Entertainment Stimulus Package! Fellow Jayhawks, The loyalty of Kansas Jayhawk fans is unwavering, and for that I thank you. At the same time, I realize that we as a country are in the midst of uncertain financial times. The Kansas Athletics experience is truly remarkable. We have been working to find ways to make it truly affordable, as well. We re pleased to introduce our Entertainment Stimulus Package for the 2009-10 season. It includes scaled ticket pricing for men s basketball; a totally revamped Jayhawk Ticket Marketplace for football, basketball and volleyball; and a new Jayhawk Loyalty Program that rewards you for attendance. Plus, for the first time ever, we are restructuring the number of season tickets you may order. Please read through this catalog for detailed information about the following programs: Leveraged payment plan. Now you can choose to spread payments for your 2009-10 season tickets out over the year, with your final payment due June 10, 2010. Tiered pricing for men s basketball tickets. We now offer a tiered plan that lets you decide what you want to spend. Beginning with the 2009-10 season, season ticket prices will be scaled based on seat location. Also, the price of single-game tickets will be scaled based on the opponent. The annual Select-A-Seat event will continue; donors will choose seats according to priority points and based on tiered pricing. See pages 5-6 for additional details. New-and-improved Jayhawk Ticket Marketplace. For several years we have provided a secure online site on which you could offer tickets for resale at face value when you are unable to attend. This year, you ll have the opportunity to offer your tickets to other Jayhawk fans safely and securely at fair market value. See pages 8-9 for information about how Jayhawk Ticket Marketplace works. The Jayhawk Loyalty Program. We now have technology in place that allows your attendance at Kansas Athletics events to be rewarded. See page 7 for information about this program. And though we have confidence that our nation s financial stability will improve, I offer you this guarantee: If you purchase season tickets and lose your job, we will refund the price of the tickets you return. Regardless of the economic climate, this season promises to be amazing for Kansas Athletics. We want to make sure you don t miss a minute of the action. Rock Chalk! Lew Perkins Director of Athletics 1

In challenging times, champions find ways to move forward. We know what it means to be champions and moving forward is what Kansas Athletics is all about. We re pleased to introduce a new way our donors can purchase season tickets and leverage payment over one year. 2

stimulus # 1 introducing... the leveraged PAYMENT plan Kansas Athletics knows full well that when finances are tight, entertainment is one of the first things families consider cutting from their budget. We value our partnerships with our donors and want to keep seeing them at Kansas Athletics events. We have worked creatively with our banking partner to develop a secure, easy way to make online payments for season tickets as well as parking and donations. With this new plan, you may order season tickets for football, men s basketball, women s basketball, soccer and/or volleyball. You also may order parking for football and/or men s basketball, and make your 2010 Williams Educational Fund donation all in one easy place, and pay over a 12-month period of time (with your final payment due on or before June 10, 2010*). How does it work? On the enclosed application form, select your desired season ticket packages (along with parking and your anticipated donation) for the upcoming season. Once we have your completed application form, we will input your ticket orders and upload your account number along with your balance to our banking partner, US Bank. You will receive an e-mail from US Bank in which you will be provided a secure link to their site so that you may create an online payment account and set up a convenient payment schedule. Periodically, you will receive payment reminders and account balance information from the Kansas Athletics Ticket Office. This will ensure that your payments are being made to the right account and that the data is being applied in a proper and timely manner. * Williams Educational Fund 2010 fund drive payments must be paid in full by June 1, 2010. 3

Please note: To keep from having to make multiple account adjustments throughout the year due to unexpected events that could change the schedule, we will use these dates as adjustment periods, if needed: August 1, October 1 and December 1. So, why a payment plan rather than credit cards? Credit card payments cost all of us. Each year, Kansas Athletics pays approximately $450,000 to companies for collecting funds from Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. Our goal in offering the 12-month leveraged payment plan is to provide Jayhawk fans with the convenience of paying over time, but without the excess fees. Tickets for special events Throughout the year, additional applications will be sent so that you may purchase tickets to special events (e.g., post-season play, away games, Kansas vs. Missouri at Arrowhead, etc.). Payment is required with your special application forms for tickets to these events. Not online? No problem We also extend the 12-month payment plan to donors who do not have easy access to the Internet. Just check Paper App Payment Plan near the bottom of the page when completing your application form. Automatic invoices will be sent to you on the following dates: 1st payment: invoice mailed July 31, 2009; payment due September 18, 2009 2nd payment: invoice mailed October 30, 2009; payment due December 18, 2009 3rd payment: invoice mailed January 29, 2010; payment due March 19, 2010 4th payment: invoice mailed April 30, 2010; payment due June 10, 2010 4

