Signing Book

Introduc)on This book is designed to show a variety of signs that may be useful to know for daily life around the school, and can be used with all children to encourage communica)on. Signs should be used alongside speaking and appropriate facial expression at all )mes. Signs should be incorporate direc)onality and placement to further express meaning, e.g. if you want the child to sit down in front of you, do the sign in front of you, if you want the child to sit down next to you, change the posi)on of the sign so that it is placed next to you on the appropriate side.
