Because of that success the Jayhawks had sophomore Sudan Saunders chosen as a 3rd team NJCAA All-American. Sudan will continue her basketball career and education at DII University of Mary in North Dakota. Samantha Zimmer will also continue her career and education at DII Grand Valley State University. Coach Jenkins is proud of the fact that with the team s continued success come the opportunity for his sophomore student athletes to move forward with their education at other universities, even if they choose not to continue to play.

2012-2013 Women s Basektball Head Coach~Ron Jenkins con t The 2010-2011season was a great success considering the Jayhawks only had one sophomore, Paris Thomas, who chose Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania to continue her basketball career and education. The team finished the season as MCCAA Western Conference Champions and also finished 2nd in the state tournament. In 2008-2009 the Lady Jayhawks finished as MCCAA Western Conference Champions, NJCAA Region XII Champions and they earned a spot in the NJCAA National Tournament, finishing 17th in the nation. The 2007-2008 team compiled a 14-0 conference record and a 29-3 overall record. We are family, we are one, and together we will achieve. Coach Jenkins was named the MCCAA Coach of the Year, the NJCAA Region XII District G Coach of the Year and also the BCAM College Coach of the year. Also, in 2009-2010, Coach Jenkins had the privilege of coaching Whitney Davis who was also 1st Team All-American. Whitney went on to sign Division 1.
