2. Minutes of Last Meeting The minutes of the April meeting had been circulated by email prior to the Committee Meeting. JMH noted that the venue shown (Ighten Leigh Social Club) was incorrect the meeting having taken place at the Prairie Sports Village. 3. Matters Arising (not addressed on the agenda) Winter Training - MS advised that he had spoken to Steve Bell (Readstone United U16s), but had not confirmed that the club can no longer sub-let 1 / 3 pitch to them on a Thursday evening. - JMH confirmed that the continuation of the U18s meant that the Thursday evening slot would no longer be available to sub-let. Prairie - JMH contacted Wes Kellow at Burnley Leisure to see if they had plans to provide Hockey/Futsal nets. In an email Wes confirmed that they had no immediate plans to do so. - JMH circulated a couple of drafts for a 3m x 1m sign, which Burnley Leisure have confirmed could be placed on the perimeter fencing at the entrance to the facility. Player Registration / Kit Collection - Date has still to be confirmed. Coaching - MS has spoken with Paul McGladdery and offered him the opportunity to coach at the club. Funday - JH confirmed that it had not been possible to agree a date. - One possibility may be the August Bank Holiday Monday. 4. Team Updates JDS / U9 - JDS/U9s train Monday. - Manager feels club and players would benefit from the club running a Saturday Club at an indoor venue somewhere in Burnley for players aged 8 and under. This would also free-up time to concentrate on more technical coaching for the U9 team. U10 Nothing to report. U11 - Nothing to report JMH to amend minutes before uploading onto the website MS to confirm with Steve Bell JMH to revise draft based on comments received. JMH and CMC to circulate date when known MS to speak with Paul McGladdery to discuss options JH to explore options 2

U12 - Nothing to report U13 - DMC indicated that following discussions with parents, the team wishes to join the North Manchester League for the 2016/17 Season. - The NML has indicated that it is happy to accept an application, but we require clearance from the Lancashire FA. - Mike Nadal at the LFA has stated that on the basis of the information provided to date, they are unlikely to support the proposal, but has invited a more detailed formal written request from the club. - Club Secretary has concerns that the administration associated with three leagues and the FA will prove to be simply too much. - DMC indicated he was happy to take on the secretarial duties for the NML. - Committee asked the Club Secretary to submit a formal written request to the Lancashire FA on behalf of the U13s. U14 - Nothing to report. U15 - JR indicated that he would be stepping down as coach of the U15s. - The clubs appeal against re-playing the U15s match against Haslingden over Bank Holiday Weekend was heard by the NVL Executive on 16 th May and upheld. - The match was re-arranged and played on Thursday 26 th May. Burnley won the game 5-3 meaning that we will finish the season level at the top of the table with Haslingden. - With the season now officially over, and the chance of playing a deciding game in accordance with NVL Rule 12 unlikely, it would appear that at worst the U15s will share the league title. - BFC is still awaiting official confirmation from the LFA and NVL that their official complaint against Haslingden for fielding an ineligible player against us earlier in the season has been upheld. The club has been advised that Haslingden has requested a verbal hearing. If found guilty NVL Rule 8(P) recommends the loss of any points gained (3). - The club understands that Haslingden has requested a verbal hearing and that this must be held within 140 days of the charge being made. U16 - Nothing to report. SDS - Pre-season starts in two-week s time. JMH to write to the LFA 3

First Team - First pre-season friendly takes place on 19 th June, with matches on every Sunday thereafter. - The club has acquired a second strip (yellow) via Emma White and the Burnley FC Academy. It wil only be worn 2-3 times per season, but will unfortunately it will carry the Oak Furnitureland logo on the front rather than the team sponsor. 5. Chairman s Report KJ confirmed that he will not stand for re-election at the AGM in June, having only taken on the role as a temporary measure following the resignation of long-serving Club Chairman Tim Milne-Redhead earlier this year. 6. Secretary s Report (a) (b) (c) (d) West Lancashire Girls Football League Next meeting is the AGM in June. JMH to attend North Valley & Burnley Unity Youth Football League Nothing to report from the March Committee Meeting, with the exception of the game against Haslingden addressed under Item 4 (U15s) above. North Manchester League Addressed under Item 4 (U13s) above. Registrations for 2016/17 Season The number of players currently registered to play for Burnley FC Girls & Ladies is currently 163, but this figure may include some Open Age players no longer with the club. There are several new girls known to be training with the clubs junior teams. They will complete the new 2016/17 Player Registration forms. Club Secretary circulated BFC and WLGFL Player Registration forms for 2016/17 Season to all managers last week. They are also on the club website. The Managers and Coaches form is also on the website. NVL forms should be up on the league website now, but will be available at the AGM in June. Players who have not completed a BFC Player Registration form and returned it to the Club Secretary are NOT insured under the terms of the clubs insurance policy and should not play in league or cup competitions. Registration Forms can be downloaded and completed in advance and brought along on Player Registration / Kit Collection night, or collected and completed on the night (date tbc). Team Managers to action 4

