CATTLE Cattle Classes will be held according to DEFRA regulations in force at the time of the Show No animal may be shown in more than one Class unless otherwise stated. All cattle transport conveying these animals must enter the Showground, unload and load as directed. Entries for these Classes must state Registered Name, Herd Book Number and Date of Birth in respect of each animal, where applicable. For the purpose of this Show "A Heifer" is a female beast not having had its second Calf and a "Cow" is a beast having had two or more calves. If there are sufficient entries the Beef Heifer Class will be split by age at the Stewards discretion. Sealed Teats of Cattle. The Society prohibits the sealing of teats of cattle whilst at the Show and it is a recommendation to the judges that they should consider the withdrawal of any cow paraded with sealed teats. Entry Fee: 4.00 First Prize 30.00, Second Prize 20.00, Third Prize 15.00, Fourth Prize 10.00 Livestock Secretary: Mrs A. Welham, The Show Office, Reagarth Farm, Helmsley, York YO62 5HX Coronation Perpetual Challenge Trophy will be awarded to the exhibitor gaining the most points in the Livestock Section (Horses, Cattle, Sheep & Pigs only). Unless there are more than two exhibitors in a Class, no one person may be awarded more than three points towards this cup. THE SHOW COMMITTEE RECOMMEND HAND WASHING WHEN LEAVING ANIMAL AREAS DAIRY CLASSES All entries in this section to be from Brucellosis free Herds. CALF CLASSES: Only calves that do not have a special breed class may be entered in the Calf Classes. The George Russell Cup and Championship Prize. The Society awards a Championship Prize of 25.00 for the Best Dairy Animal in Show. N.B. The Championship Dairy class is judged on a points system.
