2014-2015 Calf Scramble Guidelines and Requirements
Before you get started Calf Scramble Winners, you have caught a calf in the Rio Grande Valley Livestock Show & Rodeo Calf Scramble. Now it is time to start looking for a beef project. As a winning scrambler you have assumed a yearlong commitment to raise a beef heifer selected personally from a breeder of your choice. Time management, proper feeding and grooming, and hours of work everyday are required of you, the participant. You will have to keep careful records and submit a record book to the Rio Grande Valley Livestock Show prior to the 2015 Show. A catch entitles you to an $800 purchase certificate, paid by a generous donation from Elsa State Bank. If you have purchase certificates from Houston or San Antonio, they may be combined with your RGVLS certificate to purchase a beef project. You are required to participate in the Rio Grande Valley Livestock Show Junior Beef Show in March 2015.
