JACK NICKLAUS Passionate as I became about the game of golf, it still remained essentially just that a recreation, an activity to be pursued and enjoyed entirely for its own sake, purely and simply a game. JACK NICKLAUS Jack Nicklaus is well-known for his philanthropy. He and his wife, Barbara, have long been involved in charitable activities, from junior golf to children s hospitals and the foundation of several scholarships. The couple established the Nicklaus Children s Health Care Foundation, which supports pediatric health care services in their home district of South Florida, as well as around the USA. In a decade, this foundation alone has raised more than US$50 million. In recognition of their tireless efforts, Jack and Barbara Nicklaus were inducted into the Ambassador David M. Walter International Pediatric Hall of Fame in 2010.

Our facilities are among the very best in the world. Every aspect of the golf academy has been carefully designed to engage our guests in their learning adventure and to enhance their experience of the game. At the heart of everything is the rich Jack Nicklaus legacy. We offer three exclusive Jack Nicklaus Coaching Studios, the like of which are used by many PGA Tour players, and which are powered by the proprietary Nicklaus Academy fully-integrated video analysis software programme that includes multiple high-speed video cameras, a pressure/ balance plate, a Doppler Radar Flightscope Elite ball launch monitor, and a live video feed for students to review their performance. There is a Nicklaus Design 6-hole training course, practice putting greens and bunker, a special VIP training area, and 75 hitting stations, including automatic ball feed stations, over three levels. The entire training facility is lit for night play so that you can enjoy the game at any time of day or night. 05

Tasked with teaching the Nicklaus Method to a consistently high level are our professional coaches who have the proven experience to raise the bar for all our students. All our Nicklaus Academies Certified Coaches share a deep understanding of teaching the game through the principles of technological integration, physical and mental conditioning and consistent training, all of which are underpinned by the playing philosophy of the greatest player of all time.
BILLY MARTIN DIRECTOR Billy has been a member of the PGA of America since 1991 and studied under Jack Nicklaus, Jack Grout, Jim Flick and Gardner Dickinson. With more than 30 years of professional coaching experience, Billy has developed many high performance players on five different professional tours. SHAY ROBERT SMART LEAD INSTRUCTOR Shay Smart has been a PGA of America Class A professional since 2000 and has coached Kitty Tam and Michelle Cheung of the Hong Kong National Junior Team and Wen Yan Ma of the China Guangzhou Junior Team. Fluent in English and conversant in Mandarin, Shay is an effective teacher in both languages. DENISE DOYLE GOLF INSTRUCTOR As an amateur, Denise was the Junior British and Irish Champion and has represented the Irish International Golf Team and Ireland at World Universities. She is a PGA of America Teaching Professional and is TPI CGFI Certified. 07
JUNIOR PROGRAMMES The philosophy behind our Junior programme is to develop athletes first and competitive golfers thereafter. The most important goal is to foster a love of the game by creating a fun and challenging environment in which to learn. A kid grows up a lot faster on the golf course. PRIVATE Private lessons are available for those junior players who wish to concentrate on their individual needs, whether it is a single session or a series of lessons to expand on existing golf skills in a fun, friendly and encouraging atmosphere. We concentrate on drawing the very best performance from each child, helping them to fulfill their potential as a player and an athlete. GROUPS Our 10 Level Programme takes a total beginner and develops a sound understanding of the fundamentals of the game through a series of 12-week courses. The curriculum covers everything from learning the swing and putting skills to the importance of footwork and speed. Students learn the history of the game and essential etiquette skills and we concentrate on improving fitness levels and overall athletic development. FAMILY This programme is designed for the junior player and their parent who want to learn and foster a passion for the game together. The primary purpose of this new course is to develop a better understanding of the game as a family. The programme lasts for 12 weeks and includes fundamental skills for the full swing as well as an introduction to the short game, including putting. ATHLETIC DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME The Athletic Development Programme develops athletes first and competitive golfers second. Along the way, we foster a deep love of the game. We want younger players to develop their playing skills and a good understanding of the game in an environment that is fun and motivating. We have designed the fitness programme to enhance physical development and elevate abilities using multiple sports to improve coordination for future growth and a healthy life. 09

PRIVATE Our private lessons, conducted by our Nicklaus Academies Certified Coaches, are based on your individual needs as a player. Whether you want a single class to address a specific issue or a series of 6 or 12 lessons to master a more complex challenge, these 60-minute individual classes are designed around your goals. GROUPS The Master Golf group programme is designed to develop the player in the categories of the full swing, the short game and putting. The programme of five parts utilises a straight forward What, Why and How plan which allows players to develop at their own pace while learning with others. COUPLES An engaging and fun programme for couples who want to learn the game together. Our instructors teach a simple approach based the needs and goals of each couple. This programme is available as a single 60-minute lesson or a series of 12 hour-long sessions. SPECIALTY CLINICS Our specialty 90-minute clinics are specifically designed to introduce a particular aspect of the game, from the Nicklaus Driving School (How to Hit a Driver), the Nicklaus Full Swing School (How to a Fairway Wood or Long Iron) to the Nicklaus Scoring School (How to Score Within 100 Yards). ATHLETIC DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME The Athletic Development Programme develops athletes first and competitive golfers second. Along the way, we foster a deep love of the game. We want players to improve their playing skills and a good understanding of the game in an environment that is challenging and motivating. We have designed the fitness programme to enhance physical development and elevate abilities using multiple sports to develop coordination for future growth. CLUB & BALL FITTING Our Club and Ball Fitting programme custom-fits your equipment to your individual needs. Club fitting takes two forms, depending on whether you are looking for an individual club (such as a driver, iron, wedge or putter), or want to fit an entire set of clubs. All fittings are performed with our Flightscope technology. Individual club sessions take 30 minutes and full club fittings are assessed over 90 minutes. 11
CERTIFICATE In all programmes, a Jack Nicklaus Academy of Golf Certificate of Achievement is awarded to each player who successfully completes the course.
