Aided by assistant coaches Rick Vanderhook and Steve Pearse, the fifth recruiting class under Savage includes six position players, one pitcher and one two-way player. The Bruins recruiting class is highlighted by three AFLAC All-Americans right-handed pitcher Scott Griggs, infielder David Nick and catcher Max Stassi. The nine talented high school ballplayers will enroll at UCLA in the fall of 2009. Our coaching staff did an outstanding job putting this class together, Savage said.
