RESINIZE FINISH APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
Directions for Resinize Finish You just need a few things to start: fine-grain sandpaper (220 grit) foam roller and paintbrush (depending on your project - see instructions below) a clean paint tray and clean paint stir stick protective gloves and a clean cloth A paintbrush is necessary if your project involves recessed surfaces, or surfaces that are difficult to reach. Examples are grout, moldings, and sharp angles. Buy a paintbrush whose size is suited to those surfaces. Some projects may require painter s tape and a drop cloth. For surfaces that can get hot, like radiators and heated floors, turn off the heat several hours before application, so the surface is cool to the touch when applying Resinize. Please read these directions all the way through before beginning. Don t skip any steps or you won t get the best results with the Resinize system. Do not apply on flexible surfaces, plastic or silicone. Do not use outdoors. Store Resinize in a dry place, above the freezing point and below 95 F.
Surface Preparation 1. Lightly sand the surface with fine-grain sandpaper. (220 grit) 2. Wipe the surface clean with a dry cloth after sanding. Shake dust off as you clean. Removing all surface dust and particles is critical to a smooth Resinize finish. 3. Close doors and windows in the room to avoid dust/particles settling onto the surface. Resinize Help 1-844-222-0550
Application Inside the Resinize Finish container you will find two smaller containers labeled Component A and Component B that you will mix together in the larger Finish container. DO NOT THROW IT AWAY! Check the inside of the large Resinize container to make sure it is clean and dust/dirt free. Once the smaller containers are mixed you will have approximately 90 minutes to use the product before it begins to harden, so don t mix the components until you are ready to Resinize. BEFORE AFTER
1. Open Component A and carefully pour all of it into the large container. A 2. Stir well for 1 minute with a clean paint stick, until smooth and consistent. 1min 3. Open Component B and pour all of it into the large container; scrape Component B carefully with the paint stick to ensure no product remains stuck at the bottom /sides. B 4. Stir the mixture well for 1 minute until fully blended, smooth and consistent. 1min 3-5min 5. Allow the mixture to stand for 3-5 minutes, then pour into the paint tray. Resinize Help 1-844-222-0550
6. Apply a thin layer of Resinize Finish with a very lightly loaded foam roller or paintbrush within 90 minutes of mixing. When applying to tiles, cover both the tile surface and the grout. If the grout is recessed or can not be reached with the roller, first use the paintbrush to apply Resinize to the grout and then apply to the remaining surface with the roller. 7. After applying a coat of Resinize Finish, make the roller as dry as possible by wiping any remaining product onto the paint tray. Then, go over the surface with parallel strokes this will smooth and stretch the patented Resinize Finish material for a smooth and clean look. 8. Clean all equipment with warm water within 90 minutes 9. For extra durability where surfaces get a lot of use or are exposed to a lot of water - such as a bathtub, shower, sink, floor we recommend a second layer be applied after 4 hours. This will require an additional container of Resinize Finish. Resinize Help 1-844-222-0550
10. Keep as much dust and particles as possible out of the room for 12 hours; dust won t adhere to the surface after that. It will be dry to the touch after 24 hours and resistant to prolonged immersion after 72 hours (at 50 ). The surface will be fully hardened after 4 days. Do not expose the refinished surface to detergents or cleaning products until then. 11. For surfaces exposed to a great deal of water, use silicone caulk in joints and seams after 24 hours.