introducing... TIERED TICKET pricing for men s basketball stimulus # 2 College basketball afficionados consider Allen Fieldhouse an all-time unparalleled venue. Through the years our donors and fans have made it the biggest and best home-court advantage in college basketball. No matter where you sit, the atmosphere in Allen Fieldhouse is amazing. But should seats in the four top corner sections cost the same as seats in the center court bleachers? And should tickets to exhibition games be the same price as Kansas vs. Missouri? To reward current donors and cultivate new ones, we created a new pricing structure that a) addresses this location, location, location question, and b) makes the season ticket a tremendous value. Plus, for the first time, donors may purchase half-season reserved ticket packages in selected areas of the fieldhouse. Tiered season ticket pricing and Select-A-Seat This season, we are pleased to offer three different season ticket packages with prices based upon seat location (see the Allen Fieldhouse diagram on page 6). Using the enclosed application form, request tickets based on the location/price tier you desire. Then, at the men s basketball Select-A-Seat event in August, you will select your seats in priority point order, from among those available in the price tier you had requested. The sample scenarios on the next page may be helpful to you in choosing your tier. 5

ALLEN FIELDHOUSE Tier 1 $1,255 Tier 2 $1,155 Tier 3 $ 855 Student Sections stimulus # 3 Scenario 1: Suppose last year you had six seats in Section J. Those seats are located in Price Tier 1 ($1,255 each). You want to keep these (or comparable) seats. So, on your application form, request Price Tier 1, Quantity 6. Scenario 2: Suppose last year your seats were in Section 10. This year you have 255 priority points and are at the Jayhawk membership level. You may wish to request comparable seats in Price Tier 2 ($1,155 each). Or, you may wish to request seats in Price Tier 3 ($855 each). If seats are still available in a higher price tier at the time of your Select-A-Seat appointment, we will be happy to upgrade your account. If seats in the price tier you had requested are not available at the time of your appointment, select available seats in a lower price tier and the difference will be refunded to you. we ve lifted the cap! This year, you may request as many season tickets as you want, up to a maximum of six. In order to participate in Select-A-Seat for basketball, orders must be received by July 10, 2009. Season tickets vs. single-game tickets We frequently review ticket prices at schools in our conference and at other perennial basketball powerhouses around the country. We compare what the general public pays for single-game tickets with what our donors pay. For this season, the single game ticket price will also reflect seat location in Allen Fieldhouse as well as opponent. No longer will it be a set price for every game for every seat. This will ensure that our donors who purchase season tickets will enjoy a tremendous value. Have questions? This new tiered pricing structure offers you added flexibility. The coming season looks to be another amazing one for Kansas Basketball, and we don t want anyone to miss out! Please direct your questions to the Kansas Athletics Ticket Office at 785-864-3141, 800-34-HAWKS or kutickets@ku.edu. Our trained staff will be glad to help. 6

stimulus introducing... The Jayhawk Loyalty Program # 4 Thanks to new ticket technology, we can now reward the support you show by attending events or ensuring your ticket is used. In the past we have been able to reward your support based on your donations and tickets purchased. Now, in the venues in which we scan tickets, we can measure your attendance and make it count. Rewarding you for your loyalty: Attendance-based priority points Starting with the 2009 season, ticket holders can earn priority points based on the number of events attended. If your ticket is scanned, you get credit. Life happens. Prior commitments may prevent even the most dedicated fan from attending every event. By sharing your tickets with friends and family members, placing your tickets on our revamped Jayhawk Ticket Marketplace (see pages 8-9 for new and exciting features), sharing your tickets through Ticket Exchange, or turning your tickets into the Williams Educational Fund, you can still earn points. Earn points by attending events With the new Jayhawk Loyalty program your account will receive attendance credit every time your ticket is scanned. We track and monitor this in every venue in which we scan tickets (Memorial Stadium, Allen Fieldhouse and Horejsi Family Athletic Center). At the end of each season, we will credit your account. In addition to these priority points, fans whose accounts show perfect attendance will be honored at a special half-time event during the next season. It s a win-win for everyone! Every coach s desire and player s wish is to play for a packed house. By ensuring that your ticket is used, our players and coaches win because the atmosphere at Kansas Athletics events becomes a home-field/court advantage. You win because your attendance priority points can be used toward post-season events, Select-A-Seat events and parking in the next season. Priority point levels Points are awarded based on the number of events attended in each particular season. Points are awarded if the season ticketholder or someone else uses the ticket. CRIMSON HAWK 100% attendance Our most loyal fans deserve the greatest rewards (5 priority points per sport) BLUE HAWK 85-99% attendance We reward fans who attend or find ways to make sure their seats are very seldom empty (3 priority points per sport) SILVER HAWK 70-84% attendance We reward fans who attended or shared their tickets for nearly three quarters of the season (2 priority points per sport) 7

