We are proud of our history The Aberfeldie Cricket Club roots trace back to 1928, when the club entered a competition known as the Northern District Progress Cricket Association. The Aberfeldie Sports Club was formed in 1948, and this combined both football and cricket under the same umbrella (which still operates harmoniously to this day). The Sports Club became an incorporated body in 1974. In 1998, the club rooms were extended, with an expansion of 40% to cater for the growth in members and size of functions. As with most projects at the club, this was achieved via the extensive voluntary efforts of members. During the 2003/04 summer period, the ground surface at Clifton Park was completely reconstructed using a sand base, and a new and improved irrigation system. Both the Cricket and Football Clubs continue with its rich local history of sporting involvement, co-existing with the Bowls and Tennis Clubs within the Clifton Park sporting precinct. About Aberfeldie Aberfeldie Sports Club is a local community based sporting club fielding teams in the following 3 associations: Essendon District Football League (EDFL) The Victorian Turf Cricket Association (VTCA) North West Metropolitan Cricket Association (NWMCA) Our club competes at an elite level in their respective competitions. Aberfeldie is successful, well respected and proud to represent more than 500 families.
Colloquially known as Abers we field teams in Football and Cricket with participation numbers as follows: Essendon District Football League Competition 5 SENIOR and 23 JUNIOR teams representing over 800 PLAYERS Victorian Turf Cricket Association Competition 5 SENIOR and 15 JUNIOR teams representing over 250 PLAYERS

Senior Women s Football A new history in the making! Be First This is our first senior women s team after a successful entry into junior football. In 2016 we launched Under 12s and Under 18s. The Under 12s did us proud winning the premiership in 2016. In 2017 we grew to three teams U12, U15 and U18. Be You As a Senior Women s Team, we strive for an inclusive culture. We embrace diversity and individuality. We believe everyone has a leader inside them that we want to grow and develop through football being the best YOU can be and achieving your potential. Each player will have different motivations for playing football. Whether you are here to embrace life as a local footy player or be the next Daisy Pearce our environment will support. Be Abers Abers has a 'whole of club' philosophy and we strive to embrace it. Our results on and off the filed has made us the strongest club in the area with families from all over the region enjoying membership.

After a successful club campaign in 2016/17, which yielded a 2 nd XI Premiership & Semi-Final appearance for our first XI, we look forward to the challenge that season 2017/2018 will bring. As all successful seasons go, they start with an even more successful pre-season and we believe all players have benefitted from this planning.

The Jane McGrath Cricket Charity Luncheon is the Ladies event of the Summer season and is quite popular. This event is also promoted via LinkedIn due to the fact that over the past four years the Aberfeldie Sports Club has been in a position through fundraising to donate up to $24,000 to the charity.
