arranged specifically to shuttle Girls on the Run and their families to the park. Please park at: Parkwood Baptist (1729 E. Garrison Blvd) or Gaston County Public Library (1555 E. Garrison Blvd) in spaces # 26-54 or in the public spaces below the median in back of building. (Please reserve spaces #1-23 for library

So far, more than 2,000 runners are using this app to support Girls on the Run, this is an incredible opportunity for our community to raise funds GOTR. Gaston County. When you run, bike or walk using the app, your zip code is recorded and GOTR Gaston will receive 12.5 cents! That doesn t seem like much, but it can add up fast!
