Bull Creek Primary School From the Principal s Desk Welcome Ms McCarthy and Ms Owen A very big welcome to our new Associate Principals Ms McCarthy and Ms Owen. Both people have come to our school with a wealth of experience and knowledge. I am looking forward to working with such a professional team. Bull Creek s Got Talent Congratulations to all the talented students at Bull Creek. What a wonderful opportunity for them to be able to perform in front of such an appreciative audience. Well done Mr Pascoe and the Prefects for organising the assembly and for adding a little pizzazz to the event. Congratulation to the winners 1st Place - Teah 2nd Place - Joshain 3rd Place - Leona Minster s Visit The Honourable Minister for Education, Mr Peter Collier, visited our school today. He was accompanied to classrooms where he watched various lessons across a range of year levels. Thank you to all the teachers and students who engaged so enthusiastically with our special guest. Big Crunch Thank you to Mrs Bolton for organising and buying the fruit and vegetables for our students to enjoy. Faction Athletics Sports Carnival Well done Mr Pascoe, Miss Barron and all staff and students for making the day so successful. Everyone had a very enjoyable day. Unfortunately, because of inclement weather on Wednesday the jumps and throws were not completed and we couldn t announce the champions nor the overall winners of the carnival. This will be announced and the winners presented with their trophies during the Multi Cultural Assembly next Friday 16 September. Sue Martin 2

Glee Club Performs at Crown Theatre Congratulations to the Bull Creek Primary School Glee Club who performed at Crown Theatre on Tuesday, 23 rd August as part of the WA Government Schools Music Society showcase. The Glee Club consists of 35 girls and 2 boys from years four to six. They entertained the audience singing Firework and danced away to I Feel Better When I m Dancing by Meghan Trainor. The Glee Club worked as a team to bring together a very polished performance on the night. The girls and boys from Glee were so excited to perform at The Crown Theatre! Thank you to the parents who came along to watch them perform. This is an experience they will never forget. Thank you to all the students in Glee Club for their hard work and their parents for their ongoing support. Ms Eversden Glee Club Co-ordinator 5

P & C NEWS FLASH CANTEEN Thank you to everyone for their support of the canteen so far this year. We hope everyone enjoyed their special Faction Carnival Lunches. A very big thank you to all those that assisted in the planning and distribution of all the lunches. We really appreciate your help! UNIFORM SHOP Thank you to all those families who have purchased their uniforms at the uniform shop. All the children look so lovely in them. The Uniform shop is open on Tuesday mornings in the new undercover area from 8.30am. ENTERTAINMENT BOOK Time is running out to purchase the 2016/17 Entertainment Book. There is the choice of the Entertainment Gold Book or the new Entertainment Digital Membership for your smart phone or tablet. We are so pleased to announce that another $312 has been added to the kitty in order for us to purchase air-conditioners for the classrooms. Our next meeting will be Monday 24th October 2016 at 7pm in the school library. We would love to see some new faces join us.
