1. General The Club des Patineurs Artistique de Meyrin (CPAM), member of the Swiss Ice Skating Federation (USP), is organizing the GENEVEA ICE CUP MEYRIN, a competition of the tour of the European Criterium. The GENEVA ICE CUP MEYRIN is an international Figure Skating Competition with the following categories: Basic Novice B, Basic Novice A, Cubs, Chicks, Advanced Novices, Juniors, Seniors in single Skating. This competition will be conducted in accordance with: The ISU Constitution and General Regulations 2016 The ISU Special Regulations and Technical Rules Singles & Pair Skating 2016 ISU Communications N 2024 for Novices Competition ISU Communication N 2000 Swiss Ice Skating communications N 19/2016-2017 dated 27.06.2016 General required elements for the Swiss championships 2016/2017 All members/clubs wich are members of National Figure Skating Federations associated with the ISU are invited to take part in this competition. Passports or licence of the skaters, as well as the ISU Clearance Certificate, if applicable, must be presented at the accreditation. There may be up to two (2) jump combinations or sequences. Jump combination can contain only two (2) jumps. A jump sequence can contain any number of jumps, but only the two most difficult jumps will be counted. Triple jumps are not permitted. Any single or double jump (including Double Axel) cannot be executed mo re than twice in total.
b) There must be a maximum of two (2) spins of a different nature (abbreviation), one of which must be a spin combination with or without change of foot (minimum of six (6) revolutions in total) and one spin with no change of position and with or without change of foot (minimum of six (6) revolutions in total). Flying entry is allowed. c) There must be a maximum: - for Girls one (1) Choreographic sequence which includes at least one 3 seconds long spiral position. The sequence will have a fixed Base value and evaluated in GOE only. - for Boys maximum of one (1) step sequence with a fixed Base value and evaluated in GOE only. Level explanation: For CUBS, in all elements, which are subject to levels, only features up to Level 2 will be counted. Any additional features will not be counted for Level Requirements and will be ignored by the Technical Panel. The program components will be judged only according to the following criteria: Skating Skills Performance The factors for the program components are 2.5. CHICKS I. GIRLS Age requirements - Chicks Skater is a girl who was born: 1.7.2009 30.6.2010 Free Skating: 2 min, +/ - 10 sec CHICKS II. GIRLS Age requirements - Chicks Skater is a girl who was born: 1.7.2010 and younger. The same ISU rules on Judging, refereeing and work of the Technical Panel will be applied as it is in junior and senior international competitions. 3. Entries All Members/Clubs which are members of National Figure Skating Federations associated with the ISU are invited to take part in this competition. In case of too many entries, the Organizing Committee reserves the right to limit the number of participants. The entries for the competition must be done via web portal by 25 March 2018 www.europeancriterium.eu Before entry procedure a representative of each federation/club needs to apply for a new account on www.europeancriterium.eu/account/register
4. Deadline for entries Together with online entries a filled Program Content Sheet for each skater must be sent to the following e-mail by 25 March 2018: gic2018ppc@gmail.com The PPC sheet must reach the Event Organizer not later than 25 March 2018 5. Entry fee With the deadline of entries, each competitor is requested to pay: Advanced Novice, Junior and Senior a 50.00 Euros Basic Novice, Cubs and Chicks a 40.00 Euros Payments to be made onto account Bank UBS for CPAM IBAN: CH62 0024 0240 1343 64LP B BIC : UBSWCHZH80A Payment is possible directly to the Secretary of the club CPAM during the competition. 6. Expenses Travel expenses, accommodation and meals are at the charge of all participants. Organizer will not cover any expenses of competitors. 7. Liability The organizer will provide Medical Emergency Aid during the competition. In accordance with ISU Regulations, the organizers may not be help responsible for eventual accidents or other damages to participants, officials or third parties. All participants act at their own responsibility. 8. Music Music will be reproduced on Compact Disc - CD. In accordance with Rule 343, paragraph 1, all discs must show the Competition event, Competitor s name, the Nation and the exact running time of the music (not skating time) including any starting signal and must be submitted at the time of registration. Each program (short program, free skating) must be recorded on a separate disc. (Take with you other CD s in case of technical problem for music for each programm).
9. Calculation of the results Results for all categories will be calculated using the new ISU Judging System. The results and any additional information for the event will be published on the website : www.europeancriterium.eu 10. Awards The three best competitors of each category will be awarded with trophies. All other competitors will receive a gift at draw. 11. Draws The opening draw will be automatic via a computer draw. After the draw, the staring order will be published on http://www.cpameyrin.ch 12. Time Schedule The preliminary schedule of the event will be published at the Europeancriterium Website. The preliminary time schedule will be finalized after the entries are finalized, on 28 March 2018. 13. The hotels are generally cheaper than hotels in Swiss. The hotels below are in France, and are located within 10-15 minutes from icerink by car. Please note that it takes 20-30 minutes during rush hours (7-930 am, 5-7pm).
A shuttle service for some of hotels below and ice rink will be provided for 5 euros/one way per individual. Transport : Arranged transport Organizing committee will provide transportation from/to Geneva Airport to hotels and/or to icerink. The transportation fee is 10 Euros per person/one way from airport to hotels and/or to ice rink. For those requesting the transportation service are requested to fill in the form and send this form by email to: gic2018transport@gmail.com. Public transports: From Airport to ice rink: BUS N 57, Get off at the Station Vernes. From Railway Station Cornavin : Tramway N 14, Station Vaudagne for the icerink Taxi is available from the Airport (5km 25 euros one way) and from the Cornavin Station (8 km-30 euros one way). TRAVEL FREE ON PUBLIC TRANSPORT DURING YOUR STAY IN GENEVA https://www.gva.ch/en/desktopdefault.aspx/tabid-67/ You can pick up a free ticket for public transport from the machine in the baggage collection area at the Arrival level of the Geneva airport.
