Welcome Junior golf is an invaluable platform to cultivate leaders for tomorrow and ensure the future of the game of golf. For 21 years, The International Junior Golf Tour (IJGT) has provided junior golfers with a stepping stone to college and professional tour participation, as well as opportunities to develop character, confidence, golf skills and building blocks for life. Welcoming junior golfers from around the globe, the 40+ annual IJGT events offer high quality experiences of competitive golf at premiere venues, unique education offerings, and connection of likeminded athletes for lifelong friendships. The IJGT is training champions for life. The game of golf raises more money for charity than any other sport. The IJGT is pleased to present the, September 23, 2016 at The Legends Golf Course at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, SC. Purpose This inaugural Junior/Military/Civilian outing will connect junior golfers with individuals from the US military and the community. Providing a unique learning experience to heighten appreciation of our US Military Promoting core values of the USMC and junior golf Leadership, Integrity, Honor Increasing awareness for Hope For The Warriors and Junior Champions Foundation Enhancing interest of juniors in leadership and community citizenship Contributing funds to support the mission of each beneficiary group The Experience A United States Marine will welcome you at the Parris Island gate, and all juniors, as well as representatives from sponsor organizations will be privy to a private tour of the Marine Corps Recruit Depot before teeing off for an afternoon of golf at the pristine Legends Golf Course. Through this oneof-a-kind experience, you will get to know junior golfers from around the world, their drive to make their dreams come true, and get a glimpse of the commitment by our US military that ensures freedom to pursue our dreams. As a community leader, we are counting on your role model influence and investment in junior golfers as they develop to be leaders for tomorrow. About the Beneficiaries Hope For The Warriors was founded aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, In North Carolina, in 2006. For the past 10 years Hope For The Warriors has served those who have served. We provide a full cycle of care to restore self, family, and hope to post-9/11 service members, their families, and families of the fallen. Hope For The Warriors has earned a four-star rating from Charity Navigator for superior overall performance as an organization five years in a row, and has been designated a top-rated charity of 2015 by Great Nonprofits. We are committed to helping junior athletes achieve their goals and potential through higher education and quality athletic training. Founded in 2012, the Junior Champions Foundation fosters the talents of junior athletes for success in competition and in life by providing scholarships to deserving athletes who would not otherwise have the financial resources to attend select sports programs. Scholarship assistance supports athletic training, academics, and/or tournament participation. We are also pleased to support initiatives that contribute to the overall sustainability of junior sports and select philanthropic community endeavors.
