Rincon Country East RV Resort 8989 E. Escalante, Tucson, AZ 85730 Business Office: 520-886-8431 Email:alisa@rinconcountry.com Welcome Home! We have all survived this very HOT and WET summer. Now the fun and good weather begins! All of us that stayed through the summer (no, I didn t get to go on my trip) are anxious to hear your tales of adventure and relaxation in your cool country back home. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to our new Activity Director - Alisa Tevlin. At this time I don t have a lot of information regarding Alisa, but we will all get to know her together. Welcome Alisa! We all wish you well. Let s all help Alisa get acquainted and comfortable in her new role. Mary and Harvey Staples, from the office, will be joining us at the end of this month and Frick and Frack will be back in action. Stay tuned. A hearty Thank You to our great maintenance crew for keeping things in such tip top shape during the summer and getting those pesky palms trimmed. Our flowers should start taking hold shortly and we will again have those beautiful sites. If your gate card does not work please come to the office so we can get yours fixed. October, 2011 Volume 33 Number 1 Remember our Refer A Friend program. Get one of your friends to come in their RV (one that has not been here before) and you both will earn credit on your account. Ask for details in the office. Again - Welcome Back, Joan New Activity Director As your new Activity Director I am looking forward to meeting everyone and getting to know all of you. I have been a resident of Southern Arizona for more than half of my life, transplanted from Ohio, I often journey back home but always enjoy getting back to Arizona quickly! Though I haven t owned an RV, I have had a career selling RV s in the past. I always like to live vicariously through the many travelers I come across. What a great life-style! I hope you will share your journeys with me. This year promises lots of activities and plenty of fun. I certainly will need volunteer help, so I encourage you to come into my office and let me know where you would like to apply your expertise. Alisa Tevlin

We ve had some great costumes in the past and I m sure we are all looking forward to seeing this years contestants. Don t forget your camera. SINGLE AND LIVING ALONE? Join our program called The Okay Club. The purpose of this group is NOT to replace calling 911 for emergencies, but to give individuals who live alone a support group of sorts. Every individual who wishes to participate agrees to call the Activity Office at 886-8431, between 9:00 am and 10:00 am to say: My name is at lot # I m Okay. In the event that the Activity Office does not receive a phone call from you by 10:00am, we will call you to see if you forgot to call us. If we do not receive an answer, two office personnel will come to your home to check on you. Each person should agree to leave a key in the main office for emergencies purposes. The key is optional but could be very important in the case of an emergency. If you wish to be part of this group please be sure to fill out a reference card and leave it with the activities office along with your key. 3 Free Movie Country Strong Soon after a rising young singer-song writer (Garrett Hedlund) gets involved with a fallen, emotionally unstable country star (Gwyneth Paltrow), the pair embark on a career resurrection tour helmed by her husband/manager (Tim McGraw) and featuring a beauty queen-turned-singer (Leighton Meester). Between concerts, romantic entanglements and old demons threaten to derail them all. Rated PG-13 Come and join us in the Auditorium on Friday, October 28, at 7:00 pm to watch this fun movie. Please feel free to bring your own snacks and beverage.

Halloween Dance Get ready to dance the evening away with our annual Halloween Dance on Monday, October 31, at 7 pm, (doors open at 6:30). Music will be provided by Tom Chestnut. Remember you are welcome to bring your own and snacks. Beer, Soda and Ice will be provided. Costumes are optional but we hope you will join the fun by dressing up! Feel free to make your costume, reuse a costume, buy one, or search for something great at the thrift store! We can t wait to see what you come up with! We wll vote for the funniest, scariest and most unusual costumes. Tickets are $7.00 Picture Directory 2012 brings with it a new Park Picture Directory. Olan Mills will be on site to take new pictures for the Park Directory on January 11, 12, 13 and 14. More information will be available in future news letters. Be sure to save one of these dates. Name Badges Please remember to wear your name badges. Alisa, your new Activity Director, has a lot of names to learn. It will be very helpful if you are wearing your name badges when she meets you. The cost of a new badge is $2.00 plus tax and comes with a pin. Should you prefer a name badge with a magnet, there is an additional charge of $3.00 plus tax. Name badges can be ordered in the main office. Confused by your Medicare Choices? To get clear answers to your Medicare Questions, please come to an informal Medicare Workshop on Tuesday, October 25, at 9:00 am in the Rec. Hall. Q & A Group will be focusing on guiding seniors through the Medicare maze. Q & A Group is NOT tied to any one Medicare Insurance carrier. Instead they are independant benefit advisors with thirty years of experience. Come join Q & A for answers to your questions. You will be glad you did. Volunteers Needed We are always in need of Volunteers for our activities. If you are already volunteering, please continue to do so, if you aren t volunteering, please consider giving us a hand. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Speed Limit A necessary Reminder: As the season blooms into full swing there will be more and more car, foot, and bicycle traffic. Please be mindfull that the speed limit is 10 miles per hour and let s keep everyone safe. 4

Quote of The Month It s not how you survive the storm, but how you dance in the rain. (Author unknown) Walk alk Around Sale Get your sheds cleaned out and be ready for the first walk around sale of the season. The sale will be held on Thursday, November 17, beginning at 8:00 am. If you let the Activity Office know if you will be selling things at your lot, we will distribute a map with the selling locations. We will need to have this information by the 14th so we can print the maps and get them in your mail box. Newsletter Articles We encourage club officers to submit articles to the Villager to keep our park residents informed of what you have going on. You can do this by following these simple rules listed in the Villager information article. Villager Information Please observe the following rules for submitting articles for the Villager. 1. The deadline for the monthly Villager is the 10th day of the month prior to issue date. For example, the deadline for the January Villager would be December 10. 2. Our preference is that your articles be emailed to: alisa@rinconcountry.com ADVERTISERS Ads in this newsletter are paid Advertisements. Advertisements or Sponsorships should not be considered an endorsement by Rincon Country RV Resorts. A Warm Welcome I hope this note finds you back with us safely. I am looking forward to the fall which never comes soon enough in the Old Pueblo for those of us that spend summers in Arizona. Ah, summer in Tucson; where it is so hot the best parking spaces are judged by shade and not distance! Many have learned that a seatbelt makes a pretty good branding iron! 3. Written or typed articles must be on an 8 1/2 x 11 paper or larger. There is a form in the Activity Office for your convenience. Typed articles are preferred but legible handwriting is perfectly fine. 4. Please try to include correct times, dates and room locations in your articles. Thank you for your cooperation. Looking for adventure? Be sure to check out www.oldtucson.com for information on nightfall 5
