MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT OF THE CZECH GOLF FEDERATION Ladies and Gentlemen, Dear Friends of Golf, Let me greet you on behalf of the Czech Golf Federation. Our beautiful game has a very long tradition in the Czech Republic. The first courses were built in the western part of our country (Karlsbad, Marienbad) at the beginning of the twentieth century and we are among the 11 founders who signed the first Constitution of EGA in Luxembourg on November 20 th 1937. After years of communism, when golf was suppressed, we started a new era in 1990 and the new dynamic development of golf in the Czech Republic. Nowadays there are 50 thousand registered golfers and more than 80 golf courses in our country. Ladies golf is highly appreciated in our country and we are glad and feel honoured to be able to organize such an important event. We look forward to greeting all of you and promise that we will do anything for your full satisfaction and create good sports and social conditions for you. The course was designed by a top Australian course architect Graham Marsh who has constructed more than 80 courses all over the world. As a part of the premises you can find three lakes with six holes designed over them. There are a number of typical ragged sand bunkers, wavy fairways and multi-leveled greens. You have to judge the wind very carefully and play it accordingly throughout the seasons of the year. The golf course spreads out on the area of 140 hectares and by its length it belongs to the longest in the Czech Republic. The total length of the course from white and blue tees is 6 656 and 5 868 meters respectively. Mainly the 11 th (par 5, 600/532m) and the 17 th (par 3, 205/169m over the water) holes provide a true skill and endurance test. As the signature hole stands out the 13 th hole par 3 on the bank of the lake with a 130-meter long bunker. From all the holes there is a beautiful view of the dominant of the East Bohemia, the Kunětická hill and castle about a kilometer away from the course. The whole course is surrounded by the greenery of the forests which perfectly isolates the players from the noise of two hectic cities, Hradec Králové and Pardubice. Thanks to its location the resort is not only wonderfully accessible from the nearby cities, but also from Prague. 5

Transportation By aircraft Prague International Airport in Ruzyně is the nearest international airport and is situated approx. 130 km from Kunětická Hora. Transport to/from the official hotels will be provided according to your announced flight details on the day of arrivals July 18 th and the day of departures July 25 th. Registration Players are asked to make their registration at the Tournament Office on Sunday, July 18 th and on Monday, July 19 th from 8 a.m. till 5 p.m. Catering Meals will be available at Golf & Spa Resort Kunětická Hora from 6.15 a.m. till 8 p.m. Breakfasts will be served from 6.15 a.m. till 10 a.m.; price for players and officials living in other hotels than Hotel Golf & Spa Resort Kunětická Hora 10 EUR per person. Lunches and Dinners will be served continuously from 11 a.m. till 8 p.m. in the form of a hot and cold buffet. Daily price with unlimited entry 20 EUR per person. Buffet vouchers will be available upon players registration and the payment has to be made by cash in EUR or by credit card. Drinks/water and fruit will be available for the players free of charge on the golf course during championship s rounds. Practice Grounds Driving range, chipping and putting greens will be open an hour prior the first starting time and available till 8.30 p.m. every day. Conforming Driver Heads Any driver the player carries must have a clubhead, identified by model and loft, that is named on the current List of Conforming Driver Heads issued by the R&A. Exception: A driver with a clubhead that was manufactured prior to 1999 is exempt from this condition. *PENALTY FOR CARRYING, BUT NOT MAKING STROKE WITH, CLUB OR CLUBS IN BREACH OF CONDITION: Two strokes for each hole at which any breach occurred; maximum penalty per round - Four strokes. In the event of a breach between the play of two holes, the penalty applies to the next hole. *Any club or clubs carried in breach of this condition must be declared out of play by the player to her marker or a fellow-competitor immediately upon discovery that a breach has occurred. If the player fails to do so, she is disqualified. PENALTY FOR MAKING STROKE WITH CLUB IN BREACH OF CONDITION: Disqualification. Conforming Balls The ball the player plays must be named on the current List of Conforming Golf Balls issued by the R&A. Use of electronic equipment The use of a mobile telephone, paging device or any other form of electronic equipment by a competitor or her caddie while on the golf course during a stipulated round is distracting and inconsiderate. If the competitor or the caddie is in possession of such a device, it should be turned off. Any use may result in the Committee taking disciplinary action against the offending person(s) in accordance with the concluding paragraph of Section 1: Etiquette in the Rules of Golf and, ultimately in the disqualification penalty being imposed under Rule 33 7. Walkie talkies are used by the Rules Officials and Championship officials only. Distance-Measuring Devices Use of a distance-measuring device of any kind during a stipulated round is prohibited. PENALTY FOR BREACH OF CONDITION: Disqualification Course Guide A stroke saver will be available at the pro shop at the price of 3 EUR. Ceremonies The Opening ceremony will be held on Tuesday, July 20 th at 7.30 p.m. at the club house. The Prize-giving ceremony and the Farewell Dinner will be held on Saturday, July 24 th immediately after the end of the final round. All players, official delegates and guests are welcome to the Closing ceremony and dinner. Dress Code A reasonable standard of dress is required at all times on the course and in the clubhouse. Jeans, tee shirts, and track-suits are not permitted. Caps and hats are not permitted in the clubhouse. Only soft spikes are permitted on the course. Mobile phones must be switched off on the course and in the clubhouse. 12
Golf Shop A full assortment pro shop is on the premises of the clubhouse. Golf Bags Golf bags may be stored upon request at a special and guarded room at the clubhouse. Lockers Lockers will be available for the players free of charge. The key deposit is 20 EUR. Please do not leave any valuables in the locker room. Drug Abuse A competitor shall not make use of any drug to enhance her performance. If in doubt please check the Prohibited list issued by World Anti-Doping Agency (www.wada-ama.org/en). Any player infringing this condition or, if asked to do so refusing to take a test, shall be disqualified. Medical Service During the entire championship a permanent medical service will be available on the premises of the clubhouse.
