Golf Outings Skippack Golf Club takes pride in providing professional golf outings for the best possible experience. Please take a moment to review the information below. If there is something that your group is interested in that is not listed please ask our professional staff so we can look into accommodating your request. Skippack GC has everything you would need for your outing. Our facilities include a golf course that is perfect for golfers of all abilities; a practice range for your pre round warm up; a professional staff that includes 3 teaching professionals, a restaurant and patio that can accommodate small groups and a formal open air setting for large groups. Skippack Golf Club will set-up all golf carts with the names of players in each group and provide each group with an official personalized score card as part of the cost of golf for all shotgun starts. Additional Outing Options Open Range Range balls will be laid out at the practice range for all golfers in the outing $2.00 per golfer Beat the Pro $3.00 per golfer This option is great for all fundraisers, charities, or any other event. The price per golfer is paid as part of the outing dues. Then each golfer will have the opportunity to try and hit their ball closer than one of our professional staff members. For this chance the golfer will typically pay $5 (it could be made any amount you choose) to the pro. This $5 will go directly to the charity or foundation. If the golfer succeeds in getting closer to the hole he or she would win a free greens fee for Skippack Golf Club. Designated Driver $3.00 per golfer This is another option for scramble outings that are looking to make collect for a cause. The price per golfer is paid as part of the outing dues. The designated driver is one of professional staff standing on the forward tee of a par five and hitting a drive that can be used by the scramble team. In essence the pro will become the 5 th person in the scramble. If the golfers would like this to try and better their score the cost would be $5 per person. 100% of that money would go to the foundation or charity. Gift Cards How do you ensure the golfers in your outing get a prize that they actually want or need? Give them a gift card from Skippack Golf Club s fully stocked golf shop. If they use the gift card that day they will receive an extra 10% off of their purchase. Logo Balls There is no better way to give your outing that special touch. Skippack GC can provide your outing with a logo ball with your companies or foundations log on it. We can order logo balls from, Srixon, Titleist, Bridgestone and Nike. Shirts Giving each golfer in an outing a logoed shirt doesn t have to be expensive. Skippack GC can find a shirt that fits any budget. Tips on Running a Successful Golf Outing Plan everything Choose a date and time well ahead of time in order to advertise properly Put down a $500 dollar deposit to hold the date Get a prepayment from all golfers o Skippack GC asks each outing to sign a contract 10 days in advance noting the exact amount of players. You will be charged for this number. If you collect money the day of the event you will only be hurting your cause. It pays to be organized. Let the golf course know of anything you are planning to do The more you can let us know about what you would like the better we can be prepared. Examples of this are registration tables, prize tables, contests, signs and banners. If you have volunteers make sure that they know their role and have the information to perform their duties. Where will they be stationed; how long will they be there; what is their purpose. A volunteer with no specific duty will end up being counterproductive. Have different ways of raising money for your cause o The beauty of running a golf outing as a fundraiser is all of the ways to raise money. Here are some examples: 50/50 drawings, silent auctions, selling mulligan s, putting, chipping or driving contests, and selling sponsorship signs. Skippack GC can help with this by offering beat the pro and designated driver, which are outlined in our outing information. Tell the golfers a registration time for the outing. DO NOT tell golfers only the tee time. Shotgun starts are sent on the golf course at the tee time. That means people need to be here at least 30 minutes before tee off so that they can register, find their cart and get settled before a 5-10 minute introduction before the start time. Nothing ruins outings like confusion right before getting onto the golf course. As the outing coordinator you should be at the golf course at least 1 hour before your tee time. If you have items to setup you should consider getting here up to 2 hours before the start time.
