The Membership program for Nicklaus North Golf Course has been designed to provide Members and their Guests with the use of the Jack Nicklaus signature designed championship 18 hole golf course and clubhouse facilities. Membership may be purchased through a License Agreement and is subject to the Club s Rules and Regulations. The property and improvements are owned by Green Lakes Projects Inc., which has established the Club s Rules and Regulations in concert with the Nicklaus North Advisory Board. The Owner retains the responsibility to manage and operate the Golf Course, to administer the rules and regulations and retains the right to amend them from time to time. Green Lake Projects Inc., as the property owner, is obligated through the License Agreements it has entered into with each Member to operate the golf course in a manner designed to enable Members to enjoy their rights and privileges in a positive and pleasant environment, provided they comply with the aforementioned guidelines. The following have been prepared for your convenience and provide a general explanation of Member rights, privileges and responsibilities and of Owner responsibilities. This par 71, 18-hole course winds along a gentle valley floor offering you a spectacular setting as your golfing skills are tested to the fullest. Winner of numerous awards since its opening in 1996, Nicklaus North has played host to events such as the Skins Game and the Shell's Wonderful World of Golf, welcoming some of golf's biggest names such as Jack Nicklaus, Nick Faldo, Ernie Els, Greg Norman, Fred Couples, John Daly, Vijay Singh and Stephen Ames to name a few. Yes; any Member will be able to bring Guests to play where there is availability. Guest rates are established seasonally by the General Manager. The booking Member must play in the group unless they are Corporate Member Guests. WILL THE COURSE BE OPEN TO PUBLIC PLAY? Yes; subject to and in accordance with the registered covenant in favour of the Resort Municipality of Whistler. WILL THE CLUB ACCEPT OUTSIDE TOURNAMENTS AND SPECIAL EVENTS? Yes; Members are entitled to use the Golf Course and Clubhouse facilities, however in order to maintain a high level of quality at a reasonable cost to Members, public use, including tournaments and other special functions, will be encouraged for full utilization of Golf Course, clubhouse facilities and staff. HOW LONG IS THE GOLF SEASON? The golf course will open as early as possible, usually early to mid May and will close early to mid October. WHAT ARE THE SUMMARY OF MEMBER DISCOUNTS? As a Licensed Member at Nicklaus North Golf Course, you are entitled to: A savings of 15% on regular priced food purchases at Table Nineteen A savings of 10% on regular priced merchandise in the Golf Shop. Power carts are complimentary with your round Special Member Guest rates WHAT TYPES OF MEMBER EVENTS DOES THE CLUB HOLD? Several Member Events are held during the season and you are encouraged to attend and bring Guests. Questions and Answers (cont) WHO IS THE OWNER? GolfBC Holdings Inc. and Green Lake Projects Inc., both subsidiaries of Burrard International, own and operate the property, including the Golf Course, clubhouse and other improvements. WHEN I PURCHASE A LICENSE, WHAT DO I OWN? You will own the License, which entitles you to the use of 18 hole golf course and clubhouse facilities until the license expires, subject to the Classification of Memberships you elect in the License Agreement and subject to the Club s Rules and Regulations. WHEN DOES THE LICENSE EXPIRE? All Licenses expire December 31, 2035. CAN I SELL MY LICENSE? Yes. The sale of a License is subject to the terms and conditions of the License Agreement between the Licensee and the Owner. You may sell and assign all, but not less than all, of your rights and obligations under the License Agreement. The assignment must be in accordance with the procedure set out in the Rules and Regulations. The Owner will maintain a list of the Licensees who have given notice in writing that they wish to sell and a Waiting List of those who have given notice of their wish to purchase a license. HOW MUCH DO I PAY FOR MY LICENSE/MEMBERSHIP? To acquire your license, you pay an initial fee and agree to pay annual dues. Currently there are no minimum food charges, or administration fees applicable upon the purchase of a license. Fees and charges will be establish or adjusted from time to time by the Owner and a current listing is available from the Club. WHAT ARE THE CLUBS RULES AND REGULATIONS ALL ABOUT? The Rules and Regulations of the Nicklaus North Golf Course have been established with the goal of creating the most positive and pleasant environment possible for Members enjoyment of the Golf Course and the Clubhouse. In signing the License Agreement, each Member commits to observe and comply with these Rules and Regulations and with any amendments made from time to time. The owner commits to managing, operating and maintaining the Club and its facilities to the highest standard. Members can make bookings (including for accompanying Guests) for Weekends and Holidays a maximum of 30 days in advance. Bookings for Monday through Thursday can be made a maximum of 90 days in advance. 2. Saturday, Sunday and Holiday tee times are blocked for Member use until 11:00am. 3. All tee times that go unused by Members on Weekends and Holidays will be released to the general public 72 hours in advance. 4. When booking a Member time, all players in the group (including guests) must be identified. 5. Bookings are to be made using the Member s Only section on the website. Please ask the Director of Golf for all online information and instructions. 6. Cancellations or reductions of players within a booking must be made no less than 48 hours in advance. Members will be charged a penalty of $75 for each player who no shows or if a booking is cancelled within 48 hours. 7. Intermediate and Junior Members will be limited to play on certain times/days. This will be established by the Director of Golf from time to time. 8. Guest rates will be determined seasonally. 9.
