BEFORE INSTALLING THE C-SLAB GRABBER: Before installation, plan your system. Consider all factors that will affect your safety during use of this equipment. The following list gives important points to consider when planning your system: The structure and surface that the C-Slab Grabber is intended to be used with must be capable of supporting the C-Slab Grabber and the personnel installing it. A complete assessment by a Competent or Qualified Person must be made to determine if the walking and working surfaces have the strength and structural integrity to support the system and the users. Install C-Slab Grabbers on stable, flat, dry, clean surfaces under conditions where adequate illumination is provided. If there is a danger in installing the C-Slab Grabbers, determine how to eliminate the danger before proceeding. The concrete slab must be a level slab of concrete. Never erect guardrail systems near electrical wires. Keep systems a minimum of ten feet from power lines to prevent injury or danger inherent with electrical hazards. Care should be taken when transporting guardrail system components to ensure that they are secure and do not cause damage to other components or personnel. Page 9

INSTALLATION OF THE C-SLAB GRABBER: 1. Place each C-Slab Grabber a maximum of EIGHT feet from each other. 2. Unlock the locking pin on the C-Slab Grabber and pull it out of the adjustment hole. 3.