(e) (f) Lancashire Football Association U15s Manager charged by LFA under Rule E3 for improper conduct. The charge relates to comments made on social media over three years ago. Following consideration of written representations the charge has been found to be proven. A 35 day ban, from the start of the new season, and a 75.00fine has been issued by the LFA. All Managers, Coaches, Players and Officials to be responsible about what they say on social media in connection with footballing matters, especially if personal accounts are not locked down. Audit of Club Equipment The form (used last year) will be sent out to all Team Managers by the Club Secretary in next few days. Please complete accurately, it s not just an audit of what we own and its condition, it s effectively an order form for the new equipment needed ahead of the 2016/17 Season. New equipment will normally be purchased in a single transaction in accordance with information managers put on these forms. Where this is not the case, please contact the Club Treasurer before making any purchases from Samba Sports and make sure that you use the clubs account as we receive a significant discount on the list price. If goals are damaged please identify as clearly as possible which parts need to be replaced, as each item can be bought separately. All club members to note Team Managers to action 7. Membership Secretary s Report A number of unallocated players are making payments to the club. These are detailed on page 7 of the Treasurers Report. Payments from one player with the U13s are not currently up to date, as she left and then returned to the club last summer. There is a further issue to be resolved regarding payments from a player with the SDS. Agreed to consider payments for players who attend University at a future meeting. Total income from subscription payments in 2015/16 stands at 24,381.50 Arrears have been reduced from 12% down to 3% over the year. Players in arrears at the start of the 2016/17 Season will NOT be eligible to play until these are cleared or an agreed payment plan is in place. JP to prepare a report Team Managers to note 5

8. Treasurer s Report (a) (b) Accounts Income 2015/16 = 39,124.75 Expenditure 2015/16 = 24,954.67 Balance = 17,552.48 (up from 2,100 at end of 20145/15) Of this total approximately is ring-fenced for known commitments (i.e. playing shirts, training kit, outstanding pitch fees etc.) Sponsorship The existing sponsors for the U10s and U14s wish to renew their agreements for the 2016/17 Season. CMC advised that she had done little to secure new team sponsors pending the outcome of the meeting with Burnley FC in the Community on 14 th June, as they have a sponsor for the whole operation lined up. 9. Presentation Evening Feedback Feedback was extremely positive although there were some issues that could ve been improved upon. Noise during presentations and the shortage of bar staff were the main issues. Burnley FC noted that we should not have sold confectionery on the night as food sales is one way they make money back, having given us the room for free. The raffle raised 279 the feeling was that there were too many prizes and people lost focus during the proceedings. The auction raised 210 the timing of this caused concern as many people had left. As a result some items did not achieve their potential value. Only 70 programmes were sold this year, although attendance was high! Total cost of the event was 950, with the total raised on the night 640. The net cost of the event (including the provision of medals and trophies) was 310. 10 Growth of the Game Grant Application The application has been accepted. Initial concern following submission of the form that the club may not be able to fulfil the conditions of the grant in the absence of an U10s team, but this has been overcome by the setting up of the new U18s team. MS noted that it will be important that (with the exception of Georgia Payton who is moving up) players are not poached by the SDS and First Team. Club will draw down 1,050 in Year 1 and 450 in Year 2. This can fund additional equipment, coaching, facility hire etc. associated with establishing a new team/taking on players. Will need to review should the merger with Burnley FC in the Community continue apace as they are a Registered Charity. 6

11 Burnley FC in the Community Proposal Burnley FC bid to become a Tier 3 Regional Training Centre for girls and women s football was rejected by the FA in December 2015. One of the reasons given was their lack of experience in running female football. Burnley FC cannot bid for RTC status for at least the next three years. To have any chance of success they need to gain experience of running girls and ladies team before submitting an application. As a result Burnley FC in the Community is keen to forge a closer working partnership with Burnley FC Girls & Ladies. Burnley FC in the Community may also need to meet participation in sport outputs associated with any grants helping to fund their new training and events centre at Brierfield Mills. Burnley FC in the Community has funding and a sponsor in place. They will make a full-time appointment to run the new girls football programme. This will take administrative duties away from the existing Committee and take them in house at Turf Moor. Members should be under no illusion that Burnley FC intend to run a girls football programme going forward, but it is equally clear that they would prefer to work with us. If this is not possible the clubs right to use the official strip and badge is unlikely to continue. As many of our girls like to say they play for Burnley, this could see a number of players transfer to the new Burnley FC operation. Full details of the proposal have been circulated to club members and a Q&A session will take place at 6.00pm on Tuesday 14 th June at Turf Moor All club members are invited to send in questions for the meeting and asked to attend if at all possible 12 Any Other Business None 13 Next Meeting Time: 19:00 Date: Tuesday 28 June Annual General Meeting Venue: Windermere Suite, Prairie Sports Village, Windermere Avenue, Burnley, BB12 6SZ (Tel: 01282 422306) Tuesday 26 th July 2016 Tuesday 30 th August 2016 Tuesday 27 th September 2016 Tuesday 25 th October 2016 Tuesday 29 th November 2016 Tuesday 20 th December 2016 Note in diaries 7
