Welcome to Bristol Anime & Gaming Con! We kick off 2018 with an epic lineup of events in store for you! We have stage events, cosplay, parties, roleplaying, board gaming, video gaming and much more! Of course let's not forget our Anime Zone which shall show anime courtesy of MVM Entertainment & Crunchyroll. Expect a wide range of anime merch, DVDs & more. We will also have top talks on everything from gaming to anime to cosplay and comics! We continue to be the home of UK Cosplay, with some of the best UK cosplayers guesting at the event. The convention is filled with hours of cosplay content from talks, panels and workshops! Make sure to check out the cosplay and arts talks area upstairs! We also encourage you to participate in our Sunday cosplay masquerade with the winner receiving a 100 cash prize! But let's not forget the Gaming Tournaments! Main Stage Event Signups Take place at the desk next to the stairs down to the stage room. Tournament Signups are in the gaming room. Fakes If any product looks fake or bootleg them please report this to a member of staff to check Printed Conbadge (supporting member) or a T-Shirt, are available for collection at the AL merchandise desk upstairs from 11am to 6pm. Stage Event Participation If you're in an stage event, please report in to the stage desk half an hour BEFORE hand to be briefed/sorted. Clan Badges Make sure to pick up your free clanbadge from the registrations desk! Luggage dropped off upstairs at the merch desk (see map), costs 1 an item 8pm Onward Is 18+ Only for the evening parties.
Ground Floor Zones - Reception/Registrations This area is where you can ask questions/help at the registrations desk and check out the clan scoreboard. - Cosplay Photography & Chillout Cosplayers come and chillout, grab a seat and be a part of the cosplay community. - Stage Go downstairs to the basement below the bar, where there is a variety of talks & events as well as karaoke & parties later on. See the timetable for more information. Come here to signup for events including; Cosplay Masquerade, Talent Show and Cosplay Auction. - TCGing, Board Games & RPGs We have many board games to check out and a wide variety of drop-in RPGs to participate in. There will also be TCG tournaments throughout Sixth Floor Zones - Anime Chillout Anime Chillout, showing the anime screenings in the side room courtesy of MVM Films and Crunchyroll. A great chance to add to your watch list! - Video Gaming Over forty setups to play from retro to modern drop in to play casually. We also will have a dozen tournaments, the winner of each will receive a pair of tickets to the next Bristol Anime & Gaming Con or AL event of your choice for same value. - Talks & Workshops We have a variety of free cosplay/art talks and workshops. Topics vary from cosplay to art to crafts and performance. - Artists & Dealers With some of the top UK artists and best merchandise up for grabs!
Saturday Highlights Cosplay & Arts Talks - Throughout the event you can get hands on and learn new skills to improve your craft from some of the UK s best cosplayers. This includes Working with Modelling & Photography, Begineers Guide to Cosplay, Props and much more. Lightsabre Demo, 11:30am Lightsabre Combat will be demoed and taught by LudoSport. They are the world's only international Academy for competitive Lightsabre combat! This dynamic and exciting sport is unique with a level playing field and seven styles of interchangeable combat allowing competitors to switch between style mid match. Make sure not to miss out! Lip Sync Battle, 12:30pm: Mime and dance along to well known songs and tunes in our lip sync battle contest. The winners will get a pair of tickets to the next event! Mr Wibbl's Performance, 1:30pm: MrWeebl is a channel of fun and silliness, with songs and cartoons and even cartoon songs. Some call it random. It s not random. It s absurd look at life because day-to-day life is ridiculous. The are most famous for their short animations/songs such as Badger and Narwhals. They will be performing live for you! Big Geek Quiz, 4pm: Who will be the King of the Geeks? Test your geek knowledge in the big geek quiz. Featuring rounds on both anime, gaming and music as well as some general knowledge. Get your friends together - the winning team will win a cool 50! Jollyboat Live, 5.30pm - Award Winning Comedians Jollyboat will perform with a mixture of comedy, live music and pirates! Top songs include about classic games, D&D, pirates and Game of Thrones! Plushie Making Workshop, 5pm: A chance to make your own plushie to take home with you. There will be a variety of designs to choose from Road to Alcon, 8pm: Come join an hour of fun, games and drinks as we give a taster of what is to look forward to at Alcon 2018! Parties, 9pm-11:30pm: It's party time with the Big Geek Party! We play your favourite tunes from Kyary, Perfume and Psy as well as well known more mainstream songs.
Sunday Highlights Dub That Anime, 11am Come along, form a team and give a comedy improvised dub of various anime clips live on stage. May the funniest team as picked by the audience win! The Big Geek Adventure, 2pm - Where anything and everything can happen! An interactive roleplay where YOU the audience help decide what happens to our intrepid characters. Hosted by the wonderful folk at Jollyboat, so guaranteed to be full of fun! Cosplay Masquerade, 3pm: Enter our cosplay contest for fun and showcase your beautiful creations for a chance to win our grand prize of 100 and to qualify for the Cosplay Championship finals at London. Talent Show, 4pm: Forget X-Factor or The Voice. AnimeLeague s Got Talent is where it is at! Can you sing or dance? Perhaps you have a more unique talent. Whatever it is, enter and show it off! You could be the next big thing, with previous winners now regular performers at the convention. The winner gets a 30 prize! Cosplay Auction, 5pm: A great way to meet new people with proceeds going to the convention s charity. All volunteers go up for bid to the audience, the highest bidder of each Cosplayer winning the company of that Cosplayer for an agreed amount of time and getting the pleasure and opportunity of meeting new people and acquiring new friends. Clan Battle Showdown, 6pm: You have been earning points for your chosen clan all weekend. With over 300 points up for grabs in this event, this showdown is the decider in who will emerge victorious! Come along and help them win the war! Karaoke, 7pm till late: Karaoke will take place on the main stage for both evenings, followed by the parties! Farewell Party, 9pm: It's the final party of the con, make sure not to miss this as we break out the glowsticks, play all your favourite tunes and see off the event in style!
The Clan Battle When you enter BAGC, you pick a free conbadge to wear signifying which clan you're in (ask for one at the registrations desk). You can then earn points for them over the convention to help them towards victory! Points are calculated by who wins events, who helps & so forth! Clan Points & The Scoring System You can earn points for your clan by (a) winning a tournament or event, (b) staffing for the event or (c) special events. When you win an event or tournament, you will be handed stickers with points on them. You take these stickers and stick them on to the clan of your choice's tally chart at registrations. You can also go here to see which clan is winning. - Small events such as TCG tournaments give 15 points to 1st, 10 points to 2nd and 5 points to 3rd. - Medium events which are on stage such as Dub That Anime and the big VG tournaments give 30 points to 1st, 20 points to 2nd and 10 points to 3rd. - Large events such as the Cosplay Masquerade, Big Geek Quiz, Talent Show and so forth give 45 points to 1st, 30 points to 2nd and 15 points to 3rd. - Every crew member who crews all their days (and turns up on time in the morning!) gets 10 points per day. You can collect these from the Registrations Desk. - The Clan Battle event on the Sunday awards a massive bonus of 300 points to the winner of it and 150 points to 2nd place. Make sure not to miss this, it could make a big difference!
