Pony not to have been placed first in any Ridden Mountain & Moorland Class (excluding Lead Rein or First Ridden). Since 1 st October 2017 all ponies in this class must be shown in a snaffle bit. Rider any age (except stallions see NPS Rules). Dartmoor, Exmoor, Shetland, Welsh A & B Class 43 NPS / HIRSTMUND STUD M&M PURE NOVICE RIDDEN WINTER CHAMPIONSHIP This Competition is open to stallions, mares and geldings four years old or over which must be registered in the main body of their respective Mountain & Moorland Stud Book. Ponies 4 years old or over. Rider any age. Championship for 1 st & 2 nd prizewinners in classes 46-47 Class 48 THE BSPS Heritage Young riders M&M mixed breeds ridden. Registered pure breed Connemara, dales, Dartmoor, Exmoor, fell, highland, new forest, Shetland, welsh section A, B, C & D. Stallion, mare or gelding exceeding 4 years old and over. Suitable for a rider not to have attained their 25 th birthday before 1 st January. B.S.P.S. Qualification The 3 highest placed ponies will qualify in all Novice classes. In mixed height novice classes the 4 highest placed ponies will qualify. In mixed height open/restricted classes the 4 highest placed restricted animals will qualify. Eligible restricted riders MUST wear an armband. Exhibitors in qualifying positions who have never been members are allowed 7 days to register. Winter Championships cards will be presented in the ring and must be posted with Winter Championship Entries. NPS Winter Championship Qualifying Rounds This show is affiliated to the National Pony Society and the NPS affiliated classes will be run under NPS rules. Classes are open to Members and Non-Members of the NPS, but Non- Members will need to become members to enter the finals at the NPS Spring Festival 2018. The NPS General Rules for Showing apply (see NPS website for details). In each class the three highest placed ponies, not already qualified, within the first six places, will qualify. Winnings in the 2017/2018 Novice and Pure Novice Winter Championships will not debar ponies from the NPS 2018 Mountain and Moorland Novice Ridden competitions. Qualification cards will be awarded in the ring. ALL RULES AS PER THE CURRENT BSPS RULE AND SHOW HANDBOOK EXCEPT FOR ANY NEW OR AMENDED RULES AS INCLUDED IN THIS SCHEDULE.
