ANNOUNCEMENT: The Top End Motocross Club Inc (TEMCC, Kununurra MX Club, and Katherine Off Road Motorcycle Sports Club) hereafter called the PROMOTER s will conduct the 2016 MX Tri-Series for Junior and Senior riders at the above listed venues on the above listed dates. 2. JURISDICTION: 2.1. The abovementioned meeting has been authorised by Motorcycling Australia Northern Territory which has issued the Motorcycling Australia Permit Number 16L0035 and is open to holders of current Motorcycling Australia Junior or Senior National Licences or One Event Licences. 2.2. The meeting will be held in accordance with the current General Competition Rules (GCR s), these Supplementary Regulations, and any final instructions approved by Motorcycling Australia Northern Territory. BY ENTERING THIS MEETING ALL PARTIES AGREE TO COMPLY WITH THESE RULES, REGULATIONS, BY-LAWS AND INSTRUCTIONS. 3. ENTRIES: 3.1. Entries open forthwith and close last mail the Monday prior to the event date. Late Entries will be accepted after this date but will incur a $20 Late Entry Fee. 3.2. In the case of postponement or abandonment of the meeting, all or any part of the entry fee may be retained by the Promoter, if such retention is approved by Motorcycling Australia Northern Territory. 3.3. Entries for each round need to be submitted to each hosting club prior to the entry closing date at each round. Prepayment into the round will be required when entry forms are received. Proof of payment must be sent to hosting club for each round. Contact individual club s for account details. 3.4. All senior riders must present their MA Licence at sign on. All Junior riders must present their MA Licence and Logbook at sign on 3.5. Any competitor under the age of 18 years must be signed in by a parent. If a parent cannot be present, a Deed of Appointment of Temporary Guardianship must be completed prior to the event. No other form will be accepted. No form = No ride. 3.6. NOTE:- LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED IF ACCOMPANIED BY THE $20 LATE ENTRY FEE AND THE RETURN OF ENTRY FEES FOR ANY RIDER WITHDRAWING FROM THE MEETING IS AT THE DISCRETION OF THE PROMOTER. 4. INSURANCE: 4.1. Ambulance Insurance is compulsory for licensees. 4.2. IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED THAT COMPETITORS GIVE CONSIDERATION TO TAKING OUT WEEKLY BENEFITS INSURANCE. 5. MEDICAL SERVICES: 5.1. St Johns Ambulance Volunteers will be in attendance for the duration of the meeting
6 ENTRY FEE: 6.1. The entry fees for each round of the series are as follows: Mini (Pee wee Non Competitive) $40 50/65cc Classes $50 Other Junior Classes $60 All Senior Classes $70 A late entry fee of $20 will also be applicable to any rider entering after the official close of entry for each round, as outlined above. 6.2. Additional classes will cost an extra $10 per class. 7 CLASSES OF COMPETITION 7.1 Juniors Seniors 1. Mini (Pee wee Non Competitive) 7. Pro Open 2. 50cc Div 2 7-U9 yrs 8. Under 19 s (16-U19) Should there be insufficient entries in any class of competition, the decision to run or cancel the class or to combine events will be at the discretion of the hosting club. 8 AWARDS AND PRIZEMONEY: 8.1. Trophies to be awarded to 1 st, 2 nd and 3 rd place positions for the series with the exception of the Mini Class where prizes will be awarded to all competitors. 8.2. To qualify for series awards, the rider must compete in the full series (3 Rounds) to be eligible 8.3 Presentation for the Tri series will be at the completion of the Katherine round of the series at a time & date to be advised. Kununurrra round ONLY may have a presentation for that round at the end of racing. 9 ENTRIES TO CONSTITUTE A CLASS: 9.1 To constitute a class, the minimum number of riders entered and competing in each class shall be 4 and shall be at the discretion of the promoter. 9.2 Should there be insufficient entries in any class of competition, the decision to run or cancel the class, or to combine events and re-distribute any awards and / or prize money, will be at the discretion of the promoter, subject to MANT approval. 10 RACE FORMAT: 10.1 3 laps practice for each class 10.2 3 Rounds of racing at each series round for all classes. 5 laps per race (time permitting) 11 MACHINES AND RIDERS: 11.1. All machines entered must comply with the current GCRs for Motocross competition. 