One Hand Hopping Rubber Band You will require A rubber band that is about an inch and a half in diameter (size #16) This is a follow up to the Leaping Rubber Band. At the end of that trick the band is around your right third and middle fingers Drawing A Hold your right hand so your fingers are together and straight pointing upward with your palm facing you. Your Right Thumb slips beneath the rubber band and draws it inward Drawing B Curl your right fingers ( All four of them) and slip them inside the stretched band Drawing E Slip your right thumb out from under the rubber band. From the back side you can see that the rubber band circles all four fingers, however from the front side (seen by the audience) the rubber band appears to circle only the third and pinky fingers. To cause the rubber band to leap across, simply straighten all of your right fingers at the same time the rubber band will leap to the first and second fingers where it started at the beginning of "The Leaping Rubber Band.". Immediately close your right fingers again. You may swing your right hand from side to side or swing your left hand in front of your right hand to cover the rapid opening and closing of the right fingers.

How to Make a Rubber Band Appear to Switch Fingers One Hand Hopping Rubber Band 1 Get an average sized rubber band of regular elasticity. (Reading the directions below will give you an idea of the size of rubber band you'll need. 2 Put the rubber band over your pointer and middle fingers. Pull it all the way down by your knuckles 3 With your palm facing you, make a half fist, pull the rubber band out and toward your pinky. 4 Put the ends of all four fingers in the rubber band (your pointer, middle, ring and pinky fingers.) 5 Show your audience the back of your hand. It looks like the rubber band is only around your pointer and middle fingers, with all your fingers curled down. Then straighten all your fingers quickly. The rubber band seems to jump to your other two fingers!

How to Make a Double Star from a Rubber Band Want to show off to your friends that you can pull off making a double star from a mere rubber band?? Well then read the steps below to see how to do it! Note that if you already know how to make one star, you'll have to skip to the steps that lead to two stars. And if you're left handed, everything here will just be the opposite. Enjoy this trick for parties, when traveling and just for fun!! Select a suitable rubber band. Note that you need a specific type of rubber band that can stretch with ease and does not break when stretched for an amount of time. Perhaps the picture will help you to work out the type needed 1 Stretch the rubber band between your index finger and your thumb 2. Place your left index finger through the rubber band hole and pull on the right side of the rubber band

3. Flip your left hand to face upwards.. 4. Place your right pinky finger through the hole where your left index finger is and then remove your left index finger from that hole. 5. Place your left index finger into the hole with your right thumb from above 6. Move your left index finger into the hole along with your right index finger from above and pull.

7. Place your left middle into the hole with your right pinky finger from beneath and pull the down 8. Move your left index finger over the corner of the rubber band from your right thumb. Congratulations!! You have created one star 9. Remove your right pinky and your right thumb. 10. Place your right pinky along the hole with your left middle finger and place your right thumb along the hole with your left index finger and then remove your left middle finger and left index finger

11. Place your left index and left middle finger through the center facing upwards and pull. 12. Twist your left hand to face downwards 13. Place your left middle finger and left index finger on each side and then place your left thumb in the center bottom hole. 14. Pull your left middle finger and left index finger over your left thumb and release your left thumb Congratulations!! You have created a double star

Double Hopping Rubber Bands The magician places two different colored rubber bands on the fingers. closing and opening the hand causes them to change places 1 Place a rubber band of one color around your index and middle fingers. Place a different colored one on your ring and little finger 2 Insert your free index finger into one rubber band and then the other. Pull them away from the fingers and you notice a triangle has formed with your finger at the base. Insert a second finger and spread the triangle 3 Close your hand and insert all four fingertips into the triangle. 4 When you open your hand the colors will have changed places

CHALLENGE HOPPING RUBBER BAND The magician slips a rubber band around the first and second fingers of his hand. He traps it there by twisting a second rubber band across the tops of all his fingers. With a wave of the hand, the first rubber band leaps to around the third and pinky fingers. What You Need. Two rubber bands that are about an inch and a half in diameter (size #16) PERFORMANCE. 1. Allow a helper from the audience to examine the rubber bands. Then, tale the rubber bands back. 2. Hold your right hand so your fingers are together and straight, point in to toward the celling, and your palm is facing you. Your left hand slips one of the rubber bands around your right first and second fingers and draws it downward. Next, take the second rubber band and wrap it around the tip at your right first finger. Turn your left hand over, twisting the rubber band, and wrap lt around the tip of the right second finger (drawing a). Twist the band over the tops of the right third and pinky fingers the same way (drawing 6). 3. Your left thumb and first finger move to the rubber band that is just around your right first and second fingers and stretch it open tar enough so that you can curl your right fingers (all four of them) and slip them inside it (see drawing b of "The Leaping Rubber Band"). 4. Let go of the rubber band with your left hand. From the back side you can see that the rubber band circles all four fingers, however from the front side (seen by the audience) the rubber band appears to circle only the first and second fingers (see drawing c of "The Leaping Rubber Band," which is an audience view). 7. To cause the rubber band to leap across, simply straighten all of your right fingers at the same time-the rubber band will appear on the third and pimply fingers (see drawing d, which is an audience view, of "The Hopping Rubber Band"). Immediately close your right fingers again. Your fingers should snap open and shut in a flash. The fact that you have a second rubber band wrapped around the tips of your right fingers has no effect on the movement of the lower band.

