This show is affiliated to: Welsh Pony and Cob Society BSPS 141/18 Ponies (UK) NPS S.28.148 CHAPS(UK) 18215 The Shetland Pony Stud Book Society SHSUR The Equifest Showing Show TSR Championships This show is a qualifier for the Ponies Association UK Spring Classic to be held in March 2019. This Show is affiliated to the British Show Pony Society ( BSPS ) and all persons entering, competing, showing or otherwise taking part in BSPS classes, whether or not members of the BSPS are subject to the Rules of the BSPS, including the disciplinary procedures, and shall be deemed to have consented to the jurisdiction of the BSPS. NPS Silver Medal Championships: These classes are judged under the Rules of the NPS. NPS Silver Medal Rosettes are only awarded when the owner of the champion pony is a Qualifying or Life member of the NPS. A valid membership card must be in the rider s/handler s posession on entering the ring and be produced immediately on request by either the judge or the steward. If the owner of the Champion pony is not a member, or the owner s membership card is not immediately produced, the rosette may be awarded to the Reserve Champion provided they have the required membership card. If the Champion pony has previously qualified it is still entitled to the Silver Medal Rosette but the qualification card goes to the Reserve Champion pony, provided the owner of that pony is a member of the NPS. The Silver Medal Rosette and the qualification card can be awared no lower than the first Reserve (third). Foals are not eligible for Silver Medal Championships. Qualifiers are entitled to compete in the final of the Silver Medal Rosette Championship to be held at the NPS Summer Championship Show 31st July 2nd August 2018, providing they send to the NPS Secretariat the relevant entry fee. NPS Mountain and Moorland Qualifying Rounds: These classes are judged under the Rules of the NPS. Ponies must be registered in the main body of their respective Mountain & Moorland Stud Books. Part-breds are not eligible. Qualifying rounds for most NPS competitions are open to ponies owned by NPS members and non-members but only ponies owned by Qualifying or Life NPS members are eligible to qualify for the final of the competition. NPS/Rosettes Direct Home Produced Ridden Championship - Riders of Home Produced ponies (see definition in the NPS Rules Book) can wear a white arm band in classes where this is indicated. These ponies, if owned by NPS members, are then eligible to qualify for the final at the NPS Summer Championship Show. Equifest Showing Show. This show is affiliated to the Equifest Showing Show, taking place at the East of England Showground on the 8th 12th August 2018. The two highest exhibits not already qualified in each affiliated class will qualify. Class no s 60, 61, 62, 63, 70, 71, 74, 75, 94 & 95. TSR Showing Finals This show is a qualifier for the 2018 TSR Regional Finals. Qualify and enter ANY of the Regional Finals Central, East Anglia, North West, North East, South East, South, Wales & South West or Scottish. You Do Not have to be a TSR member to qualify or enter a final. The Rider/Handler qualifies and can enter any horse/pony in any number of Finals! TSR Riders Finals 1st & 2nd riders qualify and will receive a qualification card in the ring. TSR In Hand Finals The two highest placed Handlers with a TSR In Hand Card will qualify in any In Hand class. Handlers MUST have their cards signed in the ring by the judge/steward, cards are available FREE from the TSR website. BSHA Grass Roots & SHGB Riding Club Champs With a TSR qualification card you can also enter the BSHA Grass Roots Champs in Sept at Addington Equestrian Center - You do not have to be a BSHA member to qualify or enter the final. Severn Valley Welsh Pony & Cob Association

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS The Severn Valley Welsh Pony and Cob Association is committed to the minimum standards as laid down in the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974, and wherever possible higher standards will be maintained to ensure the overall safety of all those involved in organising and visiting the Severn Valley Welsh Pony and Cob Show. The Association will review their policy statement annually as required by the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. POLICY STATEMENT The Severn Valley Welsh Pony and Cob Association accepts its responsibility for providing and maintaining so far as is reasonably practicable, at all times during the setting up and running of Severn Valley Show, an environment which is both safe and healthy for all. To this end, The Severn Valley Welsh Pony and Cob Association will take all steps within its power to meet its responsibilities under the Health and Safety Act 1974 and all other legal requirements for Health and Safety, and actively seeks the full and understanding co-operation of all persons involved in the Show for their commitment to the same. All exhibitors must take reasonable care for the Health and Safety of themselves and any other person who may be affected by their acts or omissions. It is a condition of entry that all horse exhibitors have adequate public liability insurance in place for their activities at Severn Valley Show. ROSETTES - Special W.P.C.S Rosettes will be awarded to the highest placed Registered Welsh Part-Bred Pony in the following Championships: Children s Riding Ponies, Show Hunter Ponies. Registered numbers must be on entry forms. CUPS - Cups may be collected and signed for at the Secretary s office (tent). Cups to be returned by 1st May 2019. The person signing for a cup will be deemed responsible for its return. PRIZES IN KIND - Any Prizes in Kind to be collected by the winner from the Secretary. Any prizes uncollected at the close of the Show will be disposed of at the discretion of the Committee. BEHAVIOUR - Any act of ill treatment or discourteous behaviour whatsoever may result in the offender being reported to his respective Society and any prize money being withheld. HORSE BOXES/TRAILERS - Anyone found mucking out horse boxes/trailers or leaving litter on the Showground will be fined. COUGHING - Any horse or pony persistently coughing will be pronounced unsound and asked to leave the showground. DOGS - All dogs must be kept on leads at all times on the show field. HARD HATS - Hard hats must be worn at all times when riding ponies and horses. BSPS Rules apply for all ridden classes.
