On behalf of the Organizing Committee and the Spanish Royal Winter Sport Federation, we are pleased to invite your national team to attend the 2015/2016 FIS Freestyle Ski World Cup Competitions in Sierra Nevada, Spain, from February 23 rd to 27 th, 2016. The competition will be held in accordance with the International Ski competition Rules (I. C. R.) of the FIS. All National Associations or Federations affiliated to the FIS are invited to participate in the competition. We are committed to host the FIS Freestyle Ski World Cup, because the organization of this event is important to the successful staging of the 2017 FIS Freestyle Ski & Snowboard World Championships. 2016 FIS FREESTYLE SKI RIALS WORLD CUP Sierranevada.es As part of the 2016 FIS Freestyle Ski World Cup Tour February 23-28, 2016 The Spanish Royal Winter Sports Federation and the Sierra Nevada Organizing Committee are glad to invite all National Associations to attend the 2016 FIS Freestyle Ski Aerials World Cup to be held on February 27, 2016. ENTRIES: Preliminary entries will be accepted from National Ski Associations following FIS quotas and rules. Please submit your preliminary entries with the anticipated number of your competition team (including competitors and officials) by Monday, January 18, 2016 / 18.01.2016. In agreement with the FIS, your Final Entries (your room configurations for the lodging) must be received by organizer by Wednesday, February 17, 2016 / 17.02.16* The final names of your competition participants (including competitors and officials) must be submitted to the organizing committee no later than Sunday, February 17, 2016 / 17.02.2016. The online registration system is accessed through the FIS Homepage http://www.fis-ski.com/, Members Section. FIS has established nation Quotas for World Cups. National Ski Teams can only enter World Cup Freestyle Ski Competitors according to the Quota limitations. REGISTRATION: Team s registration will take place at Competition Headquarters, which will be located at The Sport Club Montebajo in Plaza Andalucia. Team s registration/lodging check-in will take place daily beginning on Tuesday, February, 2016 from 12:00 p.m. 8:00 p.m. All fees and deposits must be paid upon registration. To be eligible for participation in the 2016 FIS Freestyle Ski World Cup each competitor must be a citizen of a country from the National Ski Association, with a license and prove this with a valid passport. ACCOMMODATIONS: For the competitors and officials inside the FIS quota, the price for accommodation in double room and half board will be 50 CHF. Also one single room per country for a team official has to be provided. Accommodation will be only available at the FIS rate for the dates of the program, from February 23 to 28, 2016. Early arrivals and late departures are subject to availability and are not subject to the FIS rate. Accommodations will be provided beginning the night of Tuesday, February 23, departing the morning of Sunday, February 28, 2016. Important: Freestyle Skiing WC Rule 4.4: One single room per country and sport will be provided. It is the responsibility of the team to determine who receives this room. An odd number resulting in a 2nd single room will be charged at the equivalent of 100 CHF. Any additional single rooms requested will be provided only if available and at market rate. So as to secure the booking, payment is required before the arrival of the team. At the time of check-in, a major credit card will be required to cover all incidentals. Each team will be held responsible for any damage incurred during their stay. All lodging accommodations are nonsmoking. 3
*Note: Lodging charges apply to all persons listed on the Team Selection Form as of Monday, February 17, 2016 / 17.02.16 regardless of whether they attend the event. Requests for lodging after this point will be at the discretion of the Organizer and fees will be based on prevailing rates (typically well in excess of the FIS rate). Payment must be made at time of check-in via cash or credit card only. To help us better prepare for your visit, please provide us with your flight arrival and departure information as soon as possible. WAX ROOM: There is a waxing center located inside the big underground parking and close to the lifts and the Race Office. Depending on the hotels, the OC could provide some more waxing room at the accommodation TRANSPORTATION: Teams will be responsible for their own transportation to and from Sierra Nevada Resort and the Granada and Malaga Airport. The Organizing Committee can help the teams to find transportation to Sierra Nevada from those airports. Inside village transportation and lift tickets will be provided by the OC. MEDICAL AND ANTI-DOPING: Anti-doping control may be conducted for each event and gender. The Antidoping control will be located at The Sport Club Montebajo in Plaza Andalucia. RACE OFFICE AND TEAM CAPTAINS MEETING The Race Office will be located at the The Sport Club Montebajo in Plaza Andalucia. The Team Captains meetings will be held in Cine Montebajo, close to the Race Office. Both places are in a central location, over the underground parking and close to the Aerials Stadium. Usual time for meetings will be 4:00 p.m. 4
ATHLETE ZONE The athletes will have a zone of warming up next to the Sports Club Montebajo. AWARDS CEREMONY The Awards Ceremony for the FIS Aerials World Cup will be held after the end of the race at the Finish Area. PAYMENT OF PRIZE MONEY The Organizing committee will make prize payments electronically through bank transfer to the accounts of prize-winners. Please be prepared to provide to the organizer (contacts specified above) the following information: account holder s name, name of the bank, bank s address, bank s account number, IBAN, SWIFT. The payment will be completed after the Organizing Committee receives the full and correct payment details of the prize money recipient. BIBS Athletes must wear the official bib during all official training, competition and award ceremonies. The training and competition bibs will be usually distributed at the Team Captains meetings. A refundable deposit of 25 per bib will be charged upon registration. Missing bibs will be charged to the National Ski & Snowboard Associations. RADIO PERMITS Teams are asked to inform the OC about their radio frequencies so as to be able to get the radio permits for them, according to Spanish rules. The information should be sent by e-mail to the Organizing Committee by January 18, 2016. No radio permits can be guaranteed without this request. 5
LIABILITY All athletes, officials and other members of their National Association who attend and participate in the event shall do so at their own risk. The Organizing Committee, the resort corporations, FIS, RFEDI, sponsors and suppliers, their agents, employees and volunteers shall not be held responsible for any losses or injuries incurred or suffered by any athlete, official or other person in conjunction with the organization or staging of the event. All participants are urged not to be negligent in safeguarding their personal belongings at all times. The aforementioned parties will take no responsibility for missing belongings. ACCIDENT INSURANCE Each competitor must have her/his own medical insurance. The Organizing Committee of Sierra Nevada as well as the sponsors, suppliers, their agents and the FIS decline any responsibility for accidents, damaged or lost equipment and second and third party claims during the event. All athletes must have previously signed the FIS Athletes Declaration form in order to register. ACCIDENT PROTOCOL In the case of accidents on courses during the event, the medical personnel from the Organizing Committee and the Ski Patrol personnel will be responsible for any medical decision or evacuation to the local hospital in cooperation with the National Associations medical personnel identified on the entry form. 6