stimulus # 5 introducing... the new-and-improved Jayhawk ticket marketplace New this year! You set the price to resell your tickets For the 2009-10 seasons, Williams Educational Fund donors will be able to set the resale price for their ticket on Jayhawk Ticket Marketplace. As a Williams Fund member you receive access to the Ticket Marketplace site as part of your membership package. Kansas Athletics understands that the market price for Kansas tickets often exceeds the face value of the ticket, and we now permit you to set the price to sell your tickets on Ticket Marketplace. Tickets may be posted for sale on the Ticket Marketplace site at the selling price that you determine of more or less than the face value. For each ticket that sells, you will receive the value equal to 100% of the selling price as outlined in the Terms and Conditions. At the end of the season, you have the option to receive a check for the value of the tickets sold or apply the value to your 2010-11 season ticket purchase or as a Williams Educational Fund donation. Why sell tickets on Jayhawk Ticket Marketplace? 1. You support Kansas Athletics by filling the venue. 2. You may sell your tickets at the market value you deserve with confidence: Jayhawk Ticket Marketplace is protected by Kansas Athletics. 3. You allow other fans to find the best seats in the house that would otherwise be empty. Basic functions offered at Jayhawk Ticket Marketplace To navigate through the Ticket Marketplace environment, first log-in and then simply use the menu buttons that are located in the menu bar near the top of the Ticket Marketplace window. My Inventory Displays tickets you have available to sell, as well as the status of any tickets that you have posted for sale. My Market Shows tickets you currently have for sale and allows you to change your end sale time or withdraw tickets that have not been purchased. Sales History Shows tickets you have sold through Ticket Marketplace. Buy Tickets Takes you to the full list of tickets currently posted for sale. If you have posted tickets for sale, your tickets will appear in bold and will not have the Buy button next to them. 8

Frequently asked questions How do I sell my tickets? Under My Inventory, or the home page, click Sell next to the game for which you would like to offer tickets for sale on the site. Set the key aspects of the ticket sale, including the following: specifying the tickets you wish to sell, the price you will sell the tickets for, and how much in advance of the game you want the sale to end. Be sure to hold onto the tickets until further e-mail notice. If your tickets don t sell, your original tickets are still valid and available for you to use at the event. How many tickets can I place for sale? You may place as many tickets for sale as you wish; however, the total number of seats for sale at one time for a specific event and the total number of events you can sell over the course of a season may be restricted by Kansas Athletics. How can I be sure that I placed my tickets for sale? After placing tickets for sale, you will receive an e-mail message confirmation. You can also review a list of tickets you have posted for sale under My Market. What do I do with the tickets I ve placed for sale? You will be notified via e-mail when your tickets have been sold. Ownership of the sold tickets will then be transferred to the ticket buyer, and new tickets will be issued. After receiving notification that your tickets have been sold, you must destroy your tickets for that game. If you or someone else attempts to use your original tickets for admittance after they have been sold, all privileges to the Ticket Marketplace including, but not limited to, buying and selling of season tickets via the Ticket Marketplace may be revoked. If your tickets don t sell, you will be notified via e-mail and your original tickets will be valid and available for you to use at the event. Can I cancel a ticket sale? Once you have placed tickets for sale, you can cancel the sale. Go to My Market, select the ticket sale you d like to cancel and click Withdraw Tickets. However, once a ticket sells you may no longer cancel that sale. What happens if my tickets don t sell? If your tickets don t sell, you will receive an e-mail message telling you so. Your original tickets will remain valid and can be used to attend the event. When do ticket sales end? When you place your tickets for sale, you specify when you would like the ticket sale to end. The minimum time before an event for which you can end the sale of your tickets is three hours. If you have other questions, please contact us by phone at 785-864-3141 or 800-34-HAWKS or by e-mail at kutickets@ku.edu. 9
