SANCTIONED BY: Florida Swimming of US Swimming; Sanction: # 3306 CONDITION OF SANCTION: In granting this sanction it is understood and agreed that USA-S and FL shall be free and held harmless from any liabilities or claims from damages arising by reason of injuries to anyoneduring the conduct of the event. The competition course has been certified in accordance with 104.2.2C(4). The copy of such certification is on file with USA Swimming. Any swimmer entered in the meet, unaccompaniedby a USA-S member coach, must be certified by a USA-S member coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water. It is the responsibility ofthe swimmer or the swimmer s legal guardian to ensure compliance with thisrequirement. The practice of Deck Changing is prohibited at all BLUE WAVE SWIMMING Sanctioned events. Swimmers participating in deck changing would be in violation of the USA Swimming Code of Conduct/Sportsmanship policy and could be subject to removal fromfurther competition in the meet. CAMERA ZONES: HOSTED BY: TYPE OF MEET: Per Florida Swimming Rule 223.12, Meet Management shall designate and inform the publicof Camera Zones at each swim meet where both still photography of a race ora competitor in a race may be taken. Acceptable Camera Zones may include, but are not limited to the side course of a pool, team gathering areas, concession area, turn-end of competition course when not in a use as a start end. Meet Management shall also designate Non-Camera Zones. Under NO circumstances will Camera Zones include the area immediately behind the starting blocks at either end of the race course(s) while they are in use for race starting purposes during competition and warm-ups, locker rooms, restrooms, or any other dressing areas. Any individual failing to abide by this rule could be subject to the Florida Swimming Code of Conduct violation as defined in Rule 239.2. Blue Wave Swimming and the Brandon Sports and AquaticCenter Age group & Senior, 50-meter Long Course outdoor meet. All events will be seeded togetherby gender, and scored out at the completion of events. Timed finals. POOL SPECIFICATIONS: Water depth at the competition end is a minimum of 4 feet, 6 inches and the turn end is a minimum of 3 feet, 6 inches. Non-turbulent lane lines will be used. Warm down lanes will be available in the diving well. TIMING SYSTEM: ELIGIBILITY: NOTE: Daktronics Timing System with scoreboard. Manual watches for back-up. Hy-tek Meet Manager will be used for scoring. Open to all 2015 USA Registered swimmers with current registration number. Entries limited to 700 registered swimmers or meet will be limited as to not exceed the four-hour rule. On deck registration will be allowed. 2015 USA-S forms and fee must be presented to the Referee. The Women and Men s 1500 Free events will alternate by heat, fastest to slowest. DISTANCE EVENTS CHECK IN: Check in with clerk of course will be in Blue Wave office located on the west end of pool. Swimmers who are not checked in and are not scratched may be allowed to dill heats only, on a first-come basis (must notify administrative referee). However, no new heats will be created. Please note check-in times listed in the Order of Events section. Deck seeded heats will be swum fastestto slowest, combined make and female, scored separately. RULES: Current USA Swimming Technical Rules will govern the meet. Safely rules, as outlined by USA Swimming and as recommended by the Head Marshall, will be in effect during the meet, duringall warm-ups and in all warm-up areas. AWARDS: Individual Events: Ribbons for 1 st through 8 th place for age groups/gender swum as 8 & under, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14 and Senior. High Point Award: Top swimmer in each Age Group Team Award: Top two teams Heat Winner awards: Random heat swimmers receive a ribbon or commemorativeaward. SCORING: Individual: 9-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 WARM-UPS: SCRATCHES: Enclosed warm-up schedule will be used. Warm-up will be no more than 90 minutes and no less than 30 minutes prior to the start of each session. No penalty for scratches on the block with the exception of deck seeded events. Any swimmer entered in an individual event that is deck seeded at the meet, which has checked in for thatevent, must swim the event. Failure to so do will result in the swimmer being barred from thenext individual event that he/she is entered. Check in must be done with the clerk of course prior tothe listed check in time to be seeded in that event. Any swimmer properly entered in a deckseeded event, who fails to check in for that event, will be allowed to swim in an pen lane for thatevent only. No new heats will be created- first come, first serve. ENTRY LIMIT: Meet will be limited to 700 swimmers. Swimmers are eligible to swim a maximum of three(3) events per day. Over entries will be dropped at the point ofover-entry.
SEEDING: DECK ENTRIES: Use 50 Meter long course times. Conversions, using the formula in the current Florida Swimming Handbook, may be used for entry and seeding purposes. Deck entries will be accepted to fill heats only- no later than 45 minutes prior to the session. NO new heats will be created. Each deck entry will cost $10.00 plus facility fee, if a swimmer isnot already entered in meet. All deck entries must be paid and accepted by the Administrative Referee. Swimmers are not allowed to exceed the maximum entries for the meet, nor will they be allowed to scratch an event and replace it with deck entry if they are already entered in the maximum number of events for the meet. COACHES/OFFICIALS: TEAM REP: NOTES: Coaches and Officials shall wear their USA Swimming registration card in a conspicuouslocation at all times while on deck during a swim meet. A current coach member of USA Swimmingmust supervise each swimmer participating in a Florida Swimming sanctioned meet during warm up and competition. An unattached swimmer, without a team affiliation and not escorted be a coach member, must check in with the Meet Referee or Head Marshall upon arrival at the meet. Such athletes will be assigned to a substitute coach who will supervise the swimmer(s) during warmup and competition. Prior to the start of the met, the name of one person other than the coach may be given to the meet referee. The meet referee will only recognize the coach and that designated person relative to matters pertaining to the meet. Events/heats may be combined at combined at the discretion of the meet referee. HEAT SHEETS: HEAT SHEETS will be posted on www.fastswimresults.comand www.floridaswimming.org no later than 48 hours prior to the start of the meet. These are to be printed and brought to the meet. A $2 charge will be applied to each swimmer's entry fee. A limited number of heat sheets will be available at the meet forpurchase.