11.2. Multiple entry of the one machine in the same class of competition is not permitted. 11.3. Scrutineering will be advised on the final instructions to each round. Riders must attend scrutineering prior to sign on. 11.4. Machines entered in the competition must have passed the scrutineering prior to taking part in any riding, practicing or racing. 11.5 Full riding gear must be presented to Scrutineering 11.6. An alternative machine is permitted provided it has been scrutineered in the time frame allocated and the Clerk of Course has approved the change of machine. 12 RIDING NUMBERS: 12.1. Wherever possible, competitors will be allocated their registered riding number or their preferred riding number. All others will be allocated numbers at the promoters discretion. 12.2. All number plates on all machines MUST comply with the GCRs. 13 GRID POSITIONS: 13.1. Positions will be determined by the individual rider via a peg draw, first in best pick. 14 RIDERS BRIEFING: 14.1. A riders briefing will be held prior to the commencement of racing, which ALL competitors MUST attend. Details will be provided on the day of racing. A parent or guardian MUST attend with Junior competitors. 15 DRUG AND OR ALCOHOL TESTING: 15.1 All competitors and officials are advised that as part of the MA drug education program, drug testing may take place at any competition in
accordance with Australian Sports Commission policy as implemented by the Australian Sports Drug Agency. 15.2 If any doubts exist over banned substances it is recommended competitors contact the Drugs in Sport Hotline, tel 1800 020 506. When drug testing takes place, the payment of prize money may be delayed at the MANT discretion until the results of the tests are known. 15.3. For the purposes of drug and alcohol testing, the commencement of the meeting will be deemed to be the start of Scrutineering with the completion of the meeting for the participant being when the participant has vacated the venue. 16 CODE OF CONDUCT: 16.1 All competitors, officials and parents are reminded of the Motorcycling Australia by-law - CODE OF CONDUCT (as stipulated in the GCRs), which is a guide to appropriate behaviour at all motorcycle race meetings. This CODE OF CONDUCT applies to this Meeting and will be enforced. 17. TIMETABLE: 17.1 The timetable for each round of competition will be advised in the Final Instructions for each round which will be available upon close of entries for each round. 18 CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION: 18.1. The tracks consist of natural terrain or man made jumps, drop offs, straights and table tops. 19 STARTS: 19.1 Starts will be from the MX Gates. A 30 second board followed by a 5 second board will precede every race. 20 NOISE: 20.1. Noise testing (by the Noise Control Officer) may take place at any time, and all bikes must comply with the relevant GCR s for noise levels 21 GST: 21.1. The Goods and Services Tax affects the payment of prize money. If you do not provide an ABN or declare the sport is a hobby, the Promoter must withhold 48.5% of prize money over $50.00 which is otherwise payable to you. Please tick one of the boxes on the entry form and if appropriate provide your ABN to ensure the full amount of prize money is paid to you. 23. CAMPING: 23.1. Camping may be allowed at some of the venues. Please contact the host club for further details if you wish to camp at the events. 24. SERIES PRESENTATIONS 24.1. Presentation of the series awards will take place following the final round of the series at a location to be advised. Further details relating to the venue, time and costs will be provided to all riders at a later date. 25. SPECIAL NOTES AND WARNINGS: 25.1 Alcohol is prohibited within the pits and the track area. 25.2 Smoking is strictly prohibited from the pit area 25.3 Enclosed footwear must be worn in the pit area 25.4 No bicycles or scooters allowed within the premises 25.5 Dogs will not be permitted (except guide dogs) 25.6 Catering and toilet facilities available. Please remember to support the club by purchasing from the supplied facilities 25.7 Any competitor who leaves the track during a race other than passing the finish flag will be classed as a non finisher with no points being awarded to that competitor
