The registration will be accepted only after the payment of the registration fee. On-line registration will open on January 27th, 2018 and will close on May 18th, 2018 at 12.00 AM. 3
Registration fee: Free for U11, U13, U15 e Promo U11/U15. For the remaining categories, registration fee is CHF 35.00 per person before May 18th, 2018 at 12.00 PM. The on-site registration fee is CHF 50.00 or EURO 50.00 Payment directly on the website or cash for on-site registration. The registration fee includes cost for Jury, Timing (MySDAM), security, lockers, showers, toilets, race pack and prizes. Velo Club Capriasca will not be required to refund any subscription fee due to track modification, race neutralization or race cancellation. Helmet: Mandatory for all categories. Each competitor must have personal injury insurance. (Parking 1) and at the former soccer field (Parking 2). Locker rooms, showers and toilets are at the sport center facility. A well-stocked café with coffee, sweets and drinks will be provided at the Villaggio Gara. From 11:00 we will sell pasta at CHF 8.00, sandwiches, salamis and local cheeses at various prices. In case of extreme weather conditions, the organization reserves the right to change the duration of the competition or to cancel the race. Race regulations for U17, Junior and FUN Conditions of participation: 1. The participants accept without any reservation or objection these regulations and renounce any legal action against the organization. 2. By registering, the competitors confirm that they are in sufficient physical condition to withstand the efforts of a competition such as the Capriasca Challenge. Responsibility: 3. The organization declines all responsibility for accidents occurring before, during or after the event as well as for damages caused by participants or their trainers and guests. 4. The organizing company is covered by an RC insurance for damage to third parties. 5. Accident insurance is responsibility of every participant. 6. Participants coming from abroad must make sure that their accident insurance is also valid in Switzerland. 7. The organization declines any responsibility in case of loss or theft of accessories or bicycles in any circumstance of the race. Race numbers: 8. Withdrawal of numbers and packages of the race takes place during the times provided by the organizers of the event. 9. The number must be legibly mounted on the handlebar. Runners with incorrectly applied numbers will not be admitted to the start and the laps will not be counted. 10. It is forbidden to modify the number or hide the sponsors. Technical provisions: 11. The Capriasca Challenge is a mountain bike race in which only mountain bikes are allowed. 12. Each competitor is responsible for his own mountain bike so that it is fully functional and adequately equipped; no technical checks will be carried out on the bicycles before departure. 13. During the Capriasca Challenge it will not be possible to replace the bicycle. Security measures: 14. The use of an approved mountain bike helmet is mandatory, while gloves are recommended. Competitors without helmets will be immediately disqualified. 15. Slower riders must facilitate overtaking by faster athletes. In the event of a technical failure, it is necessary to free the track immediately. 16. It is mandatory to follow the instructions of the security officers; penalty of disqualification. 17. The laps of competitors who do not pass the checkpoints on the track will not be counted. Neutralization and track modifications: 18. The race will take place in any weather. 19. The organization, through the president of the jury, reserves the right to neutralize the race in the event of difficult weather conditions that may endanger the safety of competitors (violent storms, hail, lightning, etc.). 20. In the event of neutralization, all the participants on the course at that moment must finish their lap while remaining within the marked track, until they reach the finish line. 21. In the event that the race cannot start again, the classification resulting at the moment of neutralization will be valid. 6
22. In case of difficult conditions of practicability, the organization reserves the right to change the route during the race in order to make the route more accessible and safe. Technical failures and accidents: 23. In the event of breakdown or flat tire, the runner may decide to repair his bike without help from a third party on the spot or to continue along the entire route, without endangering his own safety and without hindering other athletes on the path. 24. Third party Assistance in case of breakdowns in the designated areas marked "Tech & Feed Zone" is permitted. 25. The first-aid service is guaranteed by the Samaritans and by nursing staff and doctors of the Croce Verde Lugano. A first-aid station is located at the critical points of the route, while another is located at the Villaggio Gara. 26. In the event of accidents of a certain severity for which medical personnel are required to work locally, we recommend that the race participants notify the nearest control point on the track, or directly the first-aid station, stating the exact location of the injured racer on the path.