Jumping Band 1 Place the Rubber Band on your Forefinger 2 Take hold of it with your other hand and pull it up behind your middle finger 3 Carry it over the middle finger and loop it on the forefinger once more Now tell everybody that you will make the band jump from your forefinger to your middle finger. Ask somebody to hold the tip of your forefinger. This will make the trick look more difficult than it really is 4 Say One two three JUMP and bend your middle finger. Part of the band will slip off which has the effect of releasing it entirely from the forefinger. The band will jump across and land on the middle finger alone

Button Hole Illusion You will need: one long rubber band. Wear a jacket or cardigan with a buttonhole. To be effective this illusion needs to be performed in one fluid movement. Practice the following few steps until you are familiar with them. Then work up your speed before trying it on your friends 1. Pass the rubber band through your buttonhole. Place your thumbs through each end bringing the thumbs together 2. Hook your left little finger around the lower right side of the band. Hook your right little finger around the lower left side of the band. Then withdraw your left finger, bringing your left thumb down to hold the loop in position. 3. Withdraw your right finger from its original loop 4. The Rubber band is now release from the buttonhole apparently penetrating your jacket.

Penetrating Bands ( Crazy Mans Handcuffs} Watch the video, this will make learning this much easier 1 To start stretch a band between the thumb and middle finger of your right hand. Hang the ther band from your left thumb. Lower this band behind the first one and take the end on your left forefinger 2 Slide one band along the other a few time. moving it back and forth in the direction of the arrows 3. In this step we secretly untrap the two bands so that we can create an.illusion of penetration. Your right hand will hide what you do. First place your left middle fingertip behind your left forefinger to hold that end of the band in position. Pull your right-hand back, sketching the band Bring the fore- and middle fingers of the left hand round to the front of the black band, meanwhile slipping the middle finger out of the white band which will automatically jump back on to the forefinger Return to the position illustrated fig. 2 (except that the white band is now in front of the black one). 4 Continue to slide the rubber bands together as if they were still trapped (In fact your audience should be unaware that step 3 has taken place ) Then Say I think I can feel it coming through now After while, stop the sliding motion and separate the two bands with a sudden ent as if one has just cut right through the other

Twisted Band You will need: one wide Rubber Band I. Hold the band as shown with your right hand at the top and your left hand below. Give the band precisely two twists by running your right forefinger back against the thumb. 2. Ask a friend to take the band from you. Make sure that he holds it in the same way that you are holding it with the right thumb and finger at the top and the left thumb and finger at the bottom. Now challenge him to remove the twists from the band. He must continue e to grip each end firmly between thumb an finger, but apart from that may move his hands in any way he likes. He should find it impossible to remove the twists. 3. Carefully take hold of the rubber band once more, holding it in the same way you did before. Show how easy it is by just moving your hands in a vertical circling motion, bring the left hand up and the right hand down... 4... and the twists have vanished. Your friend will wonder why he failed Actually it is because he only appeared to be holding the band in the same way you were. In fact, because he took the band from the other side, his twists were the reverse of yours-and that makes all the difference.

Disappearing Band You will need - One medium sized rubber band It is a good idea to perform this trick immediately after completing the Penetrating bands when your audience has just seen you handling two rubber bands. Set up the trick by doing Steps 1-3 casually with the hands under the table or hidden in some other way 1. Hang the rubber band on your right forefinger, give it a half twist and hook the other end to your thumb 2 Put your left thumb and forefinger through the two spaces as shown 3 Now stretch the band 4 And bring your thumbs and fingertips together. At this point. bring your hands from under the table and show your audience what appears to be two rubber bands

5 To increase the illusion on that you are holding two bands, separate the thumb and forefinger of one hand, then close them again. Do the same with the other hand, keeping the thumb and forefinger of the first hand closed. Repeat these moves a few times, always remember to keep the rubber band full at stretch 6 Bring your hands back to the position shown in step 4. Then slip the tips of your forefingers forward through both loops, releasing your thumbs. Do not relax the band, keep it stretched as you do this. 7 Close your hands and rub the palms together. This releases the band from your fingers 8 With a flourish, open the left hand to reveal one rubber band. Open the other hand to reveal nothing

Thumb Penetration with Rubber Band use in conjunction with the video

Levitating Ring In this easy magic trick, a ring that's threaded onto a rubberband mysteriously rises on its own accord. This one is super easy and all you need is a rubberband and a ring. There s almost no preparation. Materials: 1) A rubberband that has been cut into a single length and 2) a ring. Secret: It's all in the way that you hold the rubberband, which we'll explain as we go along Thread the ring onto the length of rubberband. As you grasp the rubberband, allow a good length of the band to accumulate in the hand that the ring is moving away from. In this example, we re making the ring rise from our left hand to our right. Thus, we want to have a length of rubberband that s hidden in our left hand. The illustration shows this extra length of band that s in the hand. To perform the trick, pull the band taut and rotate it at a slight incline, making sure that the ring is resting on the lower part of the band. Pull the band taut and slowly release the extra band that s in your left hand. The rubberband will creep out and carry the ring with it, making it look as if the ring is rising. In reality, it s the band that s slowly moving. This one will take some practice. Also, be sure to stand far away enough from spectators so they don't see the rubberband slowly moving. You want them to focus on the ring.
